Wow ... this has to be mandatorily used by all constructions. Cause just delayed rains have forced us to get tankers. Though we made sure rain water harvesting techniques were implemented in new construction.

First of all... a good idea to conserve it like this.
But most of of people don't keeping a borewell or tank inside/outside their house except may be apartments.
So first we have to prepare a tank for this sole idea to conserve water & then only it can be implemented in only 3000.

Yes basically its just a plastic net filter ....
Use multiple layers of filter. Use Tank sand , micro stones charcoal for further filtration.

What problem did they solve. You don't need this filter for rain water harvesting. Just pipe the rain water to the borewell, that it. Don't need to spend 3000 for the filter.

Yes you can use it for drinking and cooking but you just need to boil the water or pass it through UV filter.

Filter is fine but the real problem is not that rainwater isn't usable. You need to have enough space to construct a place where rainwater can be stored.

Not possible, unless and untill each and every house do this. I am recharging my borewell from past 9 years, but no use. Each year my bore well dries in summer days. I am using self made water filter using jet jali, which is a fine mesh used to filter debries in submersible pumps. This inexpensive filter can be made under Rs.300/- using a 6 inch to 3 inch reducer with curved top where this jet jali is fitted.

Good. But doesn't rain water harvesting mean putting rain water into ground? This device is for putting water into water sump. Not many houses have sump. Water will be directed pumped to overhead tank either from borewell or from municipality pipeline. And amir khan is doing something in Maharashtra rural villages about rain water harvesting.
Rainwater harvesting earlier meant recharging in the ground but back then people had a lot of open space, so they could recharge it easily in the ground. But nowadays people don't have the space and time to make recharge wells. By using Neerain anyone can save rainwater and help nature as well as their own water problems.
