    HyperX Cloud Alpha:
    This is a great wired gaming headset that's comfortable and has some decent passive noise cancellation thanks to memory foam leatherette ear cushions. It has a lightweight design and a decent clamping force too, so it ticks a lot of boxes. With a dual-chamber setup and 50mm drivers this headset offers great sound and a decent value for money too.

    Would be good if you could also show us what sound tests you are going under, because it really depends what you are using them for. Furthermore, I can say that the Cloud Alpha has a very quiet and bad mic. You have to have it very close so people can hear you and turn it up to max volume. Though the sound of the Cloud Alpha is quite well for movies or music, the depth of sound effects in games is quite bad. The bass is just mixing the overhall sound too much so you cannot hear quiet details that much anymore.

    Epos h6 Pro closeback + epos GSX 300 sound card for $179.
    Unbeatable sound quality with superb imaging, layering, stacking, and texture. No other gaming headset out there right now beats EPOS H6 Pro (VZR model one is a damn close 2nd place).
    That hyper X is simply out gunned in every way possible.

    Hi, I have the Cloud 2 and Cloud Alpha S headsets and they both sound great, just can't find replacement earpads for the Alpha S, so looking at the H6Pro open back or the Philips Fidelio X2HR, but I heard that the H6Pro has a clamping issue on the lower jaw on large or medium heads. I have not owned an open back headphone set yet, is there really such a big drop in bass vs the Clouds? The Cloud Alpha S has a slider for the bass wich I open to relieve the pressure from the seal the earpads make on my ears and close to block out some more outside noise, would the H6Pro sound similar to that or let even more outside noise in? Need to know if I can get the same or similar bass on the open backs as the Clouds please. You have the first video I've seen to compare these two headsets, thank you for the information.

      Hi, just wondering which headset you think is better for fps games the cloud 2 or alpha?

    • @melwillseptember752
      @melwillseptember752 Před rokem +1

      @@user-mt2jn3oi4l The Cloud S has bass sliders for "enhanced bass" but it sounds very similar to the cloud 2, so if you like a very slight amount more bass in your games, the Alpha is there, but it also makes it sound like a semi open headset so if you are in a noisy environment, you will not be as isolated from it as with the cloud 2. And the Alpha has a removable cable and the cloud does not, so if you want to buy a longer cable to sit further or closer to the fight, the Alpha is your best bet.

    Great video. I have owned an older HyperX headset and admit it had fantastic sound and more than acceptable mic output. I found that after the first year of heavy use, the vinyl peeled away from both the earcups and the padding on the headband. They remained to be fairly comfortable with just the exposed foam padding but I felt that negatively affected my opinion of their quality. I recently purchased a Sennheiser 38X as a replacement with no regrets thus far.

      yeah i had the same issu with the peeling and the spare ear cups they give are cloth and dont seal around the head well so im looking for another headset with as good sound. the cloud aplha 2 which i have actually sound almost as rich as my dt770 pro headphones i use for producing.

      @@adrianlugo1130 I was just making a joke. 😁Sorry. I actually own the Alpha though but I've never tried the H6 pro. The alpha is good. I get warm after a while and get pretty fatigued overall over longer sessions. But yeah. They're good for the price. Happy I bought them like 3 years ago.
      I am in the market to try something more expensive though, hence why I roam around on vids like this atm. ☺️

      @@memorycard1000 yeah I know hahah no worries, I actually have the alpha too though for like 5 years maybe and they have been awesome some of the synthetic leather ripped off and I had to change the cups for another one that was better and they've been great but its time for an upgrade. I always wanted an open back headphones with bass and good soundstage enough clarity too but can't decide between the epos h6 pro and the seinheisser pc 38x even though they have the same driver they sound a lot different though

      @@adrianlugo1130 I have the Sennheiser hd 599. I like the clarity and open feeling but in singleplayer games I do miss the punch from the bass in the alphas. Yeah, I think I prefer closed back headphones for gaming.

    The price difference should reflect enough I bet. Both should be solid buys for a gaming headset anyway.

    Good comparison products video. But both gaming headsets only come with traditional 3.5mm trss connects to endpoint. It is a big setback in year 2022 product capabilities?!
