Elk Camp 2023 PT 3 More snow, javelina, saved a cow, but no bull elk

Well, I struck out on the bull elk, but we had a lot of fun.
Having my son and granddaughter there was the most fun.
We walked some, but the snow was hard to be quiet in. We glassed when we could, but only saw deer. We did see a few cow elk in one area, but no bulls.
We saw a javelina, lots of deer and cattle.
Cody shot a coyote with my rifle. They are legal to hunt year around in Arizona. My rifle was dead on so that was a plus.
We even saved a cow from a cattle guard. Gave her a fighting chance to survive anyhow. Something I would hope someone would do if one of our cows was in the same predicament.
Next year I am putting in for the September hunts. The snow was beautiful, but not a fan of hunting in it.
