    Starship 31 Electrical Fault Bursting Out! What Happened??? Flight 4 New Launch Date...
    We're on the brink, everyone! Just one day after the major developments with B11 and S29, Elon Musk unveiled the launch timeline for Flight 4. So, when's the big moment?
    Well, on May 11, SpaceX shared an image of Mega Bay's interior, showcasing the activity surrounding B11. Building on this excitement, Elon Musk himself shared an awe-inspiring snapshot.
    Starship 31 Electrical Fault Bursting Out! What Happened??? Flight 4 New Launch Date... It captured the pivotal moment when B11 embarked on its journey from Mega Bay to the Launch Site. Over in Mega Bay 2, S29 stood ready, gearing up to follow its companion. And on our side, we have S30, freshly returned to High Bay after acing its static fire test, now bustling with further preparations. Pretty incredible, isn't it? Flight 4 and Flight 5, both captured in one mesmerizing picture.
    Starship 31 Electrical Fault Bursting Out! What Happened??? Flight 4 New Launch Date...
    But the spotlight shifted when John Kraus's account posed a question under Elon Musk's image, seeking details about the schedule, objectives, and profile of Flight 4. In response, Elon Musk simply stated, "Probably 3 to 5 weeks."

    My first response about Starship returning and being caught by the "chopsticks" always is, "believe it when I see it." BUT- then I remember thinking the same about returning Falcon 9 boosters to land at the launch site-which is now an almost everyday occurrence. So, I wait for the day that this really occurs!

    • @Baerchenization
      @Baerchenization Před měsícem

      But you are looking at the wrong thing. The entire Falcon 9 was intended to be reusable, not just the booster, and it was meant to be rapidly reusable, so by that standard, the Falcon 9 has never achieved success. Starship is also a complete failure so far. None of the set goals have been met, even with years of delay. Getting a bit further than last time is not a great goal to set, where they were supposed to go to the moon last month, especially after Musk according to his own schedule already wanted to have sent several missions to Mars by now.

    • @zachmoyer1849
      @zachmoyer1849 Před měsícem

      @@Baerchenization lol take your haterade someplace else within the context of the rocket industry falcon 9 is absolutely rapidly reusable there is no set timeframe for the term, its a relative term. And you people are hiliarious when you just discount any achievement because some promised achievement has not been met by the date you are clearly nihilist.

    • @professorg8383
      @professorg8383 Před měsícem +1

      The Moon is almost equally as bad, other than the missions are shorter duration.SpaceX/Musk seems to obviously just ignore issues like this and many others.
      When you get right down to it, Starship is a poorly conceived money pit that just looks worse every day, Musk's obsession with reusability has driven a lot of very stupid decisions that just make next steps so much more complicated, and arguably, more expensive.
      Part of the problem is that the economic advantage of reusability, only kicks in with a large volume of launches. It was one think to build a reusable Falcon 9 for satellite launches which has a pretty high commercial demand. But even then, it wouldn't look as economically viable without almost 2/3rds of its launches being for the Starlink system. And each of those becomes an investment cost that looks unlikely to result in a profitable venture. But Falcon 9 is a model rocket when compared to Starship! Who will fly all the Starship missions needed to achieve economic viability?? How many failed test flights will it take?? A failed Starship launch costs a lot more money than a failed Falcon 9. The infrastructure costs for Starhip are orders of magnitude higher than Falcon 9!
      A "smart reusability" approach, makes much more sense. based on the more conventional approaches to spaceflight. Even without any real reusability yet, SLS and Vulcan, are actually more capable and proven systems. Eventually, these systems will achieve some reusability where it is viable to do sso.

      2: What part of "destructive iterative testing" isn't sinking in? The established NASA model usually ends up costing so much the program would end up abandoned long before the first launch (This has happened repeatedly).
      So far all three launches have exceeded expectations and surpassed primary goals. I'd love for you to show returned/refurbished parts of a Delta or Atlas, instead of multibillion dollars worth of space debris sitting on the ocean floor downrange of Canaveral

      Interesting that you say Space X is funding Starship, so I assume the $1,8 BILLION Space X already received for Starship from US Gov (NASA), Musk is keeping those funds in his piggy bank under his bed, and is not using any of those funds for these launch tests, so it does not count, right
      " exceeded expectations and surpassed primary goals" you joking right
      I'd love for you to show me the returned/refurbished parts of the Starship, I must have missed that part of the live feed, because it looked like it's space debris is also sitting on the ocean floor downrange of boca chica.
