Thank God that you were safe. That is crazy dangerous. Wheels are the first point of contact between you and the road. And it failing means the whole concept of motorcycle fails. RE did intensive research and decided to give the 650’s an 18 inch rim setup. I can anyday compromise on tyres looking small but cannot compromise on the dynamics of a motorcycle. Stock pirelli and ceat are good if you’re a good rider. Cheers and stay safe people, from these Made in India brands that are clearly importing stuff from China and selling it here. And no company on Instagram manufactures aluminium rims, please get that straight.
Brother ceat tyres are no good for real and this 18 inch stock setup is bad at high speeds, ik suspension also plays a important part here...plus you're limited to tyre choices, its like RE did a collab with ceat and now it forces you to buy those tyres only because 18 inches mei zada tyres option available hi nahi hai...if you're a good rider as you said you are, you must know right 17" setup is a lot better than the 18" on properly cemented road
thanks for the video man. I read almost every forums where people say about the bad experience with the dismotech. So I decided to install meteor rear alloy and new gt front alloy (17 & 18 rim setup) and also by using 140/70-17 or 150/70-17 at rear keeps the bike at same height as before and use the all new vredestine 18inch front tire or metzeler roadtec 01 18 inch tire.
Kindly update on ur experience once conversion is done
I was actually checking on this rims for such a long time, every video I saw had negative feedback from the customers. Your video was the recent one I saw and the issue remains the same with poor sales service.
It is very risky for long rides brother. Dont risk your life.

yeah man like really I have been wanting these rims since more than a year now I also tried to purchase them once with a custom finish but the communication on their site is extremely poor and unethical, which is why I have been reluctant to invest anything in their product. Despite that I had only postpone the purchase decision, but after watching this video, no matter what, I’m not purchasing anything from them because I ride my motorcycle, I ride it far, I ride it fast and I don’t want any shit product from a shit company with a shitty reputation anywhere near my motorbike.

I think you were better off with hunter 350 stock alloys. At first even I wanted to go for Dismotech wheels but hearing some bad reviews about them dealing unprofessionally I have decided to go with hunter 350 stock alloys. All you have to do is make an attachment plate to install the stock disc and abs plate. I will do it once its time to change my tyres.

Why don’t you try meteor 350 rear alloy for rear tire and front Himalayan rear rim with stock hubs …?
The whole idea is to keep it retro yet modern so wanted to stick to spokes and not alloys. The alloy and spokes combination will look really bad but that’s my personal opinion.

why haven't you converted stock spoke rim to tubeless? I saw some videos people do convert their spoke rims to tubeless with some sealant kit.
My main goal was to increase the width of the rim so that I can install wider tyres and not tubeless

You shouldn't trust on these brands who are just at the experimental state. You should only trust if they test it properly without selling to end customers and follow all the strict quality checks. I appreciate that some Indian brand is taking courage to built these kind of stuff but if they aren't willing to refine their products to the quality standards then you shouldn't even consider these shitty brands and let them play with people's lives by selling their products which is still at the RnD state. It's good If they are addressing your issues willfully otherwise you should also address this issue to consumer court as this is a very serious concern for people's lives.
My whole motive of buying these products and testing them is to send the msg across my subscribers. But to my surprise even after watching the video people are still willing to buy these products.

Yes you compromise with the ground clearance so much so that if u see any big speed breaker its pretty sure u will scratch the bash plate

Bro, I too got the rims from them, and i had a huge concern once I got them to see that the lip where spokes rest was welded rather than being a single cast unit. I returned them back and they refunded the amount. I will not go into the much details though because I do not want to derate any manufacturer or seller who is into some sort of business.
I am back on stock rims since long. Stay safe. Good luck for your replacement

The stock rims are actually by a good brand and if sizing is the only problem go for a rear spokeless conversion swap with meteor rim ( but I would still suggest to stay on stock )

Why did you have to send the stock hubs to them? 🤔 When i asked dismotech they said that custom hubs will be provided with the tubeless rims as the stock hubs are not compatible with it..And also please upload a video again after they send the replacement

These are 17' rims. Not worth it at all. Better go with stock GT/Intercepter alloy.

Dismotec is a useless brand.. I have seen couple of other videos and every one has challenges .. you should’ve got OEM alloys from RE ..
those alloys are not wide enough for better tires

@@devendra1 lmao yeah they are not professional in what they own and do for sure, upsizing the width is worth it for better handling and tire options and also the rim diameter decreases which helps out in handling and its probably lighter than re alloys cuz its aluminium, definitely if you wanna go the budget route there is always ceat and mrfs but you also get budget levels of grip with that
@@devendra1 me personally i love taking corners in my R15m and im kinda scared with the GT doing the same because of the weight and 130 section tires, increasing the width is just better if you tend to take corners more often
