Ok, I absolutely love that arrangement!! This is a must for me next year, I already can’t wait! Thanks for the lesson…now off to shop for pots, ha! 🌸
Glad you like it
Hi Heidi 🌺 . This aqua pot looks amazing and I love how you arranged the plants in the pot . I do the same . Very beautiful flower arrangement . Have awonderful day .🌺🌻🌺
Thank you🌻
I would have to say some areas I am haphazard and others I definitely want the area to be symmetrical!! Great video
Thanks for watching.
Great idea to still plant some annuals in September and loved the demo!
Thanks for watching
Both. I’m a what makes me smile and feel good kind of girl. 😊
Thats fair😊
It would be great to to see a part two of this and how you actually check the water to see where the water level is at and how you know it's full when you first fill it. Sorry I am very new to this. I'm considering getting these but those are the two points of contention that I am worried I will fail at lol!
It is a bit hard to tell how full it is, but you can refill and if it is too ful it will spill over and run through the bottom of your pot.
@@gardencrossings ok... Got it... That is a way for me to tell! Thank you!
Use a wooden dowel to check depth of water in the reservoir.
Symmetrical!
Same!
Haphazard for me with😊
It can work sometimes😉lol
I'm usually very symmetrical.😊
I just cant do nonsymmetrical.
How do you store containers with aquapots? Is it best to use in a container you plant annuals that you stow away the container & aquapot in a protected after end of season if you don’t have a garage or shed and must leave container/aqua pot in freezing outdoors? It probably wouldn’t be best to grow a rose or any deep rooted plants with an aquapot correct since there will be about half the depth of potting mix available?
I would recommend using the Aquapots for annuals. Plants that you would remove after a season. In the winter we dump all the contents and store it in a garage or shed.
So how do you know if the reservoir is full or empty? Watering from the top, at least you know if the soil is dry or not, with this method there is no way to know if the roots are dry or not or if the reservoir is empty or half full or empty.
You refill it every 3-4 days. You will know if it is full by the over flow.
So can you use these aqua pots through the winter? I leave my pots out all winter here in the south.
In the south, yes you can leave them out. In the North I would recommend emptying them and bringing them in.
How often did you end up needing to refill? How does it compare to The Weekender as far as refilling times and the wicking with the soil of the Aquapots compared to the actual wicks in The Weekender hanging baskets?
The Aquapots can go a few days longer than the weekenders depending on what plants you use. This was planted in the fall so refilled every 7 days. I anticipate in the summer you woudl want to check around day 4.
Do they come in different sizes? What size pot is required. Checked site and said 4 pack. Little pricey. Will they come in a 2 pack? Thx I found the dimensions.
I think they will be sold individually in garden centers. To be honest we have not gotten too much info yet.
Hope y'all didn't experience any flooding in your neck of the woods, Heidi!!
No flooding by us. There was a tornado about 30 miles away. We really didnt get any rain. It jumped over us.
Do you have many in stock still
We hope to have them spring 2024. This was a sample i got to try
How can you tell needs more water or not?
If you add water and it drains through the drain hole you have enough. Generally you can go 5-7 days between watering depending on the heat and the plants used.
If my own plantar is taller, can I put soil on bottom then place the aqua pot insert on top then the rest of the soil ?
I guess you could try you just want to make sure the pot has drainage
I wonder if you can put “filler” in the bottom. I’ve seen people use empty water bottles, etc?
The pot looks useful but every video I watch with these things , everyone struggles with the top not staying on . The business owners may want to address that maybe with a decent snap fit or something .
Look Rod Heidi got her hands dirty😂
LOL. I do get my hands dirty, but I usually let him have all the fun 😂
I am cemetery person
