- Our friend gave us a pair of his Ferragamo jodhpur boots to refurbish. Like a lot of guys, he wears his shoes day in and day out and doesn't condition or polish them often. These boots definitely needed some love, so we gave them the works. After a complete resole and some restoration done to the leather uppers, this pair of Ferragamo's is good to go.

Really enjoyed the casual banter that you guys are incorporating into the videos. Talking to us and telling us what and why you are doing what you're doing makes the videos all that more entertaining (and educational). I'm usually confused by what size boot/shoe you're working on, since when you start to pull the footwear apart it makes them look smaller. I would not have thought this was a size 12 until I saw that you stamped it on the sole and also saw it in the boot itself. Guess I'm just one of those people that finds the size on the boot/shoe interesting.

I was gifted a pair of these (Boarhide loggers) that had crumbling poly soles. They had a stitched on welt, though, so I put my local cobbler to work adding Dainite soles & heels, leather midsoles, and cork filler, and I now have a pair of recraftable Wolverines!

I am so happy that you guys explained what the slits were for. In general I appreciate explanations for most things. I have been a subscriber to this channel for a while, but I would guess that for newer subscribers as well as old ones like myself, explaining things briefly which you have explained in earlier videos is a good thing. Education needs an element of repetition...
I feel like I've pick up most of the lingo, and a decent understanding of shoe construction, from watching this channel and a couple of others. I for one though would still really appreciate an 'anatomy of a shoe' type video, to really explain how and why different types of shoes are constructed the way they are. I think that would be great coming from Trenton & Heath.
Hello again. The boots of your friend are Jodhpur (strap/buckle) rather than Chelsea (elastic side gore) style. Jodhpur boots were created in India in the 1920s for playing polo. They caught on with some state police units (Kentucky and Tennessee are examples) for their sleeker look over the two pair of eyelet chukka boots, and the dress blucher derby versions worn by many. Def been watching yalls videos, have plenty pairs of regular $200 or $300 work boots that need work done to them but getting ready to order a new pair of the nicks custom hot shot boots this coming week cause they r worth the money.
