- Something's changed in Nicole. It kinda feels like she's determined to punish Mahmoud and get revenge. All the rage she's been bottling up for years is spilling out. "I can't hide it anymore" she tells her friends. Nicole is determined to "lay down the law" and push Mahmoud to his limits. But when Mahmoud's reaction is a lot more chill than she expected, Nicole can't handle it. She snaps. She feels humiliated in front of her friends. It's a bizarre dynamic. And all I know is this is a very unhealthy marriage...

That's the understatement of the year. Incompatibility is an afterthought at this point . The main issue at hand is extremely disrespectful and hateful Nicole is towards Mahmoud! Bro has been in the country for 2 days, hasn’t eaten or slept much and she expects him to completely change who he is. ‘I love him to the moon’ she says but does not hesitate to treat him so rudely in front of her friends. Never liked her. She was the only liar, yes his reactions were extreme at times, but that's the culture difference. She said she was going to convert to HIS religion, and his religion is very conservative, restrictive Muslim. He needs to go back to Egypt, and dissolve his marriage to her. She needs psychological help. She's almost a decade older than him, and I think the time in Egypt the not working out and getting him to the US was her manipulation all along. It was never going to work in Egypt, because she never wanted it to.

Well said! Nicole is almost a decade older than Mahmoud, and it really annoys me that people ignore how that keeps a level of imbalance and an even worse power structure. He was very clear about the way he wants his wife to dress and live by the Quran. It annoys me even more that people choose to forget that his family TOLD HER that he should not be pressuring her to do anything, but she is the one who decided to convert and shouldn’t bait and switch. Islam isn’t the problem, there are various degrees of dedication that people have to every religion. The problem is that Nicole was deceitful about wanting to be as conservative as he is. This woman acts like she couldn’t have hopped on CZcams and listen to the Quran for free prior to converting. The west is such an aggressively anti Arab and anti Muslim place and thats the reason she’s gotten to play the victim role for as long as she has.

I've never liked her. Even their first season. She said she didn't like living in Egypt before going and went anyways. She converted to his religion willingly converted but got annoyed about the expectations. Now he gets over there, and she acts like a psycho. Mahmoud isn't perfect, but she treats him like garbage and wants to be the victim all the time. Whatever her experience was in Egypt doesn't mean it's payback time. The mature thing to do would just break it off, not wait for him to move to the US so she can yell at him. I don't feel bad for her, and I'm sick of so many people defending her.

Me too sleep deprived and not much food i like when i first come to canada from Asia without family or friends.
When we came to LA from Finland it was 2 pm and middle of the night finnish time, so we got into a hotel room at 3 pm, took shower and fell asleep and slept till the next day 6 am. And she did not let the dude sleep. Awful. When we returned to Finland it was around 1 pm i did not even eat - just took shower and dropped dead. Finland and Egypt are in the same time zone
@@bambinaforever1402 I've done the Cairo-California route multiple times. I go to bed at 2pm and wake up in the middle of the night. It takes me a week to adjust. Dinner at a normal time after 2 days would be very difficult to handle.

I might have to rewatch videos from their previous seasons but the only bad thing he did was that aggressive grab when she tried to walk away. The rest was just them arguing about her clothes which to be fair he had a point since they lived in the more conservative side of Egypt. I don’t remember him threatening her to “ship” her back to the States or humiliating and insulting her. I think the only person he was somewhat rude to was that new friend Nicole made in Egypt.

Nicole shouldn’t use Mahmoud’s wrongs as an excuse for her own rude behavior. Being aggressive doesn’t get excused just because someone was unkind to you first. This approach makes her appear irrational and could potentially deter future suitors should she and Mahmoud part ways.
What "future suitors". She's 40+ and no man has ever wanted to make her his wife. There are NO potential suitors unless Ronald McDonald is looking for a wife
It seems like she didn't have many suitors before him. She was extremely anxious to jump into marriage. Even 'converting' to a religion she knew little, if anything about, to make the marriage even more palatable to him. 😮

I often imagine what she might be like when she's older, and with a personality like hers, it doesn't seem appealing.
Maybe she should give herself a chance to find a guy who truly appreciates her and her worldview, instead of looking overseas for someone with whom she has nothing in common.

Interesting how when she was in Egypt she expected Mahmoud to be patient and accepting, but he gets to America and it’s her way or the Highway. If she really cared about him adjusting she would have found a mosque nearby he would have felt comfortable in and that would have helped him find friends for support. He was tired, hungry, uncomfortable and fresh off of a fight with Nicole, this entire scenario was a set up for her to “prove” to her friends that he is the villain. I find this to be absolutely emotionally and mentally abusive. Shes not feeding him well. Making him stay up and do things he doesnt want to do. Pushing his religious boundaries. I (U.K.) have an Egyptian partner and I wouldn’t dare act like that to him - he is Christian (same as me), and in all fairness is nothing like Mahmoud but there is a loving and understanding between us of our different cultures and what makes us us. He is very caring and likewise with me, we always seek to understand one another’s culture born out of a curiosity and a genuinely loving connection. This is far from that and I really don’t think they should be together.
