- FIRST BLOCK YOUR CAR TIRES!!! How to install genuine Toyota Brand rear mud guards on a 2020 - 20201 Toyota corolla (or corolla hybrid). Video editing isn't the greatest - SORRY- THIS WAS SHOT REAL QUICK. But, there are some tricks to installing these mud guards to save you a lot of time trying to figure things out. There are no video that i could find on You Tube that had any installation advice. I only hope this will help someone trying to do this themselves. I purchased these mud guards for $70 - from the Toyota dealer. Always practice safety. MAKE SURE TO PLACE TIRE BLOCKS UNDER/BEHIND YOUR WHEELS!
For the people wondering on the sedan the front guards require nothing on the sedan all the holes are already there straight up plug and play for the sedan model. Overall very easy to install if you have a small screwdriver that fits between the tire and guard. I was using a micro thumb screwdriver i have no idea where it came from but probably harbor freight. Just put these on my 2022 SE model.
Thanks for tips. Finished today. Notes: There were 3 small dimples in plastic where holes go so didn't have to worry about lining up with part. Screw driver seemed too risky to me since this is my first brand new car. Used plastic trim tool to pop push pins out. You can pull car back panel and plastic piece apart with your hands. Also, when looking up part, the 2020 LE is same as 2021 LE (couldn't look up 2021 on Toyota part sites).
Awesome job thanks for saving me over an hour of fiddling around. I got both on in 20 min! Well done.
glad it helped - thanks for watching
So glad I found this video, which proved invaluable. like so many things, easy when you know how! i am in the UK and have just bought a 2023 Corolla Excel, Touring Sports, and while the front flaps were easy to fit, not so the rear pair. The video made it so easy, when you know what to do, and in what sequence. Thank you
Glad it helped out - good luck with your car! cheers
I not get my mudflaps in Germany...for Toyota aygo.
For rear mudflap they said stopped production...lol
For my touring spot genuine I got it...
.
Thank you. I appreciate your post. I know nothing about cars but this video helped me do it myself.
thanks - saved a little time
This shit should just come with the car
i agree - !!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the video
you are welcome - hope it helped -
Nice vedio sir..... Only thing camera shaking..... Eyes are paining.....🎉
sorry for camera shaking - wanted to shoot it quick
Many thanks for this video. I would never have figured out how to fit the rear ones, as the instruction sheet is probably the worst I have ever seen. Almost illegible. The fitting to a 2021 UK model is different in that only the three studs need to be removed from the underside, which allows the inner and outer plastic to be prised apart with your hands. There is a slot in the underneath part where the clip goes. Replacing the studs was a problem until I found you have to move apart the washer & the head before inserting into the hole, then push the head home. Easy when you know how. 🙄
glad to help
THANK YOU GOD BLESS YOU 🙌 🙏
sure thing
this video instruction will help you instal lmud guards in less than 1 hour - it shows you a key couple of tricks that took a while to figure out
you don't need to losen anything in the wheel well the bolt from the bottom let you pull the body panel out and see and add clips
Did you see any difference at all on mpgs after installing them? I am wondering if they did not come with them from factory due to aerodynamics.
Good question - Do you have a hybrid? I'm very concerned about mpg and would not have installed these if it was a concern. they are fairly "small" so i don't think they would have any effect on wind dynamics.. toyota doesn't even install these on any cars (i believe) as a cost cutting. i did not assess the before and after mpg.
@michaelp8856 I also just bought a 2021 Hybrid Corolla that's why I was curious. I think you're right that they won't make any noticeable difference. Thanks for the video, I'm going to install them on my car this coming weekend.
@@raulcanalesvelazquez1170You're welcome. Good luck with your car. i've managed to achieve 60 mpg - driving pretty conservatively. note that the mud flaps are not that large but help a little to keep some the dirt and snow melt of some of the car.
Insufferable. Not planned out.
yes - not planned out sorry. i think there are pointers in the video that can help - that was my intent - sorry to dissapoint sorry i'm not NVDIA
