Mike you're going to that much enjoying that road why don't you just tell her and ship it
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm trying to be a good person, Mike, but I have to admit there is something satisfying about being comfortable, relaxing indoors, sipping a hot cup of coffee, and watching you work in the rain. Thumbs up.
Lol
😂
I love hard work, I watch Mike work hard as often as I can. I usually lie down while he’s working 😂😂😂😂
😀😀😀😀😀😀
Good Morning, Mike! And all the OWTM fans! Have a blessed day..

In 1969, John Landis Grove and Paul Shockey launched Condor Industries, and began manufacturing self-propelled, telescoping hydraulic aerial 'cherry-picker' style lifts, primarily for the aircraft maintenance industry. In 1973, Condor Industries was renamed JLG Industries (JLG for John L. Grove) in JLG became 2006 part of Oshkosh Corporation. In 1947, Grove Manufacturing Company was founded by brothers Dwight L. Grove and John L. Grove and friend Wayne A. Nicarry to produce rubber-tire farm wagons. The company began in a small, rented two-car garage in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania. Today Manitowoc manufactures Grove Cranes ...
I know JLG machines are very prevalent on jobs, but I pucker just thinking about them. I have never run a JLG machine that didn't have a LOT of overtravel. You let go of the switch and it moves a good bit still. Sometimes back and forth. I prefer almost any other brand to JLG.
I remember those old Condor units. Thanks for the history information.
Very interesting bit of history. Thanks for sharing. Another real good .. excellent CZcams producer is Farmcraft101. He bought a used long extension cherry picker and did some amazing rehab maintenance on it.
.. nice to know @@MikeZMonroe B4 WM rolled out its portable sawmill in '82 they tried producing cherry pickers its funny also Sunbelt and other rental stores do not offer portable sawmill rentals so users only option is to purchase mills for use ..!
As far as the cost, in the late 1990s sisor lifts jlg made cost 1k per foot up and cherry pickers like that one was about 1500 per foot
Good Sunday morning Mike, Melissa and family! I hope the Huntman had a great birthday yesterday. Have a fantastic start to your week!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
"everybody must get stoned" ... and nobody "does it better" then Mike Morgan. ❤
Rock Daddy does it the best.
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Mr Mike, you're absolutely correct about the lift...I'm a volunteer fireman, and recently, we had a call involving a man lift and high voltage power lines. The operator didn't survive. I guess my comment is a general warning for everyone watching. Please be very careful operating all machinery.
I see "deer stand" written all over that lift.... I'm with you, Mike, on ladders. I can sit all day 20' up in a tree with my bow as comfortable as can be as long as I'm strapped in wearing my harness, but put me 10' up a ladder and my knees are knocking, too.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Good morning from Upstate South Carolina. The difference between a man and a boy is the size of their toys. Love all the machines. Keep the videos coming. Have another productive day.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm still rolling 😅 on the exit off of stage from yesterday's video. Love it.
✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
In the UK when the police don't give a description of a suspect, we read between the lines with surprising accuracy.
😂
😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
Hey Mike,
To safely operate that manlift you should have a full body safety harness and tied off with a safety lanyard to the basket loop anchor point.
✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
I hope Hunter enjoyed his birthday yesterday. Have a blessed day
You’re own “bad boys bad boys “ show 😂😂😂
Corning had a dozen lifts like that but electric. They stayed busy too. One year i and another guy each took one, his was a scissor lift, ane we used brooms and leaf blowers to take down all the spider webs, bird nests, and dust in our warehouse. I got all the areas around dock doors and ramps where a sissor lift couldn't get to. As many drives and roads you keep up, a roller would be nice to have. Just keep your eyes open and maybe a deal will come along like w Adam. I bet the road will hold it's shape longer after being rolled. Very nice of Adam to loan you his. I didn't mind a 30 minute video at all!! Thank you.👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Good morning Mike and fam. Nice seeing all the upgrades on the property, and all the equipment that you're running..! Man, what a change from the old days! Cheers from Florida!
I watched this from the Cracker Barrel in Junction City Kansas. My load is having a church day with the small Anish community in Wakefield, just north of here.
We will be visiting two or three communities in Missouri tomorrow.
Mike... Your "road to nowhere" looks absolutely incredible !!! Like everything you do... perfection !!! It was great seeing your bride [during that short segment] ... Mike, you should consider getting a scanner for your "family building" . It's amazing what you can find out about what's going on in your area. They can be annoying at times... but also quite informative at others ! Have a week !!!
✌✌✌✌✌✌
i have been enjoying the road build so much thank you
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Mike, I work in traffic engineering in Virginia. Those traffic lights you spoke about are using a system called Opticom. They work with a strobe light on the emergency vehicle, most noticeable on fire trucks. When they approach an intersection that strobe turns all lights red except for the lane of travel the emergency vehicle is in. They can turn them off and should only use them when needed. The strobe has an ID and is monitored. They save a lot of time on response and save lives. Thanks for all the great videos over the years.
Mike and family, good morning, used a lift similar to that one to change out the old windows in our old brick colonial. Worked great but because of its weight I still find where the tires went around the yard. Since then I have used a towable lift, 45’ or 55’, works great; have taken hundreds of trees in tight spaces, safely and efficiently. I am tracking Tyler; have a great day and week.
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
My oldest son is the lead driver for Sunbelt in the State College area. When you said they have nice equipment you are so right, I have used a bunch of it. I laughed when you mentioned "pucker factor" I'm right there with you buddy. As always, have a day!! Jay from Pa.
Good morning there’s something about the sound of 2 A limestone makes while being spread that’s very soothing like a gentle rainstorm very relaxing 😎
It's interesting the differences that still exist in the northern and southern regions of the US. Your investment in machinery and stone for building driveways would be considered unnecessary in the south. All you really need is a good 4 wheel drive, a winch, and a snorkel to make it to you house.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
😄I have been in the same boat. I use to hate it when the delivery guy leaves before I have a chance to get the basic program. It seems like all of them have their own little operation control quirks. Sometimes the lifts require a secret squirrel handshake to get them started and or moving.
Your go lucky. Having a little rain while you are rolling is a very fortunate thing. A little water can go a long way to help with compaction.
One safety thing about the boom lift- you could be launched out of it if the wheels hit an uneven surface just right. Using them on a construction site, the operator had to be harnessed to the machine with a full fall protection harness.
Regarding the ‘Manhunt’ I live in Australia and sometimes I think I’m on another planet listening to the news about teenagers who have multiple court convictions doing really bad things (robbing liquor stores, breaking into someone’s house to get car keys to steal their car, really bad stuff) they get bail and offend again the same day. One young boy had 388 convictions but still out on bail. What sort of world are we living in. I understand what you are saying.
I loved the little exit you made on the last video. Let's go Brandon

Mike, good morning. Thank you for sharing your video. Looks like your road is well on its way. I enjoy all the info you share along the way. Have a great July 4th. Dave D. from Maine.
Well done. Through this whole series of videos, I found it remarkably refreshing to witness the journey of Matt’s Mallet. Thank you for the insight.
You’re doing a great job with your road. You’re lucky to have friends such as Adam to loan you his roller. I do agree with you that man lifts are much safer than using a ladder. I’m 68 years old and the last thing I need is to have a mishap with a ladder. I used to clean my chimney from the roof. Being very careful not to slip or drop anything. Then I discovered a chimney cleaning extension brush that I can use from the basement to clean the chimney. One problem though, I have to seal off the basement to keep soot from getting into the rest of the house. And to avoid using a ladder to clean my gutters and vinyl siding I just bought a 24 foot telescoping wand to clean with. In conclusion, safety first. I don’t want anymore hospital visits. Have a great day. From your friends in Highgate Vermont.
As we get older a voice from within says “this is dangerous”. You did the right thing. Staying off a ladder is knowing your limitation.
I saw a 60 foot JLG for 15,000. Could be reconditioned. What i found out is that they are really close to the vest on their pricing. They want all your contact Information, before they give you a price. I guess that is so competitors cannot shop their prices.. ? I was an Electrician for a Contractor at the Firestone Tire & Rubber Plant in Orange, Texas. I used Manlifts, Scissor Lifts etc. For the towers i used a 120 Foot Boom. They are very safe and nice. If your interested there are many types, JLG Standard, Genie types, New, Used, Reconditioned are all available. That Roller is the ticket on that type of work for sure.. Thanks 💯🙏
I have a gutter cleaning extension for my blower which can get me about 24 feet off the ground. I built a PVC setup that connects to a garden hose, that gets me 24+ feet. Between blowing air and / or water, my gutters should be easier to keep clean.
Get gutter guard. Never have to worry again.
Hello Mike, The road is looking very nice after the new stone and Adam bringing you a roller to use is very special. Hope Hunter's birthday was a good one.
Dang!!! That roller even has a beer holder 👍🏼
Hi Mike. I ❤ that lift.( I prefer a smaller one.) My family didn't have money to rent one. But. That's my history of 9 ladder accidents. I've been banned from ladders since 2011. A smaller life would helped. Just saying. Those " renters" should had a operational manul to run lifts. Save a lot of grief & frustrations running lifts. Just saying. Adam's roller: That roller look a late 1980s or early 1990s model. 2000 models are quieter. Wonderful roller. 🥰😊😉👍 Great job on your road Mike. I thought 5 loads of 2a limestone. You want a decent final layer of 2a limestone. We all know how you ❤ mud. SARCASM! 😆😆😆😁😁😁 Yes. We get manhunt in Upstate N.Y. & Vermont. Sometimes. Both N.Y. & Vermont work together. They caught a guy in our nieghborhood's swamp in the late 1990s. He & another man escaped a N.Y. County Jail. N.Y. state police caught the other man in N.Y. Me & my family were 7/10th of a mile from the captured man in the swamp. We had excitement back then too. 2 helicopters, all types of N.Y. & Vermont law enforcements w/ thier vehicles. We saw in on our N.Y. news station. ( Our house was Upstate N.Y. The is road was Vermont.) Well. Say Hi to Eva, Tyler, Hannah, & Hunter. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey Mike check out diesel Creek write down the road on 79 he has multiple old rollers on his channel and he does sell a lot of his equipment I'm a Florida transplant who grew up in Carnegie and love watching outdoor with the Morgans and Diesel Creek my two favorite homegrown CZcamsrs
He only has over 700,000 subscribers now. Lol amazing how far he has come
Good morning everyone
Morning
I used to work industrial maintenance at a galvanizing plant, and have spent many hours on a man lift. Even though its better than a ladder I'm not much into the heights either. Especially over tanks of sulphuric acid or kettle of 830 degree zinc. I'm like you Mike. If it will start up and move I can run it. Been on vibratory roller, skid steer, excavator, etc. I'll be 74 in October so reserved myself to just 2 wheels now.
We have a sunbelt rental here in southern Indiana. Guess they are everywhere.
When I worked at the Water utility, we would rent one of those lifts for maintenance work. I was able to operate them after some study of the controls. I always managed to get some great pictures from a view I could get any other way. We never got one that large, but they are handy.
Mike, you are a 12 year old kid in an adult body. You got toys that a boy dreams of having and you are living the life. Also, Mike Morgan is a real person. What you see is what you get. Hang Tough and hug Melissa.
Rollin in the rain, like a boss
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great video, Mike! That roller is the way to go .
I worked construction 30 years ago. We used a (Genie boom lift). Pretty much the same spec. It Was battery powered …with hydraulic motors, driving the wheels.
It had a high speed cruise setting with the boom down ….And bigger tires.
I was riding with the operator on my first day. He drove around the building, at the site.
He ran through a big depression in the service road at high speed. He almost catapulted both of us ….out of the basket, … multiplying the movement at the end of the boom.
We were halfway out from the waist up, holding on to anything we could. 😂
Those days in construction I’ll never forget.
Manhunt! crazy!
Good Morning Mike and Everyone, hope everybody is well. Enjoyed the video so much, thank you for sharing!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The Pedal is actually called a Dead Man, kills all operation unless you are standing on it.
Good morning to everyone from NL, Canada🇨🇦
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a nice neighbor, God bless him.
Mike have you ever considered teach a group of young people how to operate some of the machinery that you you are so talented in working? Spread The Skills! I truly enjoy watching these videos!
Mike, if u find yourself renting a lift frequently check into Skid Lift, we use ours on our track loader for putting up siding, trimming trees, painting, gutter work, etc
I can remember going up in a lift one afternoon after lunch to check the removal of windows along with the "A" caulk. After we hit the building twice I swear through the mask I could smell alcohol. Then I moved towards the worker and dam he was already sweating out the alcohol. So on the 4th time we hit the building again at the 4th floor level I took over the controls. Got down and went over to the supervisor. Since this was a rate jpb, he was moved over to a non-rate job the next day.
Cant stand a alcoholic on a jobsite, luckily I've only had to deal with 1 or 2 in 40 years. Glad you called him out and got down safely.
@@JimmieD427 with one hand in a death grip around his neck. the other getting us down. He thought I was going to kill him.
I’m a seamless gutter and downspout contractor with way to may years in the trade. Use those all the time , some are great , some are not. JLG built units are well made and fairly easy to operate , but they all have their quirks. Way too many redundant safety features. I’m not afraid of heights till I get up about the hundred foot mark then things get wonky. But you are correct , a lift is the only way to go. Just takes a while to get accustomed to how each one operates.
Mike, those rollers when in vibration mode have broken watermains when we reclaim roads which means we grind down to gravel, in case you didn't know.
Old cast iron gas mains just love them rollers
- Ladders- Seems like everyone knows someone who has had a bad ladder incident. I chose not to become a statistic as I tried to maintain the exterior of my restored two story farmhouse. Knowing your limitations as you get older is the key. As hard as it was sold the house and live in a single level home.
The new road is looking great. So true about the rain helping compact it so much better.
A lot of time and energy went into the road. Turn out amazing and no more tracking mud 👍
Having an old roller about is always handy.especially the stone you put down without metal tracks to compact it.bit of rain always helps if the stones dry.
Awesome tutorial Mike. I’m so confident now after watching you demo the manlift that I can honestly say that I could rent one and safely pay someone to operate it.
Good morning Morgans and friends. Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday.
Thanks
Good afternoon friend , I'm late to the video today also , hope your day's been good so far 👍🙏😸

Safety harness makes me feel a lil better. 😉
Glad you are feeling better safety Sally
Hey Mike, tell Adam that roller was originally made by Vibromax for Case. Vibromax sold to JCB 6-8 years ago. Vibromax went independent of Case back about the time the Berlin Wall came down. They were headquartered in Racine WI. There might some old dealer out there with old parts inventory and old knowledge. Good simple roller.
I forgot to mention that Vibromax was a German company
Congratulations to Tyler on his impressive Olympic trials!
Good morning Mike thanks much for your video the drive way isgreat thanks Adam still good people in our world
I realize that you did all sorts of road construction work, but you make the spreading of the stone look so effortless !
To somewhat answer your comment, I was a local, state and Federal officer for over 35 years. Some states( Washington and Oregon).shoplifters have to take over $1000 dollars worth of goods at one time to be prosecuted. .Some state have a no pursuit policy, regardless of the crime, I was a sergeant in a major California City and two things you never want to see made.... are California laws and sausages ....great show and don't let the negative stuff get to you..... Semper Gumby.... always flexible
Mike , please use a harness when you are in the basket of the lift. I was using one and hit a bump and it nearly bounced me out of the basket !! Pucker factor was VERY HIGH , be safe.
Ok safety Sally
I just recently got done using a Genie boom lift like that to take down a couple trees (a pine tree, and a dead elm), and trim up several more trees. It was borrowed (trade for a tune-up and oil change [Kubota gas engine]), and it only ran at a fast idle when we got it, but we got it fixed up running at the right speed. ((I see a Genie boom lift [diesel] at Ritchie Bors. starting at $5000))
If your feet are only about 5-6ft off the ground on a ladder, the trick is not to try to stop yourself if you fall but roll when you hit the ground. It can work if you're higher, but you know... 😄
Some great shots from outside the skid.
Road To Nowhere Is Lookin Awesome!!
You Are Doing A Great Job!! Like Always!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
Mike, i have never seen anyone enjoy getting stone as much you do. Greeting to Morgan clan. God Bless
Those man lifts are great, we rented one that you tow with your truck, if my memory is right you rented one of them years ago. We used it to take down a tree that was close to the house, worked great. Thanks Mike.
Morning Morgan's. Your road looks better than my town road! Your manhunt story reminds me of the Bucky Phillips manhunt that happened near me years ago 😳. Cops looking under every rock. Have a great day everyone.
I was up your way and stumbled into the middle of the Bucky Phillips man hunt lol. Near Fredonia was where I was
The road to 'nowhere', is really looking great Mike.
Flashing red lights on a police car, will not help an 80,000 pound semi stop , to get out of your way. Maybe adrenaline had something to do with it, but common sense should always prevail.
Wearing a harness is necessary too! It's to keep you in the basket. If not careful when moving, it's easy to be catapulted out!
thank you safety Sally
@@daveklein2826 I posted this based on incidents that I've known where guys didn't wear a harness. One was lucky to still be alive.
Melissa is so funny!
She reminded every one that Mike hit the picnic table once, many years ago!
Accidents happen, we forgive you Mike! LOL
Pretty sure I was already watching outdoors with the Morgans back then…
I remember that video but unsure if watching in near real time or binge-watching the first year to catch up.
Good Evening Morgans and good people. Happy birthday to the Huntman. My wife's birthday is June 29th 🙏
Always should wear a harness when working in a lift.
Happy birthday Hunter!
Lifts cost between 65,000 and 250, 000 depending on self propelled…I have a 65 that cost 95 when new…in the tree business it makes sense for daily use…but I’d love to have a 95 footer. Of course they come in many flavors.
Good Sunday Morning Morgans, Hi Hunt Man! I got to thinking a good boat shop that makes throttle cable for Pontoon boats may be able to make what Adam needs for his throttle on the roller. may not be perfect but if you don't ask you'll never know. Cheers!
I like the toothed bucket too. Looks like a row of stone waterfalls coming out of the bucket.
I’ve run machines like that for a long, long time always retracted in to this smallest that it can be when you run or try to drive with it. You’ll have much more control.
Good times mike cheers 🥂 😊
A friend of mine has an old 55' Snorkel articulated lift. I borrowed it to do some roofing work. He had a blast laughing at me trying to run it. The pedal safety caught me too. You probably had it in turtle mode. Good for tight areas.
Good Morning all
Morning
Awesome job on your road, Mike.
Looking great Mike!
Another great video of getting the job done!
I hope that rain yall got moves down this way. Man, it is dry and HOT. You just step outside and go to sweating. I had to put a rag in my pocket to keep the sweat out of my eyes while i was mowing yesterday. Have a great week and stay safe everybody
You haven't lived until you have run one of those manlifts out of bottom of an open pit mine in the wind and snow with haul trucks passing you all the way.
Hey Mike
Long time watcher here. I was going to comment last post, but now have to this one. Since the beginning your camera work has really improved. Now, from just “good camera work,
“ now, with this opening, your moving into “cinematography .” Great work !
Good Morning Mike and the rest of the rest of Morgan family. Still think you should be a consultant for penndot. Maybe the pa roads will be better! Nothing like rolling on the clay roads here in the nw pa country (dirt) roads. It amazes me Roman roads (cobblestone) are still around and yes big trucks roll over them. Yes some of them are involved in freeze and thaw. But are new roads do not last only a few years before needing replacement. 😉God bless everyone on this Sunday!🛻🚚🚓
Great progress Mike Every time The road is looking so good
Good morning, Mike! I have truly enjoyed all of your family's videos. Love all of your machines, I don't care what others say, please keep on being yourself! Take care and I'll see y'all on the next one!👍👍🙏♥️😎🇺🇲
Mike you’re doing an awesome job on that road. It’s looking great. Nice of your friend to drop off his roller. I do love those man lifts. They are really the ticket. Take care and have a good one!👍❤️
Great job on the road to nowhere, as for anything higher than a step stool higher a bird!
And here is one of the benefits of being a friend.
I think the landplane is one of the best attachments for a gravel road. I don't get to use a large roller but I know they do a great finishing job. I hope all is well.
Very nice job on the new road!!
Good morning Mike, watching you and then this came to mind “Mikes Rolling, Rolling, Rolling Rawhide “. Well done Mike. 😀👍👍👍
It's never been the height. I routinely sit 20-40 feet up trees during the fall and winter. It does however, give a bit of a pucker when that tiny thought of the sudden stop at the bottom enters the brain. I always recheck my harness and safety line every single time that little thought worms its way up. All of this after descending at terminal velocity from very high altitudes in my youth. Just always remember - Safety Third. And how I love the JLGs vs the Bos'n chairs.
my road related projects haven't graduated to a land plane yet. Your accelerated time lapse is one of your best skills along with a very controlled pour when u dump grave
