Just watched for about the fourth time! Great video, very helpful. I might add that I ordered directly from BAL (with the part number you have listed for the 3/4") through their website and their cost was $21.00 each plus shipping and I received them in 2 days via standard UPS ground shipping. This is as of Oct 2, 2023.
I recently added these rollers to my 2016 33' travel trailer. It is an ultra-light model, and the Accu-Slide system really wasn't up to the size and weight of our dining room/couch slide out. Over time the system began to move worse and worse, and no amount of cable adjustments and lubrication helped. I elected to add three rollers to my slide-out. The install went just about as easily as shown in the video, and the slide-out moves MUCH better now. Thanks for the helpful advice!
I have a 2015 Carbon 327 and I have the same issues. I was seriously bummed about it until I saw this video. I ordered the rollers, washers and fasteners like you suggested and just finished installing them. It works just like new again, I want to thank you very much for posting this video and helping others like myself who have this problem as well.
Hey Man this is the perfect video for me I have a 2017 Carbon 347 the only difference is garage is 6” Longer I started having issues with my fridge slide going slower and sounding stressed when moving Im going to order these TODAY !! Thankyou
I did this to my 12 foot kitchen slide. The rollers I bought lifted my slide probably a 1/4 higher then it originally was. It lets in cold air but it sure works better now. I did add another rubber seal piece over the roller area but it still lets in air when its cold. I live in Texas so its not really much of an issue. I did mine probably close to two years ago now and we use are RV a lot so its held up well and no major wear under where the rollers roll on the bottom as of yet. Its a must do if you don't have rollers and only a wear bar.
A couple questions... how high did you jack the slide? How do I know how high to mount the rollers to avoid them applying too much pressure to the bottom of the slide?
I have a 2019 Keystone Cougar and the wear bar measured from the floor to the top of the wear bar is about an eighth of an inch short of 3/4 inches. I assume I have a 3/4 wear bar because it is way higher than 1/2 inch as measured from the floor. Was your measurement to determine wear bar size similar?
@@CollaGoUnLTD Thank you, but I meant "how did you seal the gap between the slideout and the camper frame. That is, in order to install the rollers you had to cut out a section of the wearbar and wiper seal. I'm wondering if you RE-SEALED those places where you cut out the original seal.
The slide should technically it be rubbing on your floor directly. It should be normally sitting/sliding on the wear bar. The rollers help to get it up off the wear bar, reducing friction helping the slide to move more easily.
Make shure you tell people to note that the roller has a section that sets on the floor twards the slide bar. Also it is hard to see the thickness 1/2 or 3/4 I got the 1/2 by mistake I couldn't get into the area and the tape looked like 1/2 but it was 3/4 so I had to order the 3/4. I have 6 -1/2 rollers cheep not used but they wouldn't take them back.
Hi, thanks for making this video, extremely helpful. I have all the parts and am hoping to do the rollers on our Bullet. I got under ours and was looking around where the rollers screw into and it’s not like I thought at all. I figured it would be screwing through steel but now I think I realize that you use a more aggressive screws like tapcons because it’s not going into any metal. Is that correct? Thanks!
You are correct the material that you screw into is pretty light and a mix of sheet metal and wood it seemed. The more aggressive screws grabbed a lot better and have held great.
Great video and very helpful. I measured my wear bar at 3/4 inch and received the exact same roller type as shown in your video. These are fantastic, solid and well-made units. Question : did you have to saw out a section of the wear bar to make the short flat part of the L-Shaped bracket sit snugly or was there enough room. Some videos, show owners using a different type of roller and they have to saw out a section of the wear bar/dust seal etc. Because these rollers extend out from the side wall perhaps it doesn't need such surgery to the weather strip/wear bar?Tthanks for any help you can give.
Was your slide jumping and skipping when going in or out? Just trying to figure out if that is the gear box causing that or if the slide surface is just dirty. Awsome video thank you
Most likely it is your gearbox going out causing the jumping and will probably need replaced regardless of roller install at this point, however the rollers being installed will definitely help to prevent another gearbox failure.
Mine definitely went into metal which is why had to predrill the holes. I think every camper will probably be a little different material wise on what will be screwed into.
Hi. thanks for posting all of this!!!! Question, are there instructions? I am wondering, once the slide is jacked up, how do you know where to mount the roller (how far up and down), to have it be just a hair taller than the wear bar, but not too high. Also, to have it high enough, so that when the weight of the slide is back on the rollers, its still above the wear bars. Thanks!!
Hey Les, the roller is on an upside down L bracket so as long as you measure the proper height wear bar, and buy the corresponding roller and bracket, when you mount the roller it will stick up above the wear bar just a little bit. There is no having to measure up or down as to the height of where it has to mount. As far as spacing on the slide, you want them around 5-10” from the ends of the slide and then spaced evenly in the middle of the slide. Hope this helps!
@@CollaGoUnLTD thank you for the quick reply. So there is a mark on the bracket somewhere so that there is only one place to mount it (up and down)? My local Keystone dealers are a pain. I can't get them to find anything. Norco-Bal finally gave me a number of a dealer. They are calling and getting me prices.
Was planning on doing this for Montana High Country 313RE but have been told that it is aluminium/aluminum used under slides and main frame. How would putting rollers on work there, without steel? Would aluminum bear the weight/screws/bolts etc. We do have supports under slides when they are pushed out. Any help please?
Did your slide bounce up and down a lot going in and or out before you installed the rollers. I have a 2018 coleman lantern. I had to have a section of floor replaced due to a leak and it still jumps up and down when opening or closing?
Can you provide a update? How has this been working out for you long term? Also, has those rollers wore into the bottom floor outter material where they ride?
This video is about a year old. So it doesn’t surprise me that they’ve gone up in price as basically the whole retail market has shot through the roof at this point. I updated my video description link to them with the correct pricing. Thanks for noticing that though!
The irony... “the rollers are available from Keystone”... what would it have taken to use them to begin with

Correct, it’s not an exact measurement it’s just close to either of the two.
I'd also like to know how SEALED your repair. Seems like it might be hard to do, but very necessary.
I used gasketed washers to seal the screws however you could easily use dicor non leveling lap sealant to seal it all even more.

How much did you jack the slide up? Is it just for more room to work or are you lifting the slide off the wear bar?
Thanks!
I just jacked it up maybe 1-2” just enough to give me room to install the rollers easily.
@@CollaGoUnLTD Right, but did you mount the roller top any higher than the OEM wear strip, or same height?
Thank you, awesome video!
The roller should naturally sit just a hair higher than the factory wear bar. I did not raise it up above it any additional height.
@@CollaGoUnLTD Thank you for the information! That makes good sense too, as going too high would mess with the factory specs.

I have both a 6 foot and a 8 foot slides should I use 2 on the 6 foot and 3 on the 8 foot? Or just do 3 rollers on each slide? Thanks and great video
I would personally do 3 rollers on the 6’ slide and 4 on the 8’ slide.

When the slide is all the way out does the slide level up and take the weight off the rollers?
To decide which roller, do you measure the depth of the wear bar or the gap between the slide and the wear bar?
Measure the actual depth of the wear bar

These have been working out great still! No wear on the bottom fabric material. Super happy I installed them.
Will the slide seal right when closed??
Yep seals up just like normal
Hi there I was wondering how are these working out for you still? Did it mess up the liner on the bottom of the slide out?
They’re still going strong!! Haven’t worn out anymore gearboxes, and the Darco Fabric on the underside of the slide is still in perfect condition!
Is floor dropping down level & climbing back up ok ? Mine is snagging coming up from being out & level . Tired of replacing gear boxes
How far are you actually raising the slide over the slide bar. Thanks
Not sure the exact height after rollers are installed but it’s pretty minimal, just enough to get the slide up off the bar.
did you drill the holes out for the roller? mine are smaller and wont fit the screws you have listed.
How are the rollers and slide doing after 3 years?
I sold it just over a year ago to a friend, but the rollers are still working flawless for him!
If you can not find the 1/2 inch do you think the 3/4 could work I have a 31 ft Laredo with two 12 foot slides
Also where did you get your rollers from
You’ll definitely want to measure the slide bar height to get the correct size since they are specific to that.
How long did it take you to complete the job??
What size pilot bit did you use?
