- Can I catch the fish of my childhood dreams? Join us as we fish in an epic 3 vs 3 competition over 3 days, in the rural countryside of southwest France. I've been so excited about this trip for so long, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The fish just ket on getting bigger and bigger. That's right, we are bass fishing targeting Black Bass (or Largemouth bass), a species we don't have in the UK.
3 novice Englishmen against 3 expert French, what could go wrong?

If youre still in France. I recommend having a go at catching some of their catfish. You might need to upscale or borrow some equipment though but I promise that you'll have an extremely good time!

Me too! In rain? That's interesting. Does the water disturbance not detract from the lure?
@@adventurefishinguk As long as it is not a torrential downpour, in my experience the rain gets bass going.
I think they know it causes food to be washed in the water from the banks, or can disturb what is hiding on the edge of the banks.
A similar concept to trout getting very lethargic with warm water temps. The rain cools the water off and causes the bass to go into feeding mode. They push shallow to feed when they feel the water cooling off. I’m sure there is more to it than that, but that’s what I’ve noticed!

Seabass is the one puts up a nice fight even smaller ones fight well plus taste amazing but id love to do fresh water bass fishing

Wait till you catch a black bass that weighs upwards of 20 pounds and is 34 inches long! YEE-HAW!! They're prevalent in the Southern US states.

Been tubing once on a lake in Canada, snow falling , otters swimming . Freezing cold and feeling very odd to be flippering around catching Canadian trout on the fly . All fun tho

Small mouth bass pull way harder .. nice fish small but nice

They must have been introduced they aren’t native I don’t think but plenty of them in the south

What gram rod do I need for perch but could handle a pike or two
