This was one of my favorite episodes. I like that she, let it slip on how she felt about Harm. I also like that her and Sturgis, learned to get along. Also that they started to build a friendship and working relationship. Harm was funny too, use a firm hand. Please Harm, almost always did what she wanted.
Such a great scene. Well written and well acted. I learnt such manners, big words, and sarcastic timing from this show growing up. It also set up the belief that when one made such a confession to a friend that they would act like he did. Surprised (knowing the person didn't fall often) respectful, treated them with maturity and knew it mattered. Love in all things I learnt from growing up MEANT something ....then I fell in love and my friends were so nonchalant, creepy, rude, acted like it was just puppy love (despite me being older than Mac is in this scene) and just plain rude and down putting. They were all well over fifty years old but acted like such children. They were assholes. It really broke my heart. Good thing I fell for a man like Harm. A really good man. ❤ He treats me better than anyone has. Still wish we had true friends like in this show in our lives, though. 😢 But then again we can be each other's I suppose. 🙂 I still love this show!
Poor Mac. :-( She loved him so much, and he could never commit. Given her childhood, she never felt worthy of him. I think the downfall of their relationship happened in Sydney, where she put herself out there and he turned her down. And even when her and Mic broke up, he never would tell her how he felt.
Ehhhh, he had it coming. You put someone off for that long for no reason other than you can't man up and there's bound to be backlash. Theirs was the very definition of situationship. 😂

It was embarrassing for Mac to say in front of Commander Sturgis Turner that she's in love with Harm,which was surpressed from the day those two met when she was a Marine Major & Harm wasn't a full Navy Commander yet.

I loved JAG from the first episode, fell in love with Mac and harm handsome for a man. The show ended prematurely, they could've produced another series showing the wedding and life after marriage. Happily watching JAG re-runs at the moment in Australia. Australian TV is full of celebritie shows, ridiculous Love at first sight etc., etc., so boring. Rather watch JAG repeatedly.
Me, too! Catherine Bell is so beautiful, she makes me sigh! It's amazing to me that the actress who played the conniving JAG LT. Singer is DJE's real life wife! It was painful but real to see the relationship between Mic and Mac, tho.

Shania Sampson Speaking simply about _Airwolf_, I know it was a drama/action show (as were _Knight Rider_, _JAG_, and to an extent, _Buck Rogers_), but for crying out loud, so was _Hart to Hart_, (more adventure/drama oriented), and yet Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner _STILL_ steamed up the screen with their romance! So if _they_ could do it, why not any of the other ones? (At least, Harm and Mac got it right in the end!) :)

the writers were really interested in carrying the relationship out as long as they could. the actors got into their characters though and made the writing look dumb. that being said colonel sarah mackanezie is kind of a self deprecating character, and she did give up on having a relationship with harm namely because she loved him. it made him off limits..scary to her. she didn't want to ever actually lose him and I think she was scared he would hurt her and it would completely obliterate the connection they had. in the later seasons after the webb crap...a relationship which wasn't unplausible cause she liked picking dicks for boyfriends. I think she felt bad and felt like she wasn't worth harm anymore and was interested in pushing him away cause she felt like she didn't deserve him. she's a very flawed character. and freagin' harm lacked the ability to commit and he couldn't be honest with himself or his feelings. Like he couldn't say to her face he loved her and would get all baffled...She's was super insecure in spite her marine veneer and needed someone to stabilize her. harm did it emotionally but he never actually told her. until we got speedy gonzales on the last episode.

I hated how the writers turned Sturgis into a self-righteous dick, towards the end of the show, but he WAS a stand up guy, where this was concerned. He kept his word, never said a thing.
The genius of the show was they drug out and played up the unspoken tension between Mac and Harm. If they’d have gotten married in season 2 the ratings would have been lower.
Actually, she was thinking about me when that slipped out and it's so annoying when she does that. KEEP YOUR MIND ON YOUR JOB YOUNG LADY and not on top quality muscle!
For me is very interesting, did any of commentators had seen this show till the end? I saw whole JAG at 2022, so I can say - this scene as a cinematic product is total crap and is totally useless. All dialogues (especially of maine heroes) must serve for their characters or hole story development. Before this conversation we (viewers) already knew, that Commander and Colonel are in love of each other. It was clearly showed, that they confesses about feelings personally, said about them to each other and everybody in JAG central office already know about them. Realistic and logical development after this scene should be a bottle of whiskey and long talk between Harm and Sturges. Like shipping will be more successful if it will be done by same rank person. Instead, that Surgies (script writers) decided do nothing. So all this scene is a bullshit. P.S. what show runners make with main characters starting from season 7, that's crime. After the death creators of JAG will be punished in the hell by permanent forced review O JAG S7-S10
