So I have my Social Studies GED in 12 hours. I’ve done my practice and watched your video. Whilst I was able to get a lot of them correct, there were a few that I was able to look at from a different perspective and understanding via your video. Any words of advice for the test and its time management? Also I hope everyone who takes the GED passes with great scores!! Good luck!
I wanted to say thank you for all the help and encouragement! Tip for any neurodivergent people is when you see "mean" think about how mean it is to add all the numbers and divide. Not sure if that's going to help you but it did me!
Just like on the math part, learning to add, subtract,multiply and divide positives and negatives.. I remember my 7th grade teacher telling us "DO THEY LIKE EACH OTHER?" of they are the same sign yes they like each other which makes the outcome a positive #. While a - and + DO NOT like each other so the outcome of that will be NEGATIVE.
i gave my GED social studies and science test today and passed with a 150 on social studies and 153 on science, I just want to thank you Parker without your help and all the amazing videos you make i wouldnt have been able to do it. This will be my 5th time taking it and I'm so exhausted and nervous, feeling like I can't pass it. I'm always 3 points away or 1 point away to getting this perfect score. I take my test on Monday so hopefully this time when I take it, I finally pass it.

If possible, I recommend taking at least one GED Ready practice test for social studies, as these should be the best indication of what you can expect on the real test. I took the GED three days ago. You need a score 8 to pass. I took Reading, science, and social studies. These were my scores Reading: 11 Science: 10 Social studies: 6 I have to retake social studies so I'm watching your videos. I'll be retaking it soon with math, and writing. I praise God I passed reading and science †. I love how you explain everything patiently. One question, So when we are looking for median number,do we just look for the smaller number ? What if the bigger number has minus in it ? Would it not be smaller number?
Hi, thank you for watching! For the median, you want to put the numbers in order from smallest to largest and then find the middle number. And yes, a minus in front of a bigger number makes it a smaller number. I hope this answers your question. Good luck!

Question 6 is also C as the Atlanta vote brings the Democratic total to be higher than the Republican total in the northern half of the state. That question does not seem like a good question in my opinion without more data on the populations of each county.
in my country it's required to take the GED ready test and get atleast a 155 , I passed all the other subjects except social studies (I got 150) so now I'm trying to study and pass it
Hello i have my final social studies test coming this week on Wednesday, and i can never get those opinion question on the Ged test! is it possible if you can make a small video and explain how to get those right, the test will give you a multiple choice to choose which of these is an opinion and that is it. i always got those questions wrong! i have a helpful tip tho! reading those passages there is always a consistent way the author is writing about, if he consistently writes the same one about a passage, his opinion is based on that! you will find those answers on the multiple choice! good luck :D
I took this test 6 times and can’t pass it there is something wrong what ever I’m studying at rio salado college none of them comes on my test ,I’m passing the practice test but not the actual exam please anyone has an advice for me I will really appreciate you
Hi do you recommend taking 1 subject at a time and passing it first before jumping on to the next subject? Or should we take all of them and then retake the ones we fail if we do fail?
I personally think that its easier to take one subject at a time until you pass it, because you can focus all your energy in a particular subject, but that's just me, take your time bro and be patient with yourself, you got this !!
Hi! I've been studying for the GED for a while now, and I've gone through the Kaplan course and the Princeton Review GED book. I thought I was set to try and take the GED, but when I try to take the official practice tests there always end up being questions that haven't been covered anywhere. I don't know which practice tests are accurate to what questions are actually ON the tests. any advice?
at 10:27 you wrote the answer without percentage and I thought i should have written 244.5% when converting decimal answer to percentage since it says (%) can you please help me understand
Hello please I need help with my reading test and my social test I did social 4 times with a low score and reading 3 times with a low score too please help me I want to move one 😭😭😭🤲🏽🤲🏽
If you've passed all 4 online practice tests, on average, I'd try to take them ASAP so you don't forget stuff. There's no guarantee of course, but you're probably in good shape if you're already passing practice tests. If you're not feeling confident though, then i'd study some more.
I’m in grade 9 but in Canada and got 8/9 questions correct I have my finals tomorrow and needed a video to study with since I’m too lazy to study for real 😂
Man this stuff is hard i have ADHD do you have any suggestions the farthest i ever went in school was 7th grade how long would it take me to learn this to pass the ged i know some of the most successful people hardly had any formal education like Henry Ford and Andrew Carigine but you have to have a ged to get a good job bummer because most people dont even use this on the job
Hey, I know this was asked months ago but I figured I'd answer in case anyone else was wondering. Not sure how to get 9.23 but to get 1 you would 1. Combine -3.49+2.16+3+2.33 (don't forget to subtract 3.49 because it's a negative regardless of the addition symbol that comes after) 2. Your sum will be 4 so you will divide 4 by 4. (You divide by 4 because that's the number of options in the table) 3. Your result from dividing should be 1 Hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for watching and for commenting! If you're able to, I highly recommend taking at least one GED Ready test for social studies, as it should help you get an idea of what you can expect on the real test. There are different versions of the test, so unfortunately nobody can predict exactly what kind you'll get. Some of the passages on the real test may be longer. And of course, you'll have the time ticking down, which can make it harder. And you'll have more questions on the real test too. But other than that, I wouldn't expect the real test to be too much harder. Maybe someone who's taken the test before can share their experience with the real test compared to this practice test if they see this comment.

Question 6 is also C as the Atlanta vote brings the Democratic total to be higher than the Republican total in the northern half of the state. That question does not seem like a good question in my opinion without more data on the populations of each county.
in my country it's required to take the GED ready test and get atleast a 155 , I passed all the other subjects except social studies (I got 150) so now I'm trying to study and pass it

How many questions was it?
Hello i have my final social studies test coming this week on Wednesday, and i can never get those opinion question on the Ged test! is it possible if you can make a small video and explain how to get those right, the test will give you a multiple choice to choose which of these is an opinion and that is it. Thank you
i always got those questions wrong! i have a helpful tip tho! reading those passages there is always a consistent way the author is writing about, if he consistently writes the same one about a passage, his opinion is based on that! you will find those answers on the multiple choice! good luck :D

Hi do you recommend taking 1 subject at a time and passing it first before jumping on to the next subject? Or should we take all of them and then retake the ones we fail if we do fail?
I personally think that its easier to take one subject at a time until you pass it, because you can focus all your energy in a particular subject, but that's just me, take your time bro and be patient with yourself, you got this !!
Hi! I've been studying for the GED for a while now, and I've gone through the Kaplan course and the Princeton Review GED book. I thought I was set to try and take the GED, but when I try to take the official practice tests there always end up being questions that haven't been covered anywhere. I don't know which practice tests are accurate to what questions are actually ON the tests. any advice?

at 10:27 you wrote the answer without percentage and I thought i should have written 244.5% when converting decimal answer to percentage since it says (%) can you please help me understand
The thing is the numbers you’re adding up are already in % form so 2.245% would be the answer

After we pass all 4 online practice tests how long would you recommend on average to study to take the real tests?
If you've passed all 4 online practice tests, on average, I'd try to take them ASAP so you don't forget stuff. There's no guarantee of course, but you're probably in good shape if you're already passing practice tests. If you're not feeling confident though, then i'd study some more.

Man this stuff is hard i have ADHD do you have any suggestions the farthest i ever went in school was 7th grade how long would it take me to learn this to pass the ged i know some of the most successful people hardly had any formal education like Henry Ford and Andrew Carigine but you have to have a ged to get a good job bummer because most people dont even use this on the job

Hey, I know this was asked months ago but I figured I'd answer in case anyone else was wondering.
Not sure how to get 9.23 but to get 1 you would
1. Combine -3.49+2.16+3+2.33 (don't forget to subtract 3.49 because it's a negative regardless of the addition symbol that comes after)
2. Your sum will be 4 so you will divide 4 by 4. (You divide by 4 because that's the number of options in the table)
3. Your result from dividing should be 1

Hi, thanks for watching and for commenting! If you're able to, I highly recommend taking at least one GED Ready test for social studies, as it should help you get an idea of what you can expect on the real test. There are different versions of the test, so unfortunately nobody can predict exactly what kind you'll get. Some of the passages on the real test may be longer. And of course, you'll have the time ticking down, which can make it harder. And you'll have more questions on the real test too. But other than that, I wouldn't expect the real test to be too much harder. Maybe someone who's taken the test before can share their experience with the real test compared to this practice test if they see this comment.
