Starship 31 Electrical Fault Bursting Out! What Happened??? Flight 4 New Launch Date...
We're on the brink, everyone! Just one day after the major developments with B11 and S29, Elon Musk unveiled the launch timeline for Flight 4. So, when's the big moment?
Well, on May 11, SpaceX shared an image of Mega Bay's interior, showcasing the activity surrounding B11. Building on this excitement, Elon Musk himself shared an awe-inspiring snapshot.
Starship 31 Electrical Fault Bursting Out! What Happened??? Flight 4 New Launch Date... It captured the pivotal moment when B11 embarked on its journey from Mega Bay to the Launch Site. Over in Mega Bay 2, S29 stood ready, gearing up to follow its companion. And on our side, we have S30, freshly returned to High Bay after acing its static fire test, now bustling with further preparations. Pretty incredible, isn't it? Flight 4 and Flight 5, both captured in one mesmerizing picture.
Starship 31 Electrical Fault Bursting Out! What Happened??? Flight 4 New Launch Date...
But the spotlight shifted when John Kraus's account posed a question under Elon Musk's image, seeking details about the schedule, objectives, and profile of Flight 4. In response, Elon Musk simply stated, "Probably 3 to 5 weeks."

My first response about Starship returning and being caught by the "chopsticks" always is, "believe it when I see it." BUT- then I remember thinking the same about returning Falcon 9 boosters to land at the launch site-which is now an almost everyday occurrence. So, I wait for the day that this really occurs!
But you are looking at the wrong thing. The entire Falcon 9 was intended to be reusable, not just the booster, and it was meant to be rapidly reusable, so by that standard, the Falcon 9 has never achieved success. Starship is also a complete failure so far. None of the set goals have been met, even with years of delay. Getting a bit further than last time is not a great goal to set, where they were supposed to go to the moon last month, especially after Musk according to his own schedule already wanted to have sent several missions to Mars by now.
@@Baerchenization lol take your haterade someplace else within the context of the rocket industry falcon 9 is absolutely rapidly reusable there is no set timeframe for the term, its a relative term. And you people are hiliarious when you just discount any achievement because some promised achievement has not been met by the date you are clearly nihilist.
Why does it take 6 min. and 44 sec. of an 11 min. video to address the topic that is the front line header of this video and then only give it 15 sec. to discuss it? CLICKBAIT!!!
I hate that 🤦♂️
It's annoying for sure.
Because there’s now no story to create a whole video this is the second channel that talked about this topic for more than 10 minutes less than a minute of it was about the actual topic
Click bait as usually
Thanks!
Faults like this are exactly what SpaceX wants to find and the reason for the test campaign with prototypes.
6:38 was what you came for
You always keep me informed and excited about the progress! Thank you!
♥️♥️♥️
Well... I would recommend the 4th of July... I mean if it goes well.. we celebrate... if it blows up we experience a hell of a fireworks show.. and celebrate too😂😂
@5:00 Shouldn't starship start by avoiding tumbling end to end before we can properly assess the performance of the heat shield. The tiles should stay on too.
Thanks again Kevin for this great update. June 17th
Thanks for your support, but why do you select that day for launch?
…the heat shield wasn’t even the problem last time. The ship was tumbling. The heat shield was bare used as the ship came in tail first. Come on, dude. Report correctly.
Agree with this comment, But to be fair, we dont know if the control system or actuators were impacted by the heat and therefore stopped working
@@ryanlavender2411 The ship was rolling the whole time it flew after engine shut down...so something went wrong with the attitude control system that they've almost surely fixed for the next try.
yeah for sure. it was likely attitude control, not anything to do with the heat shield.
Thanks for heads up
What mishap is being investigated by FAA. I have not heard of a mishap, except from FAA.
The booster and starship exploding maybe?
June 16th for the launch...it's my birthday!!!
L
Also my Mom's birthday.
I hope you and your Mom will have the best birth day ever, and Starship launch will be the big gift that Elon Musk gave you 🎁
"virtual tower" means it will still land in the ocean, but it will act as if it were landing at a tower. That way they don't need to risk the expensive hardware of the tower for a test that might go wrong.
Thanks for your great contribution
I am guessing that they will use GPS to measure the accuracy of the booster's position and accelerometers to measure it's stability.
The info on Starship 31s electrical issue was fascinating, but Im a bit skeptical about some of the details. Still, cant wait to see what happens next!
Keep following our channel to know this
👍dešava se.bice bolje.❣🚀💯
Yeah 🚀🚀🚀
June 9th is my guess. Nice.
Wow, that means they have to complete FAA procedure soon
Forget gov't's. Let the space programs cooperate.
Yeah, the cooperation is important right now
Remind us, who is financing that space program?
This is a long road. Obviously, this is not easy. Ultimately, these vehicles will be manned. This should serve as a reminder to the people who minimize the risks and challenges. This is tough. There will be successes and failures even though here many can't even get to say the word.
The astronaut were in the shuttle when they died.,booster was part of the whole setup.
June 14th launch
Why do you think so?
Will SpaceX be able to go in and inspect the wiring.
The control of Starship during re-entry was a bust last time. I hope they get "more heating" this time too in a controlled way that is.
Yeah, we hope so
Good motioning
Have a good day!!!!
Go for July 4th it will launch really nice.
Why do you think so?
You bet for a successfull landing?
They can just make a giant inflatable wacky waving arms guy anchored offshore and use that as the virtual tower.
Might've been Dirt-Dobbers. 😳
In every way, IFT for an IFT5 are going to be awesome
Yeah, this may be the first time Super Heavy return Starbase
Least there wasn't an explosion and nobody hurt, thank goodness.
they get all people out of the area if it would have exploded no one woulda been hurt
👍👍👍
May 26th is the day I expect Flight 4 to launch. My birthday!
Wow, I hope you have the best birthday ever. If they truly launch on that day, don't forget following and discussing on our channel ☺️.
The video from NSF it appears to be a high voltage short causing the sparks and smoke and not a fire. But we can all make our own call on what we see happening in the video as SpaceX is unlikely to tell us what happened.
I'm wondering if SpaceX could make there heat shield larger maybe that could keep them coming off as easy. I don't have any idea how heavy the heat shield in the current size.
I think we need to wait upgrades from them
Larger means its expansion will have to be narrower
My birthday, June 13th.
Mine also.
Wow, if they truly launch on that day, I believe you all will have the best birth day ever. On that day, don't forget following and supporting our channel
Doesn't looks as some major failure. Could been an electrical issue.
Yeah👍
Looks like 2 launches per year for a while.
😂😂😂
👍👍👍❤❤❤🚀🚀🚀
🚀🚀🚀
The details seem a bit off. Ive come to expect more accuracy from Great SpaceX.
Thanks for your contribution 👍
Im going with June 12
Why do you think so?
Im cant wait for that water tower to fly =))
They will build it soon
Flight 4 sounds promising, though Im curious about the Starship 31 fault.
Yeah
They watched one video about Mr.Beast talking about how to write video titles and here we are.
☺️☺️☺️
Ill go with 420 too
♥️♥️♥️
JunJulAuguest 202??? Elon time.
I think the next launch will be June 9. 6/9. Pretty obvious.
Can you explain your prediction?
@@colonbina1 Elon loves certain clever numbers. Like 4/20. Anything with 42. Now based on his recent comments launch may be earlier: 5/28 or 5/29. 5/27 is a USA holiday.
June 8th, flight test four. Just a speculation I guess. 😊
Please explain your prediction 😂
No faa agreement to launch so far, looking more like August dispite the hype😎
I explained this in this video

To get past heating whatever is causing heat would have to be cooled down. Does Elon Musk not know how to cool down whatever heats up?
This will be answered in the upcoming flight
@@colonbina1 What if it is not answered, or correctly answered?

Obviously, they would make changes and try again.

Why do you think so?
Friday June 14?
There are 2 interesting possibilities for Starship Flight 4 launch:
1. Will happen on 6/9
2. Will happen 420 days after 4/20 (June 13)
Lunch on 06/20/24
What is the menu?

@@colonbina1 haha had a dream of me watching the launch on my birthday.....perfect launch😎🤭🤭
???? half way into the video and nothing new, just old rehashed news found on multiple other channels a few days or weeks or months ago.
Just glad it didn’t completely blow up 🤦♂️
So nothing has really changed regarding authorization to launch. We are still waiting on the FAA approval as an individual mission. So much for block approvals. Just can't take the brakes off when it comes to the control freaks at the FAA. Next time don't lie to me when you say you're going to do something.
THE 12
Let's wait for their next updates
🆙 🚀
🚀🚀🚀
Except he didn't answer how SpaceX will deal with radiations on the way to Mars.
Unil that's resolved no one is going anywhere past the Moon.
The Moon is almost equally as bad, other than the missions are shorter duration.SpaceX/Musk seems to obviously just ignore issues like this and many others.
When you get right down to it, Starship is a poorly conceived money pit that just looks worse every day, Musk's obsession with reusability has driven a lot of very stupid decisions that just make next steps so much more complicated, and arguably, more expensive.
Part of the problem is that the economic advantage of reusability, only kicks in with a large volume of launches. It was one think to build a reusable Falcon 9 for satellite launches which has a pretty high commercial demand. But even then, it wouldn't look as economically viable without almost 2/3rds of its launches being for the Starlink system. And each of those becomes an investment cost that looks unlikely to result in a profitable venture. But Falcon 9 is a model rocket when compared to Starship! Who will fly all the Starship missions needed to achieve economic viability?? How many failed test flights will it take?? A failed Starship launch costs a lot more money than a failed Falcon 9. The infrastructure costs for Starhip are orders of magnitude higher than Falcon 9!
A "smart reusability" approach, makes much more sense. based on the more conventional approaches to spaceflight. Even without any real reusability yet, SLS and Vulcan, are actually more capable and proven systems. Eventually, these systems will achieve some reusability where it is viable to do sso.
Time to seriously beef up security and double up on background checks. Especially new hires in the last year.
I say june 6th or june 9th ! 69
Meaningful days, but let's wait for their next updates

Wow, so early, but I love this😂
This video seemed rushed and full of holes. The Starship 31 issue especially didnt seem well-explained.
Oh 420... I love weed too...
❤️❤️❤️❤️
" If you know, you know" ..such a pointless thing to say when addressing an audience. They are people that genuinely dont know.🤬
O no space x is doomed.
Way too much talking without content, expect much better in the future. Right?
👍👍👍
It would be a milestone if flight 4 could just NOT RUN OUT OF FUEL, LOSE ALL DIRECTIONAL CONTROL and TUMBLE BACK TO EARTH like a piece of space debris, like flight 3 did (interesting way to spend another $2m US TAX PAYER DOLLAR$)
1: The USA spends more than that every time the President steps outside the White House just in Secret Service overheads
In any case the launch costs are underwritten by SpaceX, not the US government
2: What part of "destructive iterative testing" isn't sinking in? The established NASA model usually ends up costing so much the program would end up abandoned long before the first launch (This has happened repeatedly).
So far all three launches have exceeded expectations and surpassed primary goals. I'd love for you to show returned/refurbished parts of a Delta or Atlas, instead of multibillion dollars worth of space debris sitting on the ocean floor downrange of Canaveral
@@miscbits6399Not sure what the "Secret Service overheads" has to do with Starship cost, guess you wanted to try some deflection, and then changed your mind, Anyway
Interesting that you say Space X is funding Starship, so I assume the $1,8 BILLION Space X already received for Starship from US Gov (NASA), Musk is keeping those funds in his piggy bank under his bed, and is not using any of those funds for these launch tests, so it does not count, right
" exceeded expectations and surpassed primary goals" you joking right
I'd love for you to show me the returned/refurbished parts of the Starship, I must have missed that part of the live feed, because it looked like it's space debris is also sitting on the ocean floor downrange of boca chica.
Clickbait bullshit. I'm done.
clickbait crap..outa here....
Even if they get one "successful" flight with this "bomb" I cannot foresee any human is going to board this death trap.
Falcon 9 was a deathtrap in the beginning, now it's the most reliable rocket ever made
come on man it's not made by politically correct Boeing. in fact they sued him because he didn't hire enough foreigners
Wonder if this guy is an Elon Hater?? Probably a short seller
Elon is a joke, how's tesla stock doing? How's that cyber truck? How's the hyperloop, how's the self driving taxi? How's that roadster doing? All which were promised years ago. Vapor ware is what he sells, and people buy his bull... His robot is a great achievement too huh?
@@pgendron8491just watch and learn, will see you in a couple of years regretting what you said about starship
Elon had better start getting these birds off the ground. I am really beginning to have dougts.
More Musk predictions … years of them … the guy is just another grifter.
