Ronaldo was rushing Cavani off the pitch when he saw him hopping toward the far end, intending to steal precious seconds from the Portugal side to score before the end of the match. It amazes me how often this moment is interpreted as a kind gesture.

    5:11 The video glitched here but if you want to know what happenned here; So a weight lifter promised his late wife that he would win an Olympic medal. So the day of the Olympics, he did. And he stood holding up his medal and his wife's photo. So wholesome

    i remember this one basketball player came to my YMCA when i was in like 3rd grade , and we were having an assembly in the gym to meet him , but since i didn’t really have any friends i sat in the back with my favorite staff member there , and when he wanted to have a volunteer to do a trick with him , i kinda slightly raised my hand , even if everyone in front of me had their hand raised way higher . he literally picked me , from the back , and i have never been so happy

      it was not marathon but a stage of a triathlon "league". The exahausted brother was about to win the "league". His brother had no chance of winning anything "but" the single event itself. Hence the heroic aid to his brother.
      The brother in problem was actually set to run home on cruise control and win, but instead he made a fatal choice to speed up to get a better time. That caused his problem. Actually after the event his helping brother call him f***** idiot for not just run it home safe 😀

    5:20 the one he skipped I have seen the video. It is so emotional. Story: That man with the weights was lifting 70 or higher. His wife died 9 months before the olympics though. So he always had a photo of her with him. So when he won the gold medal he held her picture out. It’s so sweet but sad🥺 I can’t believe he missed it

      I agree! I did really like the first one, since they wouldn't have been doing anything overtly rude if they had just taken the picture as is, but it was a really nice sportsmanship moment that they so quickly agreed together to give him a lift and let him be a better part of the photo!

    Classy people, decent human beings. One can be respectful in sports, to bad some participants don't feel the need to be, like some football players.
    Very touching the brother who help his brother over the finish line and helped him cross over first, the Father that helped his son over the finish line when he pulled a hamstring, and king James being kind to the fans.
    All of them are very cool people.

    the athletes wife had passed away before the competition and her last wish for him was to win a gold medal for her. He did just that, and you can see him holding up her photo it’s such an amazing moment ;)

      The guy is Matthias Steiner, a weightlifter originally from Austria. He failed some competitions as austrian competitor, moved to Germany to marry the woman from the foto. His wife died in a car crash in 2007.
      After that he won Olympic Gold in 2008 for Germany, the country of his wife.
