I’m confused as to why CPS wasn’t called when home health couldn’t get in contact with the family repeatedly, and the child needed outside care. These monsters should never be let out of prison. They have no regard for human life if they allowed their own child to suffer and die like this. And all for a check. They wanted money after the initial injury, when the child was in (what sounds like) a persistent vegetative state. Again, because of THEIR negligence. There truly is evil in the world, folks. In most states, it isn't considered neglect to decline any type of services unless those services are court ordered, which I would doubt was the case here.
I simply cannot think, of any member, of *any ANIMAL* species, *_that would treat their offspring in this kind of way!_* This child could have, and *should have,* been allowed to die with dignity following the initial accident. The financial help given these two pigs, was more than many could have expected. They took the money and made the choice, it was their choice to make and they alone made it. As a Granddad of kids so dearly loved, I simply cannot find a place inside of me to feel any kind of sorrow for these animals! I think the comment is saying that as sad as it is for the child to have been assessed and found to not have any brain activity, it was indeed a blessing in this case. The child didn’t suffer the pain that comes along with bed sores, malnutrition etc bc he was only “alive” bc of the vent he was put on after the near drowning. Therefore he could not feel anything at all.
I feel like the child was not being monitored, and that's why he fell in the pool. The parents felt guilty and couldn't disconnect the life support. They felt too much remorse. I suspect that when home health started suspecting neglect and raised concerns, they stopped allowing the visits. It sadly snowballed from there.
All for a disability check I feel like the state should stepped in and took the child when they knew their child was brain dead and wanted to take them home 😢

I'm curious why the visiting nurse didn't notify Child protective services that they were unable to help with care. That baby NEVER should have gone home after the drowning to begin with. Not saying the parents aren't responsible for the baby's death but the nurse should have done more. RIP sweet baby.

I worked for the home health company that this child was with we tried so hard to get our nurses out to the home (I believe after they moved) but the parents would not return calls, changed their phone numbers and would not respond to emails then for months of not having any contact with the parents they called from another number asking for services and when our nurses would go out to the home they refused to open the doors for them!! This is just heart breaking 😢

I think the comment is saying that as sad as it is for the child to have been assessed and found to not have any brain activity, it was indeed a blessing in this case. The child didn’t suffer the pain that comes along with bed sores, malnutrition etc bc he was only “alive” bc of the vent he was put on after the near drowning. Therefore he could not feel anything at all.

I feel like the child was not being monitored, and that's why he fell in the pool. The parents felt guilty and couldn't disconnect the life support. They felt too much remorse. I suspect that when home health started suspecting neglect and raised concerns, they stopped allowing the visits. It sadly snowballed from there.
All for a disability check I feel like the state should stepped in and took the child when they knew their child was brain dead and wanted to take them home 😢

This is by far the saddest story I've every seen and I'm preying that dear little man didn't feel any pain throughout this tragic ordeal of neglect and greed it saddened my heart to see that the love of money came before the love of there own flesh and blood. God will punish them for this horrible and deplorable act. My heart goes out to everyone that was a part of this investigation and incident.
What’s sad this happens often. A Louisiana couple let their daughter lay in one spot so long she melted into the couch. You should look it up it’s horrible 😢

I'm curious why the visiting nurse didn't notify Child protective services that they were unable to help with care. That baby NEVER should have gone home after the drowning to begin with. Not saying the parents aren't responsible for the baby's death but the nurse should have done more. RIP sweet baby.
My question is if it was said the baby was brain dead why allow the child to go home it had to be known that the baby would die? So how can you say the baby was dead before they decided to not attend the child? The child could of died the day of and they got scared. So many questions but they made a bad choice all the way around.

Why didn't health care call DCF on parents.
I worked for the home health company that this child was with we tried so hard to get our nurses out to the home (I believe after they moved) but the parents would not return calls, changed their phone numbers and would not respond to emails then for months of not having any contact with the parents they called from another number asking for services and when our nurses would go out to the home they refused to open the doors for them!! This is just heart breaking 😢

I completely understand and feel for this child but is it glaring to only me that his presumption of guilt of the parents in such a public manner will hurt the prosecution's case?
