Fun fact(fascinating as well): there’s one Russian guy, whose name is Radio TAPOK. He makes covers of rock songs and sabaton as well. He made a song «Битва за Москву (Battle of Moscow)” in sabaton’s style approximately 9monts ago. Sabaton decided to make a cover on his song.... this is it....

I belong to the generation that remembers, knows, honors and glorifies that generation of brave warriors, thanks to which we have the honor to communicate and look at you and you at us. No prejudice. The USSR won the war with the loss of 27 million people. This is a fact, not a theory.
As for the track: Sabaton has an amazing charisma and property, when listening to their tracks in a foreign language you penetrate with patriotism to what they sing about. Despite the general Russophobia, many bloggers noted that they experienced a feeling of patriotism for Russia (USSR) in this video. And this is the merit of Sabaton. Also 36,000,000 people died fighting for the motherland. For example. 1.4 million died in the battle of Stalingrad alone. 420,000 (around) Americans died in the entire war.

due to this being a radio tapok cover its definitely going to be lacking the typical sabaton moments but even so...the first time i heard this i knew immediately that it's going to be a fecking amazing song to be played life. it just has that big show feel

Cool song. and there is no Sabaton hook as this is a cover of a Radio Tapok song. You do paint a vivid picture though

Probably more American tho, saves writing extra u's sometimes at least.

On the top of my head, i don't think that the Ghost Division was actually in combat in poland. Parts of it were though. After the attack on poland these troops were merged and reorganzied with some other to form the 7. Panzerdivision which will later became famous for the attack on france and their fast approach. And the French gave them the nickname Ghost Division

I can 100% guarantee you this is not based around the final countdown. Cause it’s not a sabaton original. It’s a cover by a Russian you tuber by the name of radio tapok. However it is written in English and performed firstly in English is by Sabaton.

  • @translaterinokripperino5824

Australians you say? "The Ballad of Bull" has that covered! The song is about Leslie Allen who served in WW2.
In fact he died 11th of May 1982, would be a nice tribute.

There are two songs for Australia one is called ‘the ballad of bull’ and the other one is ‘cliffs of Gallipoli’. ‘The ballad of Bull’ is a slower song about a man named Bull (his nickname) Allen and his saving of a dozen American soldiers in Indonesia, and the other one is about the Gallipoli campaign...I Don’t need to say anything about that. Those two are the only two songs that I know of being Australian myself that actually talk about an Australian hero or an Australian battle, so far.

Ild argue that this verbal "hook" hes referring to is in the lead up to the first and second choruses. So the lines, "Moscow shall not fall!" and "Russia shall prevail!"
