I'm chasing down a turn signal fuse-blowing issue and considering checking the column as a last resort check. I knew I could count on you for the right video I needed! Thanks again!

By far the most useful video I’ve seen. Now I know why I have to manually turn off my turn signal…the cam is missing in mine. I also know because my turn signal assembly was also broken. Part ordered! 👍🏻

Some dip-Sh tried to steal my '71 Chevelle and totally smashed the ignition key lock to heck, and even broke off the big "cap" the key goes in. I ordered the part from Rock Auto for Approx $ 25 and followed Chris's Video to the letter taking a picture after each piece I took off. It took a while to do but Chris, your video was a godsend. I am not very mechanically inclined but I did it with your help. You are awesome !!!!!! Had to make a tool by hammering a coat hanger end down to get Mr. bouncy tab out as I couldn't get a screw driver in either. I do not know if you see comments like this, but if you do - THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!!!!!
Don (Calgary, Alberta, Canada). PS - I should have mentioned the steering wheel had A "CLUB" on it - they could not have driven it anyway ?????? and they must have spent at least a half an hour doing the damage they did ???????????

Find the sweet spot for the cylinder to release I've measured the new switch with the old one. Wow🤦 come to find out the knock out is covering the plunger .

Chris on the teardown when you remove the signal light assembly the video shows a copper flat contact of some kind.(@14:21 minutes in) I assume this piece is needed for the horn. Do you know what it might be called and if it is available anywhere? Great video...

I have a tilt, but looks all basically the same as in your video. I’m assuming mine is going to have a joint in the shaft, and a spring with the extra lever, but basically the same disassembly? We will see. 👍🏻
