I live on the island and im constantly out in the bush but cougars are very hard to find, you need to go into more isolated areas perhaps.if you ever are by nanaimo try behind around mount benson preferably behind it not to long ago a guy came across 3 cougars on a logging road on the mountain
i wouldn't necessarily dedicate a trip there because if you found nothing it would be kinda pointless, just a heads up if you ever are in that area because theres lots of cougars and blackbears behind benson you just need a little luck on your side

Good video Dan. Have you airbagged the rear of your truck to handle the extra weight of the camper/trailer/side by side ?
