That's the truest form of fair sportsmanship. Helping others when they get hurt for example is also sportsmanship, but on the emotional, human side of it.
@@toiletwater7378 he was winning already tho
I mean if I’m going to win a trophy I want it to be because I really am the best not because my opponent had an equipment malfunction.
I remember one day years ago when I got out of school for the day, I decided to stop by this Chilean bakery because they had some *amazing* bread rolls. I went in there, and because I was taking Spanish in school, I decided to try and order in Spanish. It was a bit slow, to those fluent speakers it was probably akin to listening to a child trying to tell you what they want, but they were smiling the whole time and were really happy that I was trying. They gave me pointers on things, told me my accent was better than they expected, and it really left me with a lot of positive thoughts, and a new outlook on the learning of other languages. Kudos to that kid for putting in the effort, and respect to the player for standing up for him like that!
That kid that tried to speak another language.. I'm proud of you! It's already hard to learn another language. Others shouldn't laugh at the attempt and efforts to speak another language. Boy, at least you have language advantage than them. I already learn 3 languages at school while during my free time, I learn another 2-3 languages by myself. Keep going, don't mind those people who don't have nothing else to do.
Horrible advice those people this what you do learn

Yep. I had to pause the video a few times to dry my eyes 😢
Really.. I'm glad I'm not the only one..
Don’t cry so much you unstable excuses of humans
I've done archery for almost 7 years, and honestly I can say it is one of the most respectful sports I've seen. Every competition I go to, there is always so much generosity. Last year I was shooting for state when all the sudden my fiber optic in my sight got pulled out. I had fifteen minutes to come up with something or I was screwed. One of my opponents on her off round of shooting would try and help, eventually she called over her dad who had some stickers and we used a little black one to help. I placed third while she didn't place, and yet, she still congratulated me. I can tell you without a doubt, I wouldn't have placed if it wasn't for her and her dad. Yes we can be competitive, but in the end we understand how hard each other has worked, and we build them up as if we are one giant team. Even the pros are so respectful and caring when it comes to someone they're shooting against.
“We do this together, just enjoy this moment.” I love it
The archer who missed on purpose is definition of fair sportsmanship!
He didn’t miss, he just didn’t take the shot
Yes that one and the penalty kick one. Both stood out.
It was a very nice thing to do 😌
I love your pfp!
LOVE UR PFP!!!
I think my favorite one was the archer who didn't shoot, because his opponent couldn't. Very touching.
His coach looked annoyed lol
very honest of him
I liked that they hugged
pretty sure he did so because he had already won but still a nice thing to do
@@258DelTa He eventualy won, but the win was actualy not decided when that moment happened. There where still a full round left and both of them could win.
I love the Archery one. It's such an underrated sport and I love that. he knows that one accidentally miss would make the game unfair.
I liked the part with Zlatan and the boy. It's so easy for soccer/football players to make a kid's day. Just be nice for the two minutes, talk to them, give them a great memory. I think these little scenes show how decent a person really is.
I tottaly agree, but what some people don't understand is that famous people can't talk to everyone if so they would't stay famous and have no time for anything else because all that they could do is greet fans.
🇸🇪
Was in a swimming competition nothing major when I suddenly got the worst cramp in my upper left torso, I barely managed to keep my head above surface, girl next to my lane didn't hesitate, grabbed my arm took me to the edge for me to get out of water. 10+ years still remember you Ida! ❤️
awwww
So nice of them
That is true kindness ❤️🥺
@@sanityidontknowher5057 indeed 😊
That was so sweet!! Bad cramps in the water can be scary
The archer one who missed on purpose was truely respectful
Yessssss!!!!!!!! I agree completely! This short video made me cry!!! A wonderful video indeed!
Best one!
Some people play for the rush of competing and having a fair win I’m guessing this is one of those people
He didn’t miss he quit
As someone who's family is full of Olympic level archers and coaches, this was wonderful to watch. A miss like that can completely ruin your chances. That's a lot of points missing. So seeing other archer step off the line was amazing.
The one where the soccer player missed the penalty kick on purpose reminded me of something my soccer coach did once.
We were at a game and the entire game the referee kept calling calls in our favor even if they weren’t correct, and my coach got fed up with it, so on one of the penalty kicks he told the kicker to kick the ball over to the other team and let them score a goal
I'm not a big sports person but damn, stuff like this helps me understand why it's something so special for so many people
Omg I’m actually shocked they laugh at a KID he litterly sat there and tried to speak a language and they were laughing dude that broke my heart those ppl who were laughing at ridiculous like imagine being in front of millions of ppl trying to speak a forge in language and ppl laugh at you that’s just disrespectful
different cultures.. western world will always see it as them laughing at the kid, asian culture it's completely different.
@@sirmonkey1985 then explain why they chuckled? I don’t see it as any other way that they laughed at the child. It’s inappropriate and being ignorant doesn’t change that.
Fr I can't even speak French to the rest of my family in fear that they'll laugh- this kid is brave lol
And then people wonder why people don’t want to speak another language in front of them 💀
We're lucky Portuguese is still using the alphabet while him a Japanese is using a different one, it's like learning how to speak again
I hate how it's described as sportsmanship when it's basic human kindness and decency to care and worry for others in pain or distress.
It’s not basic, but it should be
Uh, well, it is in sports, so, you know...
Well um you see i might have not stopped before I would love to have won instead of stopping to help
The thing is that it is suppose to be basic but it isn't hence if someone shows it , he/she is special
it is sportsmanship. the one with his bow that doesnt work, the other didnt have to give this shot away. its a sport and you have to win if you can but sometimes these people are just like "it would be still fair if i do this and win. but i wanna give him the real chance and i wanna prove that i can win even with a chance like this"
(sry maybe bad english. not my first language :D)
It’s always so heartwarming. Just because they are your opponent, doesn’t mean you have to treat them like trash. Respect everyone!
This is why I love sports, it allows these people who are idolized by many to show how truly human they are and it’s always heartwarming
I don’t even know this people but I’m feeling proud of them.
Include cr7??

Same.
I think this commentator is confusing "sportsmanship" with "regular human empathy". When someone gets hit in the head with a ball, it's not sportsmanship to be concerned about them. It's a normal psychological reaction. Very human. Every one of us would react the same. What that archer did - forfeiting his shot because his opponent had technical difficulties - THAT's sportsmanship. He didn't have to do that and many others might have taken their advantage and run with it, but he was a true sportsman about it.
Yeah the biker one really was like "well I hope he apologized he could have killed him-"
Its really not. It should be, but most people dont do it. And no, most of us wouldnt.
Exactly
No it's not... Trust me, I've been a spectator at enough games to know how it goes. Most immediate reaction is usually intense defensiveness, trying to make sure it isn't a foul, stuff like that. To make yourself vulnerable enough to apologize in the middle of a game is pretty uncommon.
Yes
Learning a sport isn't just getting fit and winning. It's learning respect.
I literally am like very impressed of how much action of kindness they give.
"Everybody you fight is not your enemy and everybody that helps you is not your friend"

Army!!💜🥺
@@xiesie2096 you could fight with someone, but it doesn’t mean you’re enemies. Some people forgive each other and become the best of friends. And people that help you aren’t always your friends. Sometimes people help you so you can trust them and they use your trust against you. They could steal from you, betray you, or lie to you, and you wouldn’t believe it because they were always so “nice” to you but really it was all fake. Not all nice people are “good”. Not all negative people are “evil”.
christiano Ronaldo's personality is different, he's just different, that's why i love him
What’s funny about this is that in Europe people don’t see him the same way. He’s been criticized a lot for his personality. When you watch the games closely, read the press and watch the interviews, you kinda realize that it’s always all about him and he’s pretty arrogant and feeling superior. All of those moments probably makes him look really kind but it’s mainly for comm and show. Not saying he’s not genuine but you know that’s not reality and neither of us really know him

I've noticed so much, that in Rugby, one the most dangerous sports in the world, they seem so helpful at all times.
Thats because they want to make sure nothing happens
I was told the biggest rule in rugby is to care for one another someone gets hurt everyone checks my teachers a rugby coach he said one a guy tried fighting another player everyone on the field turned on him because you don’t do that in rugby ITS A GAME OF RESPECT
My rugby coach says that even though it’s made for thugs it’s always played by gentlemen

These videos remind me of my childhood.
I was the pitcher for my schools soft ball team.
One time the ball went straight into my knee, I had to wear a leg wrap for a few months

As an archer, the archer who stepped off the line due to the equipment error touched my heart - it was at one of my first competitions and one of my arrows was bent without me realising, and it came down to the last few arrows and of course, the bent arrow screwed everything up for me and I missed the national record score by a few points - but my team knew how hard I’d trained for it so although I couldn’t claim a new record, they made up an entirely new category just for that one competition and had altered an old medal and trophy in the equipment cupboard for the new category. I know that would never happen outside of my own team because they know me personally, but that will always be the nicest thing anybody’s ever done for me :)
oof
The footballer who purposely missed the penalty kick was the best one for me.
All these are gorgeous moments of humanity. Although for me personally, the time where a father gets down on the track to help his son finish a race as he is unable to do so on his own due to a serious injury will always be something extra special.

Most Sports people are SOOOO kind and respectful
Do you mean actors? Because a lot of these players are celebrities like Zlatan, Ronaldo and LeBron James
It depends. Some can be total arseholes. Here in Germany we have two mayor football championships (sorry, I refuse to call it "soccer"), one is the league championship and the other one is the DFB-trophy (basically to win the first you have to be in league one, but teams from league one to league four compete for the DFB-trophy, sometimes with very surprising results, but the winning team normally is from the first league too). In 2018 Bayern München lost the DFB trophy finals to Eintracht Frankfurt and normally it's common that the losing team congratulates the winners, which Bayern of course didn't. They claimend that the reason why they didn't was that they didn't know they were supposed to or even what to do after the finals. After winning 20 times before.
