Would highly recommend to put the changing table in the bathroom close to the sink. You will need water when changing him. Also, the diaper bin helps reduce the smell, but it will still smell. And it might be better for you to not have that in the bedroom. Also if one parent is sleeping, you don't want to wake that parent up with the changing. Trust me, your sleep will become very high priority!

We don't really have space for it in the bathroom now, so this will do! :-) A few friends told me to just have some water next to the changing table so we'll probably to that! :-) Xx

Maybe a little Portable Light next to your bedside (Not so bright) for breestfeeding him in the Night. I know it is not That cold in spain in Winter , but a heater above the changing table would be also better. Wish you all the best 💙

I would recommend if you are going to put anything hanging by the changing table that it be waterproof as you are undoubted going to deal with the odd occassion of your baby weeing when you take off their diaper. A good trick to avoid pee soaked walls is to lay the fresh diaper over them when your taking the soiled one off to catch any undue spray.

Hmm there is one thing you didn’t get. It’s an automatic bed swing (or so). I don’t know why, but friends who had babies praised this thing a lot. It swings the baby automatically at different speeds. Cool stuff.

I am amazed at how many 'items' new parents these days feel they 'need'. Simplify.
Just think babies have been on the planet a very long time and have survived quite well.
I was a single mom at 22 . I did not even have a car for myself. We were quite 'poor'. I used cloth diapers, never a pacifier or changing tables and all the rest. The wee ones have their little thumbs to suck if they need to 'self comfort'.I find the pacifier one of the lesser items ..it is okay for a baby to fuss and not have something put in his mouth to suck to keep quiet ..but that is just me..maybe.
You two are so full of love and anticipation and welcoming for this wee one of yours and it makes my heart swell to know this.

Just a note on the curtains. I know Jon says he does not sleep well,but I know for a fact that a darkened room is best for sleep even in the night time..and the same holds true for babies..a darkened room helps for sleep ..so, maybe consider 'black out' curtains for the bedroom for those daytime naps as well..
I think Jon will be shocked with how much the diaper will have to be changed in the beginning.(their poop is not so fragrant in the beginning., but when you introduce foods...look out :)..it will be a lot,but of course your sister knows so much ..that will be a help.

It's easier to have an isolation can with warm water, babysoap and a little bowl near the changing table. So you dont have to have the table in the bathroom. For me this tipp was a gamechanger.

Here is something that I "discovered". When the baby wakes up for a midnight feed.....make sure you have a pee first........because if you don't... the minute you start to breastfeed/ bottle feed....you will need to go for a pee !!! I know it sounds silly,, but trust me.... 😁❤🇨🇦
It's a nappy as your in Europe. The changing table and bin near water is a better idea. And that nappy bin will stink lid or not.

1:14 baby dipers doesn't smell (bad) untill you feed them other things than breastmilk. maybe outdoors in summer hot day but certainly not
indoors in a normal home.

You should consider Aerosleep mattresses - really good for the overall air circulation and the baby being able to breath through:-)

So organized all looks fab, my only advice is buy an organic baby mattress... the off gasing from the chemicals that come off mattress's is incredibly not healthy for baby! All the best x

A easy access for the carseat is a isofix. I have no idea how it’s other called then here in the Netherlands.
It’s a adapter that you put on the backseat. In new cars you have a build in thing. You get the isofix what fits on to your baby carseat.Attach to the thing in the car 🤦🏻♀️ and you good to go.
My explanation is maybe very confusing. Sorry for that.
Either way if you look for isofix baby car seat internet will help you out. Its a adapter. You put the carseat on. It blinks green and safely off you go.

Ville bara säga grattis och ni har en sådan rolig/underbar tid framför er! Min son är nu 3 månader och jag älskar att vara hemma och se hans utveckling dag för dag. Såg även vilken bärsjal du köpte och den funkade inte alls för mig, det är väldigt mycket tyg och den är varm. För mig funkade coracor MYCKET bättre 😊 hoppas den du köpt funkar bra för dig! Men gör det inte de, testa ett annat märke innan du ger upp hela idéen som jag var påväg att göra. Bästa uppfinningen bara man hittar en som passar för än själv 😄 GRATTIS igen!

Ett tips är å sätta en hylla ovanför skötbordet också :) Där kan ni ha krämer, febertermometer osv som barnet helst inte ska kunna komma åt när han blir större :)

If I had my time back I would have gone with a car seat rather than a capsule, my little boy grew out of it in 2.5 months and he never stayed asleep in it so I had to get him out of it between the car and pram anyway

You will need alot! And also a roomspray, to spray in the bucket for when you open the lid, trust me!!! You will understand 🤭😷
You need to have the skötbord close to water. Right next to the sink! Trust me on this. You also don’t want the smell from the bucket in your bedroom.
