Tw1 am FCS team that’s beaten every FBS team over the last 10 years and an FCS team that’s won every title besides one in that time. These FCS teams they beat constantly beat FBS schools all the time as well. Any FBS team outside of the top 10, the true top 10 teams, of the FBS are can all be beat any given day so don’t act like just because the division is lower doesn’t mean the top teams of the “lower division” aren’t that far from the next level.
Tw1 Kinda like App State right? Shitty FCS team. Beat Michigan and worked their way to the FBS and now they’re a top 25 team. Stfu with FCS teams all suck. Yeah, most of them couldn’t compete with a lot of the teams, but the top teams of the FCS(NDSU, SDSU, JMU, etc) are all right their with the FBS teams. Again, maybe not the true top 10, but everybody else is fair game.

It's not as bad as the App State win over top 5 Michigan. In fact, I remember a few national sports writers were telling their audience to watch out for an NDSU upset the week before.

Being An Iowa Fan, All I can is I have nothing but respect for NDSU. They Deserve All The Respect They Get and They Bring Their A-Game.
As an NDSU student, this is one of those “I was (here) when this happened” moments. It was a huge deal and definitely the biggest win in program history, and we’ve won 14 national titles.

@@andrewskogen7513 haha makes sense. I think it would be easier for the world and the program to adjust to their eventual fbs birth as a mid major with a similar feel as late 2000’s boise st/2021 cincinnati type team. I’d love to see it in the next few years
I remember watching this game in our dorm lounge, Churchill Hall. We packed that tiny little room with people to watch on the big screen. When we missed the 2-pt it felt like that was it. When we got the stop on defense the tense nature of that room was something incredible. When Cam lined up for that kick the nervous energy in that room could've powered all of North Dakota. And whenhe hitthat field goal it was pure insanity on our part.
And in true NDSU fashion, the parties later that night just off campus were fucking insane. Just an incredible weekend and easily one of my favorite moments at NDSU.

NicoHeat 12 exactly it’s a lose lose. If you win nobody cares, but if you lose (which there is a good chance of happening) you get kicked out of the top 25 for sure and get roasted for losing to a FCS team.

Pro Sports Central Only a dumbass would flame someone for losing to NDSU. North Dakota State is so good to the point, I'm not even surprised if they win against another FBS team. Any of the Dakota schools could do good at the FBS level, especially North Dakota State and South Dakota State. Only an uninformed jackass would joke about someone losing to them just because they just so happen to be a FCS school. Being a FCS school doesn't automatically make a school inferior to all FBS teams. Yes, they do have the scholarship disadvantage being an FCS school but NDSU could whoop a great number of FBS schools on any given day and they have despite that disadvantage.
I agree. In the case of NDSU, you put them in the FBS and they would do some major damage.

Born in N.D., raised in Iowa. This was a heartbreaker but also seemed inevitable. When I saw NDSU on the schedule I knew it was trouble. NDSU is aggressive where Iowa is cautious. Ferentz doesn't do well in those situations.

Fun fact they have never lost to an FBS team. 6-0 all time and obviously every one of those games was on the road. By far the craziest college football stat. That record will be tested in a major way this year @ Oregon (if we get a season at all).

NDSU is a monster, they’re pretty much an FBS team, wouldn’t schedule them. Wasn’t very shocked when I found out about the outcome of this game.
It's fun to watch a ND State play against FBS competition. Yeah, I would like to see them in a matchup with a top SEC team, even though I know there is good chance it would not go well. I think the gap between FCS and FBS has closed somewhat, but FCS not gonna make a living playing top FBS teams. But, it is fun to see them compete. Just the fact the Citadel played Alabama to a 10-10 halftime score was exciting. We all knew the Tide would roll in the second half but it was still fun.
Lifelong Iowa fan but go to school at NDSU. This was the first and only game I've ever cheered against Iowa and it was a great one. Both my parents are Iowa alumni and there weren't too happy!

NDSU shouldn't be in the FCS
In 2011, Geogia Southern went to Bama and lost by 24. A month later they went to NDSU and lost by 28. NDSU and Bama were National Champs that year. NDSU's 2013 and this years team are way better than the 2011 team. Bama would not kill them. If it was at a neutral site, it would be even closer. Bama would win though.
As a LSU fan, we try to forget it, but you might as well get it done with. LSU vs Troy, but also make sure you do the one where Troy almost beat LSU.

They need an invite, which they haven’t gotten. Also their stadium barely meets the FBS minimum. Doubt they have the money to build another one.
