Duke Ellington - Take The ‘A’ Train (Clarinet Quartet ver.)

고전음악들 중에는 지금 들어도 매력적인 음악들이 정말 많습니다.
그중 오늘 들려드릴 Duke Ellington - Take The A Train 은 유명한 스윙 재즈 곡 중 하나입니다.
1900년대 초기 미국 뉴올리언스 재즈가 탄생했고, 1930년 뉴욕으로 옮겨지면서 '흔들거림(swing)'이라는 단어에서 유래된 스윙 재즈가 탄생하게 되었습니다.
곡 제목의 뜻을 찾아보니
그 시절, 뉴욕 할렘 지역 클럽으로 제일 빨리 갈 수 있는 기차가 ‘A‘ Train 노선이었다고 합니다.
우리 얼른 모여서 빨리 놀자! 라는 의미를 가진 신나는 음악이죠🎶

There are so many classic pieces of music that still charm us today.
One of them is Duke Ellington's "Take The A Train," a famous swing jazz tune.
The term "swing" comes from the rhythmic swaying motion.
Jazz originated in early 1900s New Orleans and later moved to New York in the 1930s, where swing jazz was born.
The title of the song refers to the fastest train route to Harlem clubs in New York back then, called the 'A' Train line.
It's an exciting song that essentially says, "Let's gather and have fun!"
