Charlie Berens heads to the Wisconsin State Fair to showcase the 4 types of people you might see there. Charlie tries all the deep fried food on a stick as the Foodie, tries to act like a caring human as the Politician, goes over the safest rides as the Carny, and makes his move on Alice in Dairyland as the 4-H kid. - Komedie
That politician impression was frighteningly accurate.
And that 4H kid's parents have definitely been screwed over at least once by a politician supported tariff or tax hike.
@@kevinmencer3782 3:37 so they get him back by making the politician milk a bull
🤣🤣🤣 yup
Only inaccuracy was that he said he wanted to go back to Washington to ruin folks lives.
That mostly happens at the state level.
@@kevinmencer3782 thanks, 45, right? Tax hikes for us, but the billionaires didn't lose a dime, they even gained money!
As a retired 4-Her who used to show goats at the Minnesota state fair, the number of times I was asked what kind of dog my goat was while walking them around was absolutely insane
😳🤯
we walked our goats past the horse building and a lot of people said took at the pony!
I don't know about those people, but I always say that kind of thing as a joke. "What kind of dog is that?", pointing at an iguana. Of course I don't say it to the people WITH the animals because hearing that kind of thing all day will drive a person insane.
Please tell me that you knew the people were joking (please god in heaven tell me they all thought they were just joking!?!?)?
One of those people might've been me 😅
The politician is so spot on....I'm laughing and crying.
no you’re not
I'm from Iowa and can confirm the way he thinks likely isn't far off from the people we keep somehow electing.
Jodi Ernst couldn't even name the current prices of our main exports (corn and soy beans) when pressed despite being an elected Senator that should be frequently checking all that stuff to guide economic policy decisions
I'd be laughing too... if it wasn't so true.
Me too.
The sleeve- rolling is essential and a favourite prop for our Prime Minister. To instantly make a wealthy privileged person "one of the people."
The politician was totally inaccurate. They never forget to lie.
Nah, most political scandals are when they accidentally tell the truth.
@@johnylaw04 the scandals result from forgetting which lies they’re supposed to say to which person. But they never forget to lie.
👍😂
I dont think they're capable of telling the truth.
Until they develop dementia and are elected president
Pains me when I saw him throw away a perfectly good corn dog
even after he deep-throated it?
Pronto pup*
Don’t worry. The Carny saw it and gave it the old 600 second rule so it was good to eat
Dipping that green bean in Pepto made tear up. I miss my mom's cooking... 😞
Same XD
I’m just like.. I got one of those and it was 6 bucks! He just threw away like five dollars worth of food!
And how he ate the cream puff- without even splitting it in half- that hurts the soul
who trusted charlie with an actual, factual, live cow
Laughing...
I understand no cows were actually hurt during the filming of this comedy bit. Well, not hurt bad.
lol
See I have no doubt in my mind that Charlie was a 4-H kid. He’s just got the vibe
@@michigangarnet3804 except the fact that he was holding the halter wrong and would've gotten his fingers ripped of of the cow, I mean bull, had decided to take off. 😄
Politics may be Charlie's calling. He's got all the talking points down. 😂
Definitely.
Fooled me for sure :)
Friggin LOVE Charlie...and yeah, Washington DC & the entire USA could benefit from him...😍🤣😍
Nah, he's still got his soul. Now, if he would just donate that to Satan, he could definitely become a grade-a politician.
Nah, he's still got his soul... and not peddling his rear end to the highest bidder
As both the childhood 4H kid and the foodie, I wish I was properly able to express my Midwestern family’s deep and undying passion for the state fair 🤣
Same here. Was always my favorite time of year.
Best teeth on a carnie I've ever seen.
love the tats!
And he has all his fingers.
Used to want to be a carny, still do sometimes
🤣
🏆
America's contributions to the world of food: 1. Putting wine in a box, and 2. putting everything else on a stick.
Cranberry sauce
Annnnnd deep frying everything in between
We invented the popsicle.
Mac and cheese, fried chicken, whole bunch of cajun cuisine
Cheese burgers. Hotdogs. Chicken wings. Apple pie. Fortune cookies(yes fortune cookies are an American invention look it up). Cotton candy. The list goes on. America has done more for the world food scene then the entire European union combined...
Husband - Hey honey, who's the guy that works on tractors?
Wife - His name is John, dear
😊
That might not be what they say in the near future... JD is really turning off the farmers today.
It's disturbing how much a simple haircut and shirt change makes him look exactly like every young politician lol
I love the State Fair and I love that Charlie Berens went there. As a 4-H kid, he was spot on with the Alice in Dairy Land
What is a 4-H kid?
@@shutzemuller9332 so a 4-H is an organization that is compromised of kids trying to better the world and understand it. It is directed at farm, homeschool, and sometimes city kids to get involved in their communities. Recommend looking it up, but highly recommend being part of it. Super fun and cool experiences to be had. God Bless
@@calebconsidine986 thank you sir, I’ll certainly look it up, god bless
I agree and you're not alone. I as well have had an all too well relatable interaction with a gal at the fair.
Charlie thank you for stopping by the Firehouse for Country Fried Bacon and Krautland for Deep Fried Green Beans! We were glad to have you!
i would LOVE some deep fried green beans- wish we had them here...
@@fabricdragon
Deep fried green beans are surprisingly good!
Now that is the WI State Fair I remember. The video, however, missed the obligatory stroll through the animal barns and crop displays. Love it all
And the art/baking exhibitions from the local elementary, junior high, and high schools... it's the only air conditioned building in the fair.
For a second I really thought it was the kansas state fair, it looked very similar but some things looked off. Thanks for clearing that up for me
Instantly new it was when I saw the bleachers
@@Ah-wb5le that's not bleachers that's the grandstand for the Milwaukee Mile
I think I died a little inside when he threw out that corn dog.
Country Fried Bacon made my heart skip two or tree beats
Oh my goodness!! I am roaring!!
Just a thought of it shut my heart down for a minute.
The cure for heart palpitations is just keep going full circle with the Country Fried Bacon. It's like when beer cures a hangover.
Sorry for your loss. RIP
Also known as Atrial Fibrillation...
As a Southerner all my life that has never been to the Midwest, I HAVE to experience this. We don’t habit fairs close to this. I love Midwesterners. They/y’all remind me a lot of us
Minnesota State Fair is #1.....starts in a couple weeks....come on up!
Iowa state fair is it. Draws hundreds of thousands each year.
I used to travel with Murphy Bros. Wisc and Minnesota state fairs are the best. Wisc is very unique. The people are fun as hell and the city is very accommodating. I'd try that one next Aug.
As someone who has lived only in the South or the Midwest, I can assure you, they are very similar.
@@huskerfootball42 IA is on my list to try....Minnesota hit 2.1 million in 2019 in 12 days. Texas likes to say they are #1 because of attendance but it is 24 days and barely beats MN.
The bull taking a #2 more appropriate for the campaign video 😂 SPOT ON!! LOL
Ah that makes sense. I thought he said bowl.
Had me laughing!!! That was pretty good!!
My cousin was a Milky Way princess.(MN)
We ate her butter sculpture at her wedding buffet.
Did ya know an earlobe of butter Is enough for your potato and buns, but not enough for an ear of corn? Yea no, me neither. Oh, it was salted butter ya betcha.
😂😂😂
She is legendary......always wanted to meet a Princess Kay candidate!
@@lyleorr9832 At 41, that's the closest I've been to the State Fair.
I know a few ladies who have Princess Kay of the Milky Way. They melted down their butter sculptures for corn feeds.
@@queenofputrescence5167 Nice!
That awkward exchange with Alice was GOLD!
The Politician section makes even more sense when you remember that Wisconsin gave us Paul Ryan.
And Scott Walker. And Joseph McCarthy. 😬
For a beautiful state with some wonderful down-to-earth people, how TF did you guys produce those psychologically damaged morons?
The same way the beautiful state of California infects the rest of the country with its weirdos.
@@sethralavode9012 all the Conservatives are coming to Montana. Wish they’d keep em.
@@goodtroublemaker143 McCarthy was right though
When I was a kid I used to think the state fair was the greatest thing in existence, even better than Disneyland
“Copenhagen get over here” lmfao
I meant for that to be a real comment not a reply. Shoot
It still is!
As a Midwesterner the fact I still act like this is true perplexes my southwestern wife.
It is
I so agree.
God Lord I'm cryin over here. Texas here and my cousin has a daughter named Chevy! Bahabaha. This just proves the family was right when we said "please dont do that to your baby" hahahahahaha this is gold.
Growing up I knew two sisters named Camaro and Malibu
Growing up as a Midwestern city kid, the Indiana State Fair was something I never attended. Then I became a parent and my son joined 4H (for robotics, mind you), where County and State Fair attendance is pretty much mandatory. As a city 4H parent, you won't want to go but you absolutely will, and you won't want to step in shit either, but again, you absolutely will.
Your Paul Ryan impersonation is spot on. Remember the "photo op" of him washing dishes in the restaurant? He was washing dishes which were already clean.
@@Skinfaxi When you belong to a party which ignores science and has no problem trying to overthrow an election, your opinion really doesn't mean anything.
I totally remember that. He is such a putz. I think it was a soup kitchen though, wanted to look "relatable" and he totally bombed.
@@lohphat oh you mean like the Left who called Trump racist for saying it came from the lab... only it did and when the media couldn’t hide it any longer, they had to admit it.
Or maybe like Democrats who conveniently forgot that these masks everyone wears are not close to being able to filter out viruses... but I can’t expect someone who voted Democrat to actually know anything (nor take the effort to do a little, you know, research) but just regurgitate what the media says.
That Bill Clinton photo where he is on the Epstein island jet? Turns out, the sex slaves had already been fucked.
@Fremen We have term limits they're called "elections".
Term limits would be a disaster as then there would be no experienced legislators but there would be seasoned senior lobbyists and bureaucrats.
Do you also think 8 year term limits for pilots and surgeons are a good idea too?
Politics is a skill, I don't want amateurs wielding power.
I’m in tears! Left out show barn Dads. Kids call me “Show-Zilla”
So true about about the young dairy farmer approaching the beauty queen trying to wife her immediately slipping in the " i love you" from the gate.
As an old 4-H kid, I am so happy to see this! Good job on all people 😊
Oh my gosh... as a 4Her who showed at the state fair this year, that was perfect!!! 😂
The ending is a classic!!!
As a man who went to the Iowa state fair every year since he was a kid, I can confirm the the Fanny packs have never gone away
You forgot the frustrated single mom who is chasing her kids all over the place… Can’t even stop to enjoy a beer for more than five seconds
we single moms pack our own food and water to save money and long lines, save the purchased food for stuff that's ONLY at the fair and we can't drink because we'll be driving
@@recoveringsoul755 sounds like a sad life
@@recoveringsoul755 If only we didn't scare dad away huh?
@@ricksanchez538 I didnt' scare dad away. He was drinking 7 days a week. someone had to be sober. I just thought it was easier to say single mom than get into all of that. Beer is too expensive and it solves NO problem ever
@@jillkoerber5192 no I had fun with my kids. Just did it without drinking
" ... I can't let you within ten feet of her teats ..!! HOWLS ! And , gosh that would make a good rule for D.C.
The questions asked to the 4h guy, about the cow, are scarily accurate. 🤣
The politician bit was the best. Dare I say... relatable.
The 4H kid fuzzy face, yep, that was the oldest this year. The important day was showmanship, after that we called "close to clean" good enough. No lie on the asleep at midnight and up by 4am to repeat the process for over a week!
the dip in the pepto really got me :D
Definitely go to Spin City BEFORE the deep fried twinkies and 50¢ flavored milk. That’s a mistake you should only make ONCE.
reminds me of Illinois state fair. love all the foods on sticks, and lemon shake ups.
The state fairs ,,, are amazing !!! Glad to go this year 👍🙂🌝. Iowa,. Minnesota & Texas r largest fairs in USA ♥️
As someone who has been to this exact state fair about 30 times, I can confirm this is completely accurate
I love when he does a rich person or politican. It's so hilarious.
Right on Charlie! I met you at the fair. You were in your foodie outfit! You were super cool. On Wisconsin!
Deep fried oreos are Da bomb
^This^
I have dreams about those babies.
just tried those this year...yum
Why is no one talking about the last comment in the video, that killed me 😂
Mildly amused until the last ten seconds when I laughed out loud
I really missed Charlie Berens at the Wisconsin State Fair. I've been there like every day and didn't see him.
Great to see the fair back and to have such a great guy go there
Charlie is performing at the Wisconsin State Fair on August 10, 2022
Carnie calls after his kids, "Copenhagen...Chevy!!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a time we live where we can enjoy a comedic genius like this man!
Milk the Bull. Better for your campaign. LOL
God I miss the Wisconsin state fair. Howdy from Texas
Go to the minnesota state fair in a few weeks and make fun if it oh ya you betcha.
In this shitty, insane world that seems to be rapidly racing toward a physical or moral fireball, Charlie is one of the few things that keeps me going...💥😂💥😂🔥😂💥😂💥
You forgot the beer🍺 & roasted corn 🌽on the cob dipped in a giant vat of 🧈butter!
ha! Foodie/4H'er, then did it all over again with the kid. Gotta love our fairs.
In light of recent events, the politician is sadly relatable.
The politician. . . Saying out loud what everyone already knows! Good stuff!!
Thank you so much for making the politician so realistic!! I think that we can all agree on that!!
The Carnie had serious Reese Bobby vibes (From Talladega Nights!)
The best midwest content out there
Can we all stop a moment and appreciate Charlies costume changes!
This video has taught me that the midwest is just Mississippi with snow.
Makes the fair time even better because you know you only have 1.5 months until winter is here.
This was perfect.
"Nebraska State Fair...the only fair with the first name Nebraska." Seriously, that is the motto of our fair this year. DEEP man!
I heard some Ernest in that skit. Classic
“…while I eat this corndog funny”
*most adorable corndog bite ever*
“We have a bull over there goin’ number 2, that might be better for your campaign video.” 😂😂
The deep-fried green beans sound awesome.
Foot long corn dogs and fried Oreos for the win!!!! Definite foodie here
Now I want fair food!
Ahhhh when everything else on youtube is as sick as those kids on those rides, this really shines like the brightest bulb in the box 😂😂😂
I met my (ex) husband at the Missouri State Fair. 😂😂😂 This hit too close to home.
"we do have a bull over there, that might be better for your campaign video" AHAHAHAHA
That last line was savage😳😂
He's eating that cream puff wrong. You need to take it apart and divide the cream. Otherwise it ends up on you or the ground. I've eaten a few. Very funny video and accurate.
Last line is the clincher! Haha Loved it!
We do have a bull over there going number two, that might be better for your campaign video.
Honestly the one of the best parts of the video😆
This complete video was an all time great !
Absolute killer my guy, have a great rest of yer day and tell yer folks I says hi
The current Alice in Dairyland--Julia Nunes--is amazing. I engineer WORT's Friday 8 O'clock Buzz and she was a guest on last Friday's (8/13/21) show and her interview was great. 👍👍
Classic brother. Can always rely on you to add some good, clean, smart laughs to this currently ugly, dark world. Thank you 👍
Always remember my first corn dog at Illinois State fair. Fair. Food in a culinary class by itselfuch great. Eats
Lmao the pepto bismol one is soooo me 🤣🤣🤣 i always have one with me wherever I go 😂
Hilarious as always Charlie!
That ending is golden!
GOLDEN - like the color of the oil used for frying those fair foods
I didn’t know I was like that. I’ve been in 4-H for 7 years
I agree with everyone else politician bit spot on freaking hilarious 🤣
Great new characters! Would love to see them get spin-off videos!
Gosh darnit, I like you Charlie.
Absolutely loved this one! One of your best!
Bro the “Zipper” and the fact it’s in a town called Sheboygan, this is unbelievably spot on.
When i lived in Sheboygan County, the fair was in Plymouth. The State Fair is in West Allis near Milwaukee.
I watch British comedy panel shows and I think you would be perfect for those.
This made my cholesterol level spike. Sure wish I was near a fair so I could get some bacon on a stick, corn dog and deep fried twinkies. Politician was spot on.
We would love for you to come into town and stop by the firehouse!
We saw you filming! I’m surprised we are not in the background. I just thought you were doing a news promo. 😂 I heard the Multimillionaire comment and I was like wow okay dude 😂 good stuff !
Ouu we need more! We need the attendees!: The teens, the moms with strollers, the craft vendor!
I am moving to the Midwest now. Charlie is so funny. 😆
I love that man. He is too funny.😊
Oh, the 4H /politician interaction at the end. Brilliant 🤣
The last segment was my favorite...when #2 met #4 ...crossovers are the best ❤❤
