Charlie Berens, host of the Manitowoc Minute, heads to Green Bay to pay a visit to his long lost love, Lambeau Field, home of his beloved Packers. Charlie reminisces about all the good times they've had from tailgating with Miller Lite and Glazers from the Kwik Trip, to the touch of the bleachers against his cheeks.

We had seats in the bowl but she had some family that got club seats at the 50 yard line. When the team came out of the tunnel I started to have tears go down my checks it was just so magical. Till this day it is the best gift my wife ever gave me. Even though she will never let me forget that I never cried at our wedding or the birth of our two beautiful kids. He passed away a couple of weeks ago & his widow said that he constantly talked about going to Lambeau on the tour. My best Lambeau memory happened in 2006, an early Sunday morning in October. I was driving up 43 from Milwaukee to meet my friends for breakfast in Oostburg. Suddenly, a big buck jumped out of the ditch, I hit the brakes and swerved, but he crashed into the side of my car, antlers shattering the passenger side window. My car went into a spin across all the lanes, went down the ditch, and ended up in a field. I got out of the car, standing there, kind of shocked, but not injured. A van which had been behind me on the highway pulled over, the lady asked if I was okay, I said I was, but lots of broken glass in the car. The lady replied sympathetically, “Well, it’s just too bad it had to happen to ya on Packers Sunday.”
Indeed. But it could’ve been a lot worse. It was a lucky day. From that day on, I think of EVERY sunny, beautiful Sunday as Packers Sunday.
P.S. when the trooper was writing the accident report, I said I felt bad that I surely must have injured that deer. He replied, “No, no... that buck is fine. After he hit you, he ran across the median and hit another car over there in the southbound lanes. And then he ran off after that.”

My dad had gotten his hands on some tickets, so the day before family night, we drove to Green Bay. I remember seeing Lambeau for the first time, and I was astonished at the size of it, then we explored the area, which was amazing to see for me, never having been in an atmosphere like that. There was so much fun to be had, and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. The best part of that night was the fireworks that shot out of Lambeau Field at the end of family night. It was unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm 15 now, and I'm hoping to get that ball for my dad, who's a big fan of your content. Even if I don't get it, I appreciate you giving me the chance. Back in 2018 I sent a email to the packers and asked if they would send a hello or something to my twin sons that had joined the US Army after high school in 2017. Not expecting to receive any information they sent me 2 boxes full of items to send to them. Beyond that. They actually called me and invited us to come to a game. With tears in my eyes I told them we would be there. When we arrived they made us VIPs. We went under the field and they showed us around, we went onto the field during warm ups and seen all the players. Met a ton of great people and my sons were honored before the game on the 50 yard line. Yes the 50 yard line at Lambeau field. Did the nation anthem on the field the. We went our seats they provided and they were awesome. Right on the 50 yard line. The best part was all the Wisconsin people showing support for my sons. Thanking them and even buying their food. Was such a memorable experience to see how great Wisconsin Americans are. Especially with us being from Texas. We will always remember this day and always talk about it. I literally drove past Lambeau Field YESTERDAY, with these exact same thoughts and feelings. đŸ€”đŸ˜Ÿ. (Except I had no offerings to give to Vince and did not stage my own solitary - or multiple participant - tributory tailgate party. To know Charlie was there recently doing the same thing (only actually acting it out the fantasy we are all having 😁), makes me feel like ships in the night and if maybe I’d just been camping out there this whole time (the entire pandemic), I could’ve caught him making the inevitable solitary pilgrimage and this video. đŸ˜łđŸ˜«đŸ˜â€ïžđŸ’• But (at least) two people would’ve made it an actual tailgate party, thus undoing the point of this video, so maybe it was for the best. đŸ˜đŸ˜«đŸ˜

I miss the joy and excitement last January as the game clock was ticking down to zero and the Pack was finishing off the Seahawks to head to the NFC championship game and seeing snow starting to fall on Lambeau. High-fiving and hugging complete strangers and not wanting to leave the stadium even though We didn’t realize it at the time but this is the last game played here with a full capacity crowd. What a day, what a game, and what a feeling

Lambeau is the place everyone needs to watch a game in at least once in their life. It is an awesome experience, there is no other experience like it. The game is played outside like it is supposed to be and the fan atmosphere is like no other stadium.

We used to sneak a bag of Twizzlers into every game. Don’t know why, but my Grandma would always bring one and make one of the kids carry it, because we “looked less suspicious”. I haven’t had good ‘ol Twizzlers ever since 😔

I miss Lambeau because I was able to take my nephews there for the first time all the way from Alaska last year to watch them play against the Lions on MNF. We also made the trip in the memory of my brother who is the reason the three of us are even Packer fans. Looking forward to being able to make that trip again.

I miss rolling out the barrell. A tombstone pizza, a cold mke ipa, a hamms beer, screaming put him in a body bag, the wave, the intros, banging on the drum, the leaps, the Miller lite beer races, losing my voice for next few days, standing up on third down, walking out with a W. There is no better experience then going to lambeau case closed

I miss Lambeau as it was the one place I was around more than a couple other Packer fans in my life. I drove 2 days to get there and broke my wrist diving for a pass in the parking lot, thrown by a stranger in green and gold. The shot of the ball hitting the pavement triggered a strong flashback..
Glad to see someone else using hand warmers to keep donuts warm.

I miss Lambeau because I live outside of WI now and whenever I would watch Packer home games I felt like I was back home and reliving going to games. Getting dressed to go into the stadium like you're going hiking in Iceland. The passing around of the whiskey in the parking lot as added insulation. Everyone coming together, all the green, gold, camo and orange in the stands...and the brave ones who would don just their yellow and green body paint. Sigh. "Rollllll out the barrelllll...."

Lambeau Field, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to depth of Rodgers pass to Adams long,
Longing for the Roll Out The Barrel song
To see D ends meet for a QB sack,
And Arron Jones at running back.
Played in blazing sun or frigid night,
I miss the struggle; I miss the fight.
It makes my fall, it makes my week,
On aluminum bench packed cheek to cheek.
Tailgate parties with drink and food,
I miss the pregame festive mood.
A beer in one hand, the other a brat,
I miss the Lambeau parking lot.
St Vince and others dressed for fun
I miss the fans in row 21.
With victory at hand when fans all cheer,
It may not quite be heaven but you can see it from
    here.
How long shall we miss this wonderful feast?
Stay safe Wisconsin, keep er’ movin, let’s get back in the
    seats!

Oh cripes der guy, I watched this and was crying (I mean had allergies) right along with you'z! I miss all the Sunday (sometimes Monday) Packer parties with friends/family, high-fiving every TD, Sack, Int, etc... We all know it's just not the same w/o fans in the stands! A Lambeau Leap into empty seats is like having a Johnsonville with no beer to wash it down!
