    As an American, my mom seems to enjoy yelling and calling me dumb and reterded and asking what is wrong with me. She also, though unintentionally, makes me actively fear her. She doesnt know it, but she terrifies me. She never hit me, but I always feel like she will. She also always seems to enjoy telling dad, who reacts about the same.

    Actually they do most or i mean all of these punishments like when you score bad in exams the punishments they do are
    Slaping,flogging,flying slipper,spanking,tight(hiting above the knee with a belt or stick),no video games,extra chores,extra study,slaping,hitting with cane any where in the body,same thing with belt
    That all happens when you fail exams😭😭😭😭😭

    As a filipino, i can confirm that when u have a 75% grades they will beat you with slippers, broom, and belts (100% range if the metal on the belt will hit you), etc and if you dont do youre homework they will do this to you. And homework in the house, cooking a rice, cooking, cleaning the house, washing dishes, etc. And if you're father beat you say goodbye.

    In Mexico the punishment is not isolation. They either take away our games, or they whoop us with the belt, spank us with the sandal, and my friend told me he gets hit with a bamboo stick

      Mine insulted me, reminded me of things that changed my life that I regret, forced me to study until 2AM and I have issues using my Person best Version and have a hard time focusing most of the time. She also slapped me, sometimes used heavy Books, threw Slippers, send me to school with a blue eye and forced me to lie to the school, chased me out in the Winter at Night with just a t-shirt, compared to others, said I’d fail Exams and would have to Work and that if I fail she won’t care what I do with my life, turns everyone against me, said I can kill me myself once I’m 18 only so that she won’t take Responsibility and when I failed, which due to the trauma of her choices she’d blame it on me for “being a failure”, would have me go out without food, blamed me when I cut myself and broke my Knuckles instead of Supporting me, because it’s expensive

    Silent Treatment from Russia actually works perfectly on most kids below 10 yo I think. At least worked on me when I was a kid. I still remember these times, when I first felt confused, then sad, then thought and actually understood what I did wrong and tried to apologize to mom. Although father went with spanking and it worked just as well, ehe.

    As a Filipino, we actually have other punishments. They are kneeling on salt while lifting our arms which is super uncomfortable, putting you inside chicken cages, and eat chili peppers as you try saying bad words

    I grew up with my paternal grandparents. My grandmother used to strip my pants and pinch my thighs terribly for any mistakes I made... And then make me stay in very uncomfortable stress positions until I have learned my lesson. Then she used to massage my stressed parts😅. She's so lovely... She died 5 years ago... I miss her a looot. Not her physical torture though😅.

    In India, we've faced almost all these punishments during our growing years, but the only punishment that our kids get are less time for cartoons, early bedtime or no holiday. Yelling and beating is very rare to see.

    I am in North America and I was spanked with a metal pole when my dad was angry about something. There are lots of different punishments I had received. I was never given any study time. They didn’t let me do my homework, resulting in me flunking school 2 times.

    All of them are considered child abuse and neglect. When mothers say that "This is for discipline", it's not. This would just traumatize the child and can lead to death

    In paragraph 1631 of the German "Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch", the German Civil Law Book, it says: _“Children have a right to a non-violent upbringing. Physical punishments, psychological injuries and other degrading measures are not permitted.”_

    That punishment from Romania is more enforced in preschools and kindergartens. At the country side one punishment is to kneel on hard corn for a few minutes.
