Every time I find a home that isn’t all minimalist, all neutrals farmhouse and actually incorporates their own personal style and isn’t afraid to use color I have to thank them the homeowners for giving us something different. I love your home it actually looks happy

I’ve noticed that most people decorate based on trends… what everyone else is doing, instead of finding their own style. Perfect example: HGTV and everybody’s ‘must have’ granite countertops and open concept!
My home is full of only the stuff I like. They don’t match, but I know how to make them go together.
My motto is....We live in this world for such a small period of time, why not live it beautifully! She's doing it! 👊🏻🙌🏻👊🏻
This is the kind of home where if I were stuck inside for 10 straight months because of COVID, I'd never be bored. And yes, I watched it again. 😁

BRAVO 👏🏻 a young woman after my own heart. The quote she mentioned, that if you find something you love, buy it and you’ll make a place for it, is so true. That’s how I furnished my stone Bucks County farmhouse, all with beautiful vintage and antique items, either inherited or found at auction houses and estate sales. What’s so important is to be able to recount the stories behind each item. WHO the artists are, who the furniture maker were, where they were found. It shows intelligence and humanity vs hiring a “decorator” to “do” one’s home.

I love that she dumpster dives and has a “wing” of her own. I share her love of linens, lemons, and napkins. Her home is beautiful and I like that her belongings each have a story. My favorite part was her garden, you are killing it Christy!
I don’t have enough words to express my delight with this home tour and the homeowner, too. As I’m rather a “more is more” person, too, I found the interiors a feast for the eyes.

I think minimalists have their place in the design world as well. For them, less stimulation helps to calm their mind and keep the peace. For us maximalists, the vibrancy of colors and patterns and textures all blend together well and invigorate us in the best way. ☺️
My only real problem with this new trend of modern farm house minimalism is that if you see one you’ve seen them all. Very little personality.

I love it when a home's decor evolves over time. It simply means that almost every piece was chosen at a special place or time and brings its own joy. There is such a thrill in finding that special item that will fit perfectly in your space. Like ourselves our home is a work in progress.

As a Louisiana woman myself, I appreciate this Louisiana woman’s home. It’s inviting and invigorating and calm at the same time. I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like! And I loved her dress…just like the home soft and comfortable.

I’ve never seen anyone easily incorporate crabs into their decor. She really figured out how to be eclectic without it being overwhelming. It’s all tied together with a neutral white and it just clicks. We’ll done!

I have that exact same alligator planter! I saw him across the room at an antique store, and I knew he was coming home with me. I love him! I live in Louisiana, so I use him in a centerpiece during Mardi Gras.

We have to remember they are not telling you to decorate your home. They are sharing theirs because it makes them happy. So, do what makes you happy in your home and enjoy others if they do. Your house if you are lucky you get to go home to a place that makes you happy. I get inspiration that doesn’t mean I will do the same but it gives me freedom to explore

The side table and all the woodwork on it and all the beautiful weight was finished off with gorgeous you may not have been to school to be an interior designer but I think you’re doing a better job than a lot of them do because you’re home feels like a home and it has so much beauty and love in this home. Some of the designers forget that there’s so sterile and I don’t like them. I love your choices and you did a great job A+ for this home and all these projects you have put together and pull them to work in one space and look beautiful together

1. Plan towards it
2. Be frugal and minimal on spending (don't buy why you don't need )
3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k)
4. Build an emergency fund
5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.

Ok, the "lovebirds", figuratively speaking, yes--parakeets, they are very devoted to one another (I have 4, rescues; their cage door is always open, in my apartment...and 2 are a loving couple, always kissing and together).
