    Please Note: There were many technical rounds apart from this. I was one of the best players in IITDelhi along with Vishal Lama and Amitosh cheema in IITDelhi 2000 batch. Incidentally the company CEO (Satish Madira of Yasu Technologies) is himself good player and this was what happened in final round with him apart from many other discussions!

      It is great to hear from you Kalyan. I think it will put to rest the doubts of many who thought that how can someone play chess in an interview and many others who said it was fake. This video is the most viewed & appreciated on RU buZZing and we are very proud to have made it :)
      Thank you Kalyan for believing in RU buZZing in its early stages,

      Brijesh Kumar Mishra Electrical is tough and so is aerospace , mechanical and other disciplines. I found courses of computer science to be toughest! Its all individual interest and perception. Delhi Electrical Engineering department is excellent as i had courses under some of the best professors like S C Dutta Roy, Surendra Prasad , Sanjay Roy etc. Aerospace is also excellent (from what i have heard from my friends) . See where your interest lies and proceed!

    For those who don't know why the answer was 27 days-
    The man climbs 4 m and slips 3m that is he climbs 1 meter a day and at 26th day he has climbed 26m and at 27th day he climbs 4m and get out of the well😀

  • @prashantverma5517
    @prashantverma5517 Před 6 lety +546

    So the interviewer says "let's see how quick learner are you"? And asks the 27days question.
    Does that test his learning ability?
    To be a quick learner is to quickly grasp a new skill or knowledge.
    The question here measures his aptitude !

  • @badkaptanOP78
    @badkaptanOP78 Před 5 lety +189

    The man climbs up 4m and slips down 3m, so the man's net climbing is 1m. on the 26 th day he'll climb 26m and on the 27th day he'll climb up 30m but the well is 30m deep too....so it would take 27 days to come out from the well
    P.s.: I assumed that the man won't slip as soon as he climbed up that 4m on 27th day😅

At 27th day he was climbing 4 meter but he already climbed 26 meter so that (26+4=30) meter . therefore at the end of 27 he come up from a well

If we ask excess data before answering, these types of questions fall apart. They work only if the student interprets the plot from his own(which is different from the asked).

      Shardul Sant yes! Many core branch people go in to IT sector. I tried going in to core sector and applied to BHEL. But they rejected me as i failed in two electives. They wanted a guy with no F grade. Anyway they took two guys who were from SC category inspite of they having F grade. So i tried my luck in IT sector 😉

    the ans of puzzle is 28 days....i dont know what he thought for the reason of this ans.... but to be realistic , i think..... In this case, we have to take account of his height. Say his height with long stretched hands up is 2 meter. Its more likely to happen that the man climbs 1 meter and slips .75 meter, in this way. on 27th day, he completes 27 meter ,. so ,on 28th day he comes out of the well.

    So he did electrical engineering and applied in software programming field and the interview questions were completely unrelated to the field where he would be working. How on Earth is that a wise decision. Don't you think someone with CS BACKGROUND deserves that job more than an electrical engineer? If he was really passionate about software development then why did he do electrical engineering and not switch to CS field?

    These interview people in an attempt to ask aptitude questions ask unrealistic impractical questions. It should be both practical and logical.1) The first question if he fell in well without water he will die, if it has water then he will climb why should he fall again 2) How can he survive without food and water 3) Any one would have rescued him 4) His family members should have filed complaint about missing person (police could have tracked his last location using GPS) 5)How could he exactly climb and fall same distance (as his stamina will decrease day by day),,,,,,IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET JOB OR HIRE EMPLOYEES PEOPLE BECOMING IRRATIONAL AND IMPRACTICAL WITH MONEY AS ONLY THE DRIVING FORCE.

      Now everyday the man effective climbs 1 meter (4-3), so one can easily think that the answer is 30, that is, one meter per day, but the trick is, on the 27th day the man is already 26 meters above, now he climbs 4 meters making the distance 30, enough to get himself out of the well without falling 3 meters again, so the answer is 27 days.
