- The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform holds a hearing entitled "Misleading Information from the Battlefield." The hearing focuses on the death of Army Ranger Specialist Patrick Tillman in Afghanistan and the capture and rescue of Army Private Jessica Lynch in Iraq. The Committee examines why inaccurate accounts of these two incidents were disseminated, the sources and motivations for the accounts, and whether the appropriate Administration officials have been held accountable. Specialist Patrick Tillman's brother Kevin Tillman gives opening remarks.
This was clearly cover up by McCrystal and The Army. Complete destruction of all evidence including Pat Tillman notebook indicates that this was cover up.
Thank You Kevin Tillman. You continue to serve our nation. The truth shall set us free.

Almost as tragic as Archbishop Bertram being struck by a falling gargoyle while swimming off; and nearly as tragic as poor old Archbishop Wilfred slipping and falling backwards onto the spire of Norwich Cathedral. Oh Lord, you do work in mysterious ways. Else the US government might have had quite a hard time, having to cope with a popular former sports dude squealing their opium growing operations in Afghanistan and protesting their wars in general.

Tillman's death is tragic to say the least. If you think that he is is the only trooper that has been KIA by friendly fire you are sadly mistaken. War is hell & shit happens. the statements by the republican members during this hearing were absolutley disgusting. Claiming that the lies told about tillmans death were somehow just inadequcies is truly a new low. Harry Reid is a man of the people. What if a senator stood up at the end of the vietnam war and told Nixon publicly that the war is over ? That person would be held with high reguard in the history books and so will Harry.

I listened to the entire statement made by Mr. Tillman Brother and the incident doesn't meet the requirements of murder. I don't know the hearts of the men firing their weapons, but Pat Tillman's brother was there and his attitude must be given great weight. Mr Tillman is obviously very emotional about the loss of is brother, and he fell short from making a charge of murder.

Without proof of reasons to destroy evidrnce, destroying evidence is a crime worthy of consequences in alignment with conspiracy. One doesn't need to prove murder because in fact murder waa committed. How can you deny that fact? The job is not to decide what is fact. The job is to gain the truth of all involved for learning. If learning is not sought than the involved must have acted as planned and accomplished their goal. In summary, destruction of evidence is in fact admitting to accomplishing a goal.

I don't know what state you come from, but in California the state is required to prove every element of the crime of murder independently and beyond a reasonable doubt. There is no question that lies were told to cover-up something but what that something is has not been proven. No specific intent of murder has been proven in my opinion. Respectively

There is a lot of information on the DVD "The Pat Tillman Story". Any one who wants to know the truth should find it somehow and watch it, more than once. There is much information that happens after Kevin Tillman's gut wrenching testimony. And as for proving every element of murder in California if you work in any aspect of the law and you don't realize what a bullshit piece of crap that statement is then you are not paying attention. I worked for a huge law firm in CA and had to work on a death penalty case on behalf of the man convicted who was absolutely innocent. Another case of pinning a murder on a poor uneducated person for money. The Firm had to take the case Pro Bono in keeping with CA State Bar regulations regarding such matters. Ordinarily they would never handle a moneyless case like that. I had a lot of trouble sleeping at night during that business. I was the only one working on it and it deserved at least 3 attorneys working on it, one should have been a partner. I was a paralegal. I have no idea what happened to the man as I was injured on the job and was not able to go back to work there because of the type of injury I had. To try to find that man and speak with him in any way would have been against the rules of the Firm and they could have made my life miserable. Maybe they did the right thing. I told a couple of attorneys there about it and what I thought this man's defense should have been. I hope they got it right but in no way were the 'elements of murder' met in that case.
