Oh so grateful for this study. As a new Christian walking alone, struggle to understand the bible; initially intense persecution from church (left due to no learning) and from all over, left job, saw Satan ‘s work on front line (was sent initially on front line w/o knowing about Jesus) but knew nothing. Learnt prophecy afterwards, now trying to know what is the gospel and other books of the bible.

Bro I'm there with you. But we don't need to understand. GOD WILL GIVE US THE UNDERSTANDING AS HE SEES FIT. Woops on the caps. So just have patience, faith, and love. I notice when I really dig deep into the scripture and I'm trying to complete books or complete an entire series or whatever. I'm trying to read a lot of the times I start getting mad confused. But other times I read like a scripture and I feel like I get an entire download from God. He definitely has our back when it comes to learning.

Thank you for your teaching on book of James most of doubts misconceptions on this book cleared 🙏however you are not cleared Paul contention Salvation by faith alone (quotes Abraham) James argues salvation not only faith it require some good works (quotes Abraham) which is the correct conclusion you are not discussed? I feel salvation by faith alone when person called /salvation given but the works showing the evidence of salvation required to manifestation of his salvation.

Nothing good can be given except by God.
Who does the work? Is it man or God?
Unsaved ndividuals who hear the word of God are those who see who they are and do not believe.
James 2:15-17 We are the naked and destitute without the indwelling Spirit of God. God profits us as believers. The giver to the destitute is God. Every man has been given the measure of faith. The work is done by the Holy Spirit. So faith without His work is dead. Very obvious! The body without the spirit is dead. This isn't about a believers good deeds. It is about one believing. Rahab feared God and through her God given fear, she believed. Abraham believed that God would raise his son Isaac from the dead. He told the others that he and Isaac would return from the mountain. Christians are left double minded thinking they must display a work, when in fact, the Holy Spirit quickens our mortal coil. It's about believing in His work!

James 2:14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith (T)but does not have works? Can that faith save him?

  • @gloryman3634

Paul is clear on the subject and in conclusion states, "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by THE LAW OF FAITH. Therefore we conclude that a man is "JUSTIFIED" BY FAITH WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW."(Romans 3:27,28)
James clearly opposes and in conclusion states, "Ye see then how that BY WORKS A MAN IS JUSTIFIED, AND NOT BY FAITH ONLY." (James 2:21-24)
We will do well to heed the words of the Apostle Paul if we will find rest in God alone through simple faith.

Exactly, There was never a time that Paul's Letters were not considered Scripture, yet James stumbled in around 370- so they understood that James TWO is a BIG ISSUE as he could not let the law keeping go, SOLA FIDE is the teaching of the NT!!Faith AND works simply cannot be reconciled as it is a contradiction in itself. The "non worker" has only one option, which is to hold to Christ's promises.. NOT one iota of what one does...

The pathetic reply to Sola Fide is that Paul never said "salvation is by faith alone" , Denying that when Paul wrote" SALVATION is by faith , EXCLUSIVE OF WORKS .. Can easily be paraphrased "Salvation is by faith alone"! IT IS A PATHETIC CATHOLIC ARGUMENT THAT THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

There is theological justification, and then the definition of justification. James most likely is using the justificiation in the sense that our works prove or salvations, or show that our salvation is correct. Whereas Paul is using justification to assert that our faith has made us righteous in the sight of God
