as one who reads the greek NT and Septuagint daily for many years, the greek grammar and construction and word usage in Hebrews is totally unique; Some scholars familiar with alexandrian greek say this high greek looks alexandrian; Since Apollos was recognized by many of the NT churches in Asia as an inspired teacher, and Paul recognized this as well: he would be likely choice; He was known by Timothy as Paul instructed him to encourage Apollos to visit these other churches; So Paul trusted his teaching. Apollos called Timothy his brother, not his son; again not from Paul.

Priscilla. In more recent times, some scholars have advanced a case for Priscilla having been the author of the Epistle to the Hebrews. This suggestion came from Adolf von Harnack in 1900.

Failure to identify the author of the book of Hebrews defeats the “forcefulness” and meaning to the book.
“it is always unwise to build a positive philosophy on uncertain, negative assertions.” ML A.
Paul fits in the historical context of the circumstances that make the book of Hebrews an “Urgent Message” to a people who were still caught up in the old liturgical rituals. People who revered angles. People who had rejected Christ but revered Moses, and Melchizedek.
It was before the destruction of Jerusalem and the old Apostle was in Prison and as he had said before, he owed a debt to the Jews and rightfully so.
No one else could have had a better and deeper grasp of the issues that the book discusses.

Have you ever thought that The beloved disciple of Jesus - John the Apostle wrote the book of Hebrews? It seams to be his style in the Gospel of Christ according to St. John, as well as the way he wrote I, II, and III John - referring himself in these a "the elder".

I highly recommend Robert Breaker's video "Introduction to Hebrews Verse by Verse Bible Study KJV", because it lays a great case for that the author was Paul, and that it only could make sense, if it was him. Hebrews is a book meant for Jews who will be in the tribulation, once the church is raptured, and will be as a tool for them during that period, so that they can realize that Jesus is their Messiah.

What is extraordinary is that the NT scholars do not have any idea of the author, the destination or the occasion for writing the letter to the Hebrews. Over the centuries there have been endless debates and, quite frankly, some ridiculous suggestions made based on very litte evidence. The problem is that they deal with authorship, target audience and occasion for writing separately. Identifying the message will reveal the problem being addressed and thus will give clues as to the target audience. An admission of not having any idea of the target audience means they haven't fathomed out the key teaching point and the problem being addressed in the letter. The clue: look for the unique teaching not found anywhere else on the NT.

It was said by our national hero that you cant go to the future if you will not look back. It was also mention thsr this was the divine language used by adam and eve to communicate to God. This might help the world let us go back from the start when all is fresh and life is just starting to develop. Maybe it should not be assumed that the author was male. Mary was incredibly passionate about Christ and His teachings. There was a degree of jealousy from the other disciples regarding Christ's favoritism of Mary. He also told Mary things He did not tell the other disciples. Mary may have felt the need to conceal her identity also because of the times. She may have felt an anonymous book would have less chance of being discarded or looked down on, because a woman wrote it. Just my thoughts...

@@larrybedouin2921 perhaps it errs in some things, I've only just begun it, but it's accurate in this point. Consider: "how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard," (Hebrews 2:3)
God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will." (Hebrews 2:4)
"Confirmed to us by those who heard." The author is not an Apostle, and certainly not Paul:
"For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ."
