I just realized, that scene where Zuko acuses Iroh of being jealous of his brother, it parallels many characteristics of his and Azula’s relationship as siblings. Azula is cold, uncaring and manipulative (borderline sociopathic/ narcissistic), but she’s talented and near perfect (in combat for the most part), while Zuko was always ‘behind’ but in truth, while he could obsess over things and be angry, he still cared more about the common people than Azula did.

Buddy stories can be some of the most impactful stories of the modern age.
Iroh’s role is missing from the world today. I blame the writers that I strived to got closer to my grandfather.
I hope every guy here who is blessed enough to have kids or grandkids will offer wisdom and companionship to their successors. Through our struggles, we will redeem.

I can not express how much panic I felt when I couldn't find this video after it was taken down. I searched continuously for months trying to find it. i have honestly learned far more from iroh than many men in my life. may be sad to say, but truly he has helped me out bruh. the type of man who doesn't let his past define him. avatar was ahead of its time...and im sure that many people can relate but iroh is my biggest role model. honestly an amazing character with intense development.
