@ Carl Maddox - Both the featured videos are quite famous. The first guy was the victim of a malicious warrant probably because he'd already posted his previous interactions with TVL goons on CZcams. The magistrates who later found him guilty of obstruction should be ashamed of themselves.

good for you. but if they send you a letter requesting info, my advice is to reply online or from a public phone box, using a different name and just tell them you have no TV facilities at your address. that will keep them off your back for another year or two. no one will come round - problem solved. you have to box clever because they are a large faceless establishment and you are 1 person

It should be pointed out Danny Allen didn't even have a TV in the house but he was done for obstruction for not allowing them in and his FMOTL stance was used against him in court, non of this would happen if people just closed the door, don't answer questions or confirm anything

    • @MrAndrewFarrow
      @MrAndrewFarrow Před 6 lety +5

Then he’d have been prosecuted for failing to give all assistance reasonably required.
At least that what the graphic of the relevant law says in the video.
      Presumably, that’s what ‘obstruction’ means.

    • @MrAndrewFarrow
      @MrAndrewFarrow Před 6 lety +4

Todd Gilbey well, it APPEARS that if they turn up WITH a warrant and you simply say “no entry” you’ll be charged with obstruction.

The law in the graphic in this video seems to say that ANYONE MUST cooperate with them.
I agree the best bet is to not open the door. That way they don’t know it’s you that’s not cooperating.

I once had a tv license mug come around demanding I pay for a license for a tv that I didn't even have. The tw*t then told me I needed to pay a tv license for my stereo because it had a radio function and wouldn't accept when I told him A) a radio licence is obsolete and B) the radio didn't even work because the aerial was broke.
He didn't like that and then asked if I owned a mobile phone that connected to the internet, I said I did so he demanded I pay for a license for that because phones can receive live TV. I showed him my phone, it was a Sony Ericsson that used basic webpages (I'm talking real basic, msn messenger barely worked on it unless you constantly refreshed the page) he soured at that and then played the "every property with an aerial must by law have a licence" card. I laughed in his face and bid him goodbye.

It's not really a TV licence and more of a licence to watch BBC content. The BBC does not make money through adverts or subscriptions, it used to be 100% broadcast and so anyone could watch it for free which meant it had a free rider problem, anyone could watch and enjoy the free content without paying, so the licence was written into law. But you only need one if you decode live TV, which leads to a lot of conflict as it's very hard to prove you own a TV but don't watch the BBC.

No. You're far away from being the only one who sees the problem with this. Many people are still programmed, or hard-wired, by this Bullshit, which is often a challenge to undo as the instilled fear is manifest. This is why conversations with each other, sharing real truths and experiences, information and confidence is vital. We are growing in number, we are tired of this oppressive and abusive society, and we WILL stand up and say "No! Enough!"

I'm so disgusted by BBC abuse that I am going to stop paying my TV licence. But to protect myself, I am also going to cancel my Sky TV subscription and disconnect the aerial and let the BBC know. If I get TVL at the door I'll just say it's disconnected. Any further talk from them will be met with I've already told you it's disconnected, good day sir, and I'll walk away from the door.
If they get a search warrant, I'll view it and if valid will let them in. The main win is I cost them time and money to enforce the corrupt TV licencing law.

Talsomfa is right, as the man in the video states, you have castle property rights if the police enter your home without a warrant you can and should defend your castle.
Even if they suspected you of a crime, entered the property without a warrant and you stabbed one, arguably if you had done nothing wrong then the attack is defence of your property from trespass.
If you have guns then it make that defence a whole lot more dangerous for those intruders, and as a result those intruders have to be damn sure that you are a criminal, if not they would just not turn up.

When he got his day in court the judge threw out the federal case because they tried to withhold information about the snipers they deployed. It's best that law enforcement fear an armed populace.

You don't need a TV Licence to own or possess a television set. However, if you use it to watch or record programmes as they are being shown on TV or live on an online TV service, or to download or watch BBC programmes on demand, including catch up TV, on BBC iPlayer, then you need a TV Licence in order to do so.

If i dont like who it is they get ignored unless they are persistent at which point i will confront them by going around the back first. And only in cases where they remain silent yet keep banging on. Only happened once.

I had this happen to me some 10 years ago, and whilst it was an honest mistake, i wish i knew then what i know now, because the pair that came to my house arrived dressed looking like police officers. I'm talking full black gear, black stab vest with colours and a radio attached to the chest. On opening the door i was immediately cautioned before even discussing the mater.
I was young & clueless and because it was a genuine mistake it was all resolved very quickly, however watching these videos (and this entire channel of which i love) i now feel a lot more confident when dealing with government agent/public servants. It also slightly enrages me when i think back to situations I've been involved in, especially the one i spoke of to do with TVL and how the essentially bullied me with scare tactics even thought i was fully compliant. In today's world it makes perfect sense to film every encounter with all individuals such as this.
@crimebodge keep up the good work, you are changing the way the public think one video at a time and helping create a better more knowledgeable country.

The contract from capita and the police isn't the reason why the police are so willingly helping them.
It's because the BBC is allowed to call it a TV license. It's not a License to own a TV like many people are brainwashed into thinking, even the police. But because it's called a license, and the way the BBC talk about requiring one all the time, and the goons push for it, the police are mislead into thinking it's a legal requirement much like a Driving License is to operate a powered vehicle and those real licenses are what the police are used to enforcing for actual legitimate reasons.

Explain to the policy officers that you are exercising your lawful right to -remain- *be silent* but under no circumstance will that be implied legally as being *acquiescence by silence* (consent by silence). Anagram of *Silent* is *Listen* and to listen is to *pay attention* , if you don't it will cost you. Anagram of *Silence* is *License* AKA as a Permit. To exchange a right for a privilege is to ask permission for something (in the form of a governmental permit or license) that you are free to do anyways. A privilege is granted by some authority, and equally it can be taken away by some authority.
*License* from Latin, *Licentiosus/Licentious* : unrestrained by law or general morality; lawless; immoral. Going beyond customary or proper bounds or limits; disregarding rules. *Disregarding accepted conventions, especially in grammar or literary style(legalese). Lacking* -legal or- *moral restraints.*
Freedom to deviate deliberately from normally applicable rules or practices (especially in behaviour or speech).
Excessive freedom; lack of due restraint.
Synonyms: dissolute, dissipated, debauched, degenerate, salacious, immoral, wanton, decadent, depraved, profligate, impure, sinful, wicked, corrupt, indecent, libertine, arbitrary
      Antonyms: *lawful, moral*
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Even if I let them in despite it being next to and connect to my TV I'd no more let them touch my PC tower than I would my blu-ray player, my microwave oven or lawnmower.

At my last property I had tv licence ppl turn up to my house on a weekly basis, I refused them permission to come into the property. I explained I had a tv in lounge but was only used CZcams and gaming. After months of visits I offered him to come in and look. He then said that would not be necessary and never heard anything else about it. I had also written to tv licence ppl to explain I did not require a tv licence but that didn't seem to have any affect.. if he rocked up with police I would of been so pissed!

By TV Licensing policy they cannot enforce against a pc, games console or other device that isnt connected directly to an aerial they cannot prosecute as it only if a tv or device is connected to an aerial. Found that out from personal contact to the TV licensing authority. Had a person knock on my door once about it the same day as my call and agreed with me that the devices I own cannot enforced to pay in court.

Would have been nice if you'd mentioned that the threat of forfeiture prior to a court hearing is against the law, namely the Bill of Rights.
The Sunderland lad incident is the worst example of how to handle TVL known to humankind. What makes it even more hurrendous is the back story - The lad gave it the large one on his doorstep with TVL goons on a number of occasions across the months previous.
The clip with the camper van on the other hand is the best example of how to conduct proceedings with TVL - through the window. Always through the window, and say nothing.
Would also have been nice if you'd mentioned that the BBC circumnavigated the 'Royal Charter' and its prohibiting the BBC's engagement in commercial activities by registering a new company 'BBC Worldwide' which is used to sell the content that the license paying gimp finances around the world. BBC Worldwide makes a profit of about 25 billion GBP a year.
