- Make-up tutorial for women over 50, with one of the UK's leading make-up artists, Mary Greewell. In this five-part series, she shows how to lift the 50-plus face, starting here with tips and tricks for getting your foundation and concealer right.
Mary is the greatest! Love her - she is the best.
Sorry, but the camera didn't show anything that you were doing.
Mary seems to know what she is doing, but there are a few problems:
1. The model doesn't look like me! Why couldn't she demo on the nice lady who introduced her?
2. We never see the make up application - it's on the opposite side of the model's nose.
3. No questions were answered, i.e., what about wrinkles around the mouth, nose and crows feet (eyes)?
4. We don't get a before / after.

Very poor lighting on this video! I could hardly see.
So disappointed. The camera did not focus at all on the model. Not one face front view. Just terrible.
I wished the camera showed before and after..or even the whole face so that we can see how the makeup actually looks
Sounded great but couldn't see anything unfortunately. 😞
Love Mary but why , just why do makeup artists use such amazing looking women.........also agree ...what's the point when we can't see anything ! Haha .
Interesting to hear the discussion, but useless as far as a how-to video. Can't see much more than Mary and her assistant.
Well, I only can say. I must be watching a different video than all these people who are so unhappy with it !,Mary is so amazing and knowledgeable that I learn so much by listening and hanging on her every word!Mary you go into such detail about "skin itself" and how to work the moisturizer and concealer and foundation into the skinAs for the person that commented about none of the products used being listed ??It's a "Chanel Video" for goodness sake and every product used IS LISTED on my iPad !Mary thank you. You are beyond fascinating --- And I only wish you would come to Southern California so I might have the opportunity , No Wait ---The honour of meeting you !I have learned so much from you, Charlotte and Wayne Goss You Mary , are a true genius! Thank you ,thank you LYNN Rancho Mirage Ca
Why doesn't she ever do people that actually look 50 plus

Isn't this series old? Wasn't it already posted at Inthegloss or somewhere else? Anyhow, I could watch and listen to Mary Greenwell for hours, but I do agree with the others that this clip isn't very informative visually: we can't see much of anything.
I wish the camera was in front so we can see it applied. side view doesn't show
Regarding over 50 red heads with freckles. If there's not much redness, would you use foundation all over the face? Also, the camera angle did not show how the under eye concealer was applied.
Love Mary Greenwwell. This video does not show the model. As usual using a gorgeous ex-model who has very little age in her face, from what I can see of it. What is the foundation she used? So little information on this video.
So much to learn, no way to learn it. Watch how much highlighting concealer used? Can't see a thing.. This does not do Mary justice at all.
Mary is marvellous, but this video could not have been any worse if you had set out to make it terrible deliberatley. Shame.
lighting and angle issues preventing this from being helpful from the start to end...sorry just observations
This background music is amazing! Who is the artist? Onra?
Conrad Zimmerman i
couldnt see a thing. not even the final result
We cant see anything how she apply the foundation and concealer and also the products that she used. The point of this video is to teach and show us over 40's how to apply makeup and look good. If we cant see it what is the point.
Mary Greewell resembles Katie Hopkins, only better lol
Camera and lighting are horrible!
The truth is you cant hide wrinkles you just have to emphasise good features touche eclait is not a concealer it is a highlighter! Certainly never do a thing for a person older than 20 to conceal. The truth is skincare , moisturise, less is more and just draw the eye away from wrinkles you cant hide them.
She was a bit more above average than the normal woman to start with
very informative but all we see is Mary and sometimes part of the model;s face - quite useless really, need to see the process, face, how everything is applied , please take these comments on board!
Poor quality on this video. There was much more attention paid to the makeup artist than to the model. Most of the time, the artist spoke, but never showed the effects of which she was speaking.
As others have said, terrible video. I could hardly see the make-up. Pretty colours and soft lighting but just completely missed the point of the exercise. I won't bother with the others. Such a pity.
I echo everything said below. I learn by watching so learned nothing here :(
Ridiculous video, as they neglect to show what the makeup artist is doing. Rather a waste of time.
I agree with most comments below... what a shame. Nothing for us to see or learn from. Horrible videography.
Camera work on this is terrible!
This is a terrible video! You can't see what she she doing.
Why didnt we get a front view of the model? Frustrating. That is disrespecting your audience.
Dear Production team, If you aren't going to make a proper video and respect your viewers, then better to just stop making videos altogether. We can't see a thing from beginning to end. And do make-overs for women sixty plus too and deal with our REAL issues and dont just glide over what you are doing. DO something genuinely useful to older women. Address EACH problem we women of 60 plus face.
What a waste of time. Couldn't see the products going o.n
Terrible video never showed you how to apply only showed the make up artist
Love Mary, but this video is awful. Why would you not show the face that's being made up? And why have a tutorial for women over 50 using a model that looks 35 at the most?
I don't doubt Mary Greenwell's expertise but this is one of worst videos I've ever seen. We don't get to see the client's face! What we see is Mary speaking. I just need to hear Mary not see her - I need to see the product, how it's been applied and how it sits on the face. Waste of time.
