I bought my first gopro camera (hero 9) at the age of 75 years old. I've owned one camera (Canon T7) until then. Basically, it's just a camera for pictures. The Gopro 9 has made me not use my Canon. The gopro 9 is great. I've learned so much, and the gopro does so much more than a basic camera. It feels great to share photos now. I am a regular old dude and love taking pictures. Over time, I've bought a few things for the gopro. Everything has made it even better. But without that, it's still the coolest camera I've ever owned. Timed pictures while I'm sleeping, time lapse, regular photos, night time lapse of stars moving.....they are all more than I've ever been able to do with any camera. Buy one, you will not regret it, I promise.

Hi Jordan. Thx for sharing your expertise. Yes Gopro is a good action camera for beginners...as you did explain...less fragile than an Insta360 X3 as for example, plus you do have a hydrophobic lens which is very convenient. There are a bunch of possible accessories so multiple mounts. 😉
Been using my original GoPro hero 4 silver for eight years filming offshore sailing. It's been bullet proof. Plan to finally upgrade to a GP11 this year.

That is great to hear that the Hero 4 is still producing for you! You will be in for a nice surprise when you get the Hero 11. The stabilization that was introduced with the Hero 7 (and has improved since) will have a big impact on your videos. Just so you know, the Hero 12 will probably come out mid September. After waiting so long, you might want to wait to see what they have to offer.

My first buying a GoPro was bad & still is it's the first & the last. Had nothing but issues with them. Overheating fast battery dying. Thinking of switching to DJI Action Camera.

And i am totally new for action cameras Do you also tell about How to watch it on a tv ? How if all your hdmi ports are occupied ? And Do you have a new card every time or Do you use the same ? I've GoPro 10 and in my opinion, this is the best camera in every aspect. I purchased Insta360 GO3 and found GoPro much better for regular daily use (not only for extreme users).

I still can’t decide what to use for my main video camera for my holiday - GoPro 10 or iPhone 13 Pro Max
Hi there, I would use both if you can but the GoPro would be my main camera. AGoPro is nice for longer videos so you can just swap out memory cards when it fills up. I like the look of GoPro footage a lot better than my iPhone 13 Pro, but for some shots (zoomed in for example), the iPhone is a better choice. I hope that helps and have a great holiday!
Do you use the Vivid or flat profile when filming?… this vid looks like it was recorded in Vivid colour profile.

Thanks for asking. I recorded all of the clips in this vid using Vivid. I feel like the colors in Vivid are pretty spot on for my environment, so I usually just go with Vivid.

Both companies make great cameras, but it really depends on what you are filming and how much you like to edit. You can watch my Hero 11 vs X3 comparison for more reasons why you would choose one over the other. Thanks so much!
not really for beginners. it's hard for someone to invest in a gopro and additional equipment. In addition, you need to buy a video editing program and, of course, have a computer worth at least €1,500 for 4k or 5k videos. it is excellent for beginners who have more money or who have all this in advance. maybe it's better to start investing in additional mobile phone equipment.
