Madi! You have inspired me to not only apply for a substitute school nurse position but to also start my bachelors degree! I had a baby 12 weeks ago and I am not ready to go back into the hospital.. I can’t stand being away from her for so long. But I decided that substitute school nursing would allow me to have a flexible schedule and I will be home every time I work by no later then 4pm. I have an interview Thursday! I love watching your school nurse videos! I just graduated from nursing school back in April. There aren’t many on CZcams that I can relate to!

Congrats!!! I’ve been watching for about 4 years now and your growth is incredible! You have really helped me with my nursing school journey! I remember not being able to pass exams in Anatomy and Physiology and messaged you for study tips and you actually responded with advice and helped! I just passed the hardest semester of our masters program and graduate in a year!!

I just graduated nursing school and am taking my boards in 11 days. I got a job as a new grad (not a residency) in the OR which is my dream. I did school nurse shadow and health screening my last semester and I was shocked at how little they were allowed to do. I was talking to the nurses I shadowed and they said it’s only changed in recent years. One was even a pediatric NP and had no ability to give meds that weren’t given by the family with permission to give it. I remember when I was in grade school the school nurse was my friend essentially and was able to do so much.
Blonde roast is a really light roast coffee. I have to add creamer, sugar, oat milk, whip cream and a caramel drizzle in the cup and on top. It sounds like a lot, but if I'm not buying my Starbucks from the actual Starbucks, I want it to taste as close to my regular order as possible. It does save me money. For the holidays though I've been on a peppermint mocha kick. I LOVE the Stok peppermint mocha, with Walmart's peppermint bark creamer, liquid sugar OR Monin peppermint coffee syrup, and a splash of extra creamy oat milk. I drizzle chocolate syrup in and around the inside of the cup, pour all my stuff, top with Walmart's peppermint whip cream, drizzle a little more chocolate syrup, and sprinkle with crushed candy canes. Walmart sells some by Bach already crushed and I love them! I know it sounds so extra, but it's so freaking good!

I make my own coffee creamer with milk, half and half, and whatever flavor you like (brown sugar/vanilla/cinnamon) and it is SO much better than store bought and so easy to make

I just got back from my local hospital on Thursday November 30. It was a wild ride. I went to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) to be monitored for seizure. As soon as I was hooked up I had an episode and low blood pressure. I was sent to the ICU imediatley. My final night I was taken off of the EEG and sent back to the neurology floor. At 3:47 AM EST on November 30 I woken up to get my head MRI done. I am thankful for all of the nurses that helped me when I was in hospital. I appreciate all nurses for what they do. I want to be a nurse in a hospital, but am not going to school for it because of the 12 hour shifts they do. I know I can't do a 12 hour shift due to my epilepsy.
I am so sorry to hear about the rough couple days you have had recently. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I am happy the nurses helped take care of you during your stay. I recommend doing outpatient nurses if you are worried about the 12 hour shifts. There are a lot of other nursing avenues aside from bedside!

Chobani coffee creamer or natural bliss don’t have the oils in them and taste great!

I just buy the coffee syrups like they use at coffee shops from tj max or Marshall’s and then use that with half and half or milk in my coffee.
