When they started using tapered spacers a few years ago, it essentially kept the cars in a pack by preventing someone from driving away; instead, drivers fall behind at the worst (if that makes sense).
@@TriovalLife I sit up in the Ford Upper deck by turn 8 every year. Can see the whole infield portion of the track from up high. Sitting in Chrysler I for the 600.
I sat in the veranda section for the fall race in 2016 and liked it, but hated how the ushers would bother me every 45ish mins to see my wristband smh I'm just glad it wasn't my imagination of the 600 in 2016 being less than cool for someone else 😆
I hope you had a great time like I did and that you get to attend many more! That area down there is where I used to sit when I was younger because I could see the frontstetch for only $40 at the time!
@@TriovalLife I had a great time thank you! My friend took me to Martinsville a few months later. We're already planning to come back to the Coca-Cola 600 in May and plan to try to sit in the same area again! We're hoping to do another Race or two in the season as well!

before, it was more about throttle control, whereas now, it's more about aero mistakes that gain/lose time

I've sat in Chrysler one time (2016 Race Truex dominated in less than 4 hours) and it felt awkward for some reason 🤷♀️ So I've avoided it since 😅

I was also there for my first ever Nascar Race. I was sitting in the GN Tower Row 5 Seat 26. Which was just before the first turn
