Great runthrough Shea. I think you have passed the initiation period and no longer need to tell us that you are not Rahdo.

Great runthrough Shea! You captured all about the game (at least in my eyes). Currently I have the 9 card PnP version, but will upgrade to the retail copy soon, since it adds so much more to an excellent solo game.

Hello, other Rhado! Thanks for the excellent review!

That is a brilliant way to save on table space of this game. I had to play it sideways.

The ships aren't purple, they are more of a red/pink

This looks like something Rahdo would really enjoy. Was he not interested because it’s just solo?

if there had been a co-op mode for 2p in this (and i don't see why there's not) i would have been all over it! :)

I don't see why you couldn't play this as a 2 player co-op as it is.
Just discuss the plays between you, and alternate the "main" player who has final say for each turn in case you don't come to an agreement.

@@rahdo but, I look for your reviews of solo play before I decide to buy games. I think of you for solo, it's wild that you have a solo rep and that it's not your prefered

Unfortunately, I totally still do not understand how to play this game. Even the runthrough video is a little confusing to me. :-(
For example, what are all of the different elements: For example, yellow is for energy - But why do you need energy? What were all the other systems with the numbers on them? What are the things you mention about the “” signs and moving the aliens, was it?? Also, what was it about the difference between the grey dice and the white dice again?? See, I am still sooooooooo confused about how this game works.
It looks like an interesting game, though.

Hi JJ... Just got the game myself and I agree, it can be very confusing!
But I'll try and help you out on the things you mention....
The Yellow symbols are indeed 'energy'. In the case of the Fighter Plane Box that Shea mentions at the start of the runthrough, there are 3 'energy' symbols. This means you must pay 3 ENERGY points to activate the Fighter Plane attack. The row of Yellow numbers down the left side of the Home Base is the ENERGY point track. (So, if you don't actually have 3 ENERGY points on the ENERGY point track when you come to activate your Fighters, they can't be activated! - you have wasted your Dice....) The Yellow Energy Rooms in the homebase are where you would place your Dice if you wanted to increase the ENERGY points on the ENERGY point track...
The (-1) or (+1) numbers in grey subtract or add a 1 to the Dice you place on them. So, if you placed a '5' Dice on the Fighter Plane box in the first column of the fourth row of the homebase, your Fighters for that attack would be at ''4' because of the minus 1 in the grey box. (This '4' would be the attack number they use when shooting down the aliens on explosion squares...)
The < and > show which direction the alien will move if it lands on that particular square. So, first the alien drops the number of squares indicated on your chosen Dice, then shifts to the column either < left or >right, depending.....
And the dice.... If you place a white dice on your homebase, you must then re-roll any remaining dice you have in your hand. This is a good idea when you have a cruddy hand of dice, as Shea does at the start of the runthrough, but it can also, sometimes mean you have to reroll a good hand......
      ANyway, hope that's helpful!

As someone hoping to learn how to play this game this video wasn’t very helpful. Rhadho videos are usually my go-to for this but this one wasn’t very good, unfortunately.
