Now that I have figured out what story this video is telling, im even more obsessed! My interpretation: Guy becomes deeply infatuated with a woman, but it turns out she is not a regular woman. She is a woman/creature hybrid that wants his heart and soul...literally. So he literally sacrafices his heart (the scene of his actual heart in his hands) to be with her. He know she is no good for him and that she is the true definition of trouble and sacrifice, but he doesnt care..because there is "nothing left for him in his home". So he would rather be with a woman/reptile creature that stalks the swamps (or whatever you want to call her) instead of going home in where there is nothing for him there.
Reminds me of the mermaid sirens in Greek tales pulling men (Safe in this case) to their doom with their singing and beauty
