Would like to have seen Qui-gon sooner, perhaps offering advice or inspiration to Obi-Wan back on track? That "you were not ready to see me" seemed like an easy excuse for not writing him in.
I did really enjoy the whole series overall but this episode was just breathtaking, so many emotions mixed... from pure tension and joy out of that "last" duel, to those little goodbye (for now) moments with Leia (her theme playing while Obi-wan tells her about her parents gave me a major knot in the throat, so beautiful yet sad) and Luke that just made me cry. It was just soo heartwarming and really gave A New Hope a whole new dimension of emotion to that prologue with Luke in the farm with Owen and Beru (their deaths clearly have a different meaning now and I'm sure they gave the Empire a good last fight) and, of course, Leia's message to Kenobi "help me Obi-wan Kenobi, you are my only hope" REALLY hits different now. This was pure Star Wars. P.s. It still hurts to think about her, but I'm sure that Carrie Fisher would be really proud of this young Princess. May The Force be with all of us.
What's sad to me is the Reva character herself is a good addition to the universe, but she should not have been in this series. Put her on an inquisitor show and that would be fine. Taking away screentime from Obi's development was a missed opportunity.
