Damn, that's one of the worst designs I've seen in quite some time, as if they saw a book on good road design and decided to do the opposite of every piece of advice in it! Where do I even start, the signs are obscured, there's no road markings for a give way line, visibility is not the best, it goes against the "natural" feel of the road... could go on and on...
That isn’t a good design, but either way he should’ve read the signs.

I'm pleased to see the riders on these videos got a lot better, it used to be so much immaturity and I think it was just clout chasing. Like you can't do some janky shit, because let's be real, we all do some janky shit sometimes but them act like your risk isn't elevated.
Like some of these dudes splitting lanes in moving traffic and then start arguing and following people around. You're both wrong, they ain't looking in their mirrors, you're being a bozo.
But I'm glad to see more videos of people just handling shit, not making excuses and making a way to stay safe out here, and the cherry on top is being cool headed and moving on. Yeah sometimes you gotta look a see if the person driving looks as stupid as they drive, some of the really bad cases yeah its like might throw my hand in the air, maybe yell something, but I used to see way to many people wanting to pull over and debate.

12:11 No, it really isn't that obvious it's a roundabout. The signs on the pillars say one thing, but the layout and road markings say something totally different. Maybe it was a roundabout at one point and they never removed the signs but the road layout certainly isnt one now
Those signs mean it's a roundabout so as long as they are there roundabout rules apply

I've been a chopper / cruiser rider for some 15 years, but I have never done / I'll never do many of the things these bikers have..
1. Some of the riders in this video rode in a sort-of a reckless way (e.g. lane splitting at n-times the speed of the cars is always a bad idea - so is driving way too fast on a narrow town road, where there's little to no room to manoeuvre in case of a need, etc..).
2. Riding in a way, where the biker expects others to follow all the rules and not take other's possible mistakes into consideration, especially in a city traffic, is just very silly and quite dangerous.
3. Honking and/or revving as a remedy never works and it's also a very dubious precautionary measure. Expecting others to instantly realize their mistake and behave correctly at a finger-snap is never the outcome.
4. Explaining anything to anyone about their driving while driving is plain stupid. Just don't.
5. Riding along with or close behind a weird-driving individual is stupid and often counterproductive, not mentioning it may be very dangerous. Just don't.
LbnL I advise all folks to ride in such a way that they get home safe. That means - keep the focus, expect different outcome than the desired one and always keep a cool head.

The biker already committed to passing the driver before he turned on his turn signal, and the biker slowed down as soon as the driver turned on his blinker. Besides, the driver was in the far left lane and cut across the right lane to turn right. Of course the biker thought he was turning left. Did you even watch the video?
@@3riormrsup He was in the same lane the entire time. It's only one lane. The biker should have kept his distance and slowed down, regardless of whether the person was turning left or right.

I love how a good portion of these videos are of bikers speeding like dumbasses, then getting mad when someone pulls out in front of them. Will straight sit in someone's blind spot while in a turn and wonder why they got "cutoff" blows my mind

I don't think that the biker is surprised at the car running a red light, rather they're surprised at the speed the car was travelling.
That said, the car possibly either ran the red light because they saw the biker do it and created the mental picture that the lights had changed, there may be a common design flaw that caused both to take the wrong light, the biker could have passed the stop line when the lights were yellow...

I'm sure that he would be (reasonably) annoyed if one of those "Karens" came and called the police on him while he was going about his day and abiding by the law... that seems to have the same energy as such a situation, the bike guys were riding responsibly and posed little to no possible threat at all.

True, all though some people are complete jackasses on the road who don’t pay attention. I’m sure just braking when you see it coming would avoid things getting worst. I know it’s frustrating and I’m pretty sure it would pissed anyone off but at the end of the day it’s your life, don’t put yourself in a position to get hurt or worst killed. @@ONW4V3R: While there are many drivers like that, in this case that's an assumption, -whereas the fact that they're doing over three times the limit is just that- (edit: I can't find the clip in this video so it must have been another one I was thinking of, but the biker in that one was doing over 150km/h as shown on their speedometer on a road that was signed for 50km/h. To which the above posts apply: you reduce the time people have to spot you, especially when you're small like a motorcycle.)

a lot of those are bikers getting scared because someone drives into a road a bit so they can see if someones coming or they are picking up speed to quickly get behind the motorcycle. dont stop on the spot if you dont have to, slow down and swerve and go, dont stop and argue, because thats how youll get rear ended

@@staffyman11 I think he's talking about 14:05 with the guy on the GSXR, yeah he completely cuts off the one blue car on the left at a double stop intersection, then is simply moving too fast through the lot for a pedestrian zone, with stopped traffic and an actual pedestrian... he crossed into the other lane, and then after that incident, there was a couple with a cart and he swerved into the other lane to also rush out of the lot.. I was expecting way more comments for that guy, he really did everything wrong and made us bikers look bad

Watch your mirrors! How about watch where youre going. According to driving regulations, the person ahead has a right of way and stay a safe distance.
When that person is in your lane, yes. When they are switching lanes or merging/turning into your lane, they are required to do so when it is safe. Which involves checking mirrors and blind spot. In the case of turning into the lane (from a side street), making sure any traffic coming is far enough away to complete the turn safely. This is because traffic already in the lane has the right of way. You being in front of them is irrelevant. That said, many of these clips show the biker completely over reacting. If them turning into your lane only requires you to brake normally, they did it safely. If it requires you to emergency brake and risk losing control, they didn't do it safely.
Filmer did not change lanes, other driver did. In that case, 1. other driver needs to check mirror and 2. other driver needs to yield to people already in the desired lane. it is not complicated.

0:15 as a person who use to own a buick like that, i can attest that those mirrors honestly suck,,,, like there's a 2 bike sized blind spot because of the thick rear windshield part of the frame. not to mention the mirrors just kinda wiggle out of place on there own over time, never notice it until its too late.

In the UK if someone is taking a left hand turn, it is like a right hand turn in the united states. Does the person taking a left hand turn have the right of way unless there is a green arrow for the person turning right?
Through traffic has the right of way regardless of the direction unless an advanced turning signal is lit.
