If someone don't know, Baba Yaga is a witch-goddess, that lives between Yav'(world of live) and Nav'(world of death). When child got to Baba Yaga(he was often kidnapped by herself or by her geese-swans), it means, that he hurt himself. Baba Yaga lives in a hut on chicken or sheep's legs, and sometimes she can be helpful, when she gives to the hero food, magical objects(for example flying carpet or fast running boots), bed for a night and washes the hero in banya. Baba Yaga doesn't ride a broomstick, she rides a big iron flying or jumping mortar, steers with the iron pestle and sweeps her trail with the broom or with her long tongue. Instead of magical glass ball she have got magical saucer with a blue border and with golden apple, that show all events taking place in the world

The most popular mythical creature in Venezuela is the Silbon, which is the spirit of a young man who was cursed by his grandfather after seeing him murder his father after doing the same with his nu daughter-in-law, the grandfather of the silbon, before cursing him, tied him to a tree and whipped him and made some dogs try to eat him, it is said that he carries his father's bones on his back, his height exceeds the tops of the trees, he usually roams the Venezuelan plain at night behind him the dogs that followed him, if his whistle is heard nearby it is because he is far away, but if if you get to hear his whistle far away it's because he's close

As a Bangladeshi 🇧🇩, I can say we all heard the story of Shakchunni in our childhood .
She is actually a dead married woman who wears *bangles* or *shakha* (Bangladeshi adornment) from where the word shakchunni came . Shakha is The symbol of Hindu married women in the Bangladeshi villeges .
It is a myth of village people that when the married women go outside of home in the dark , they need to take anything like stick or metalic , because Shakchunni fears it . If a woman don't do so , then she will attack her , disguise herself like the victim and start living with the victims husband .
This story is told also for threatening children so that they don't go outside without permission.

Besides, in Uruguay the most popular is probably the Werewolf! 😁
