"Pizza on Pizza: Little slices of cheese pizza topped on a slice of cheese pizza" hits hard. As a certified pizza connoisseur, I can confirm that the word "pizza" first appeared in a Latin text from the town of Gaeta in southern Lazio, Italy, then still part of the Byzantine Empire, in 997 AD. The text states that a tenant of certain property is to give the bishop of Gaeta, duodecim pizze ("twelve pizzas"), every Christmas Day, and another twelve every Easter Sunday.
The first pizzeria in the US was opened in New York City's Little Italy in 1905. Distinct regional types developed in the 20th century, including California, Chicago, Detroit, Greek (from New England), New Haven (also New England), NYC, and St. Louis styles. Thirteen percent of the US population consumes pizza on any given day.
Weren’t you in an eboys video that one time?
why is kim jong-un telling me this
Thanks for sharing your wisdom kim jong-un
Thank you Kim Jong-un for inventing pizza but letting Italy have it since you’ve already created so many amazing things
the close cousin of the toast sandwich
As an American I love laughing at other Americans and then laughing at myself when I do something violently American
that sounds fun
What’s something you do that’s violently American?
@@VantaDraws Shoot guns.
@@VantaDraws usually I talk shit about how our government is failing us and poisoning our food, but the second a European says anything for whatever reason my inner patriot just erupts like eagles screaming and shit behind me as I’m holding a fuckin Big Mac it’s wild idk why it happens to all of us
Violent is the perfect way to describe American activities. (ps not hating, I literally live in Chicago 😭)
i love the idea of people outside the united states thinking we have shit like round meals on our store shelves
Tbf it’s not far off from some of the stuff in my local grocery store
@@insertrelevantusername8760 true i did see mac and cheese flavored ice cream at the store once
@@kiggycorn187 MURICAA!!1!! 🦅🦅
You have to admit it’s believable though.
I actually have seen round meals at the grocery store before.
I'm American and even I sometimes mess up on if we have to put months or days first in dates, we do everything inefficiently except murder. We're pretty good at that one.
Going to New York is ALSO an experience. I was born and raised in the NYC suburbs and going into the city by train never gets old because there is always something to do. It's a magical place whether it's because of the people in the subway (like the genius at 1:31) or when it's snowing! And yeah, you'll find a lot of Japanese restaurants in the East Coast (and US in general) don't actually have Japanese employees (it's either Chinese, Korean, or White), and that's because the majority of Japanese people in the US are on the West Coast (which is why the government built internment camps for them in the western states during WWII). The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture has estimated that only a tenth of them in the states are actually Japanese-operated. There are less Japanese-Americans in the US than Chinese-Americans too.
The reason so many sushi restaurants are Chinese-owned? It's because Chinese restaurants aren't as profitable as Japanese restaurants, so they opt to open Japanese ones instead
why ru on every video
I see Chinese running Japanese sushi places in every country. It's kinda weird. Not that I care who runs what restaurant, but it's just so consistent.
Anyone who can train even one cat has my undying respect. A cat is an animal that can memorise up to a hundred words of command - but doesn't want to.
That accent was scarily accurate
Most Japanese restaurants where I live (Canadian city) are run by Korean or Chinese people. There are more Korean and Chinese immigrants here than Japanese immigrants
I’m glad George can roast America while also appreciating our interesting bits… I think George would be a New Jersey fan.
Get this man a pork roll egg & cheese on a hard roll and he’ll become a permanent resident
The Dunkin robber stretching is one of my favorite stories about my own city of all time
A friend of mine worked a summer in Starbucks when he was younger. He retains a phrase from that time: "It's a Dave day," meaning everything is going badly? Why? on his first day the first three customers were all called Dave, and they ended up with each others' drinks - and blamed him.
Another banger, good job Zorze
when ever i watch a foreign movies i watch them of there og language because that's how they were meant to be watch so i turn on the subtitles and ther some of the best zombies movies i've seen like dead snow and train to busan
That plant behind the green screen brings me such comfort thank you George Memeulous 🙏

Props to george for recognizing the daily struggles of a third world "Country" The United States of America
Mad respect ✌
As an American, I can relate to eating pizza on pizza, truly one of the foods of all time.
Even George knows Indiana has nothing going for it 😭😭
LMAO and he’s not even from the us… everyone knows it sucks here ig 💔
Well, it's not Delaware. Surely that counts for something?
But it has got Holiday World
George talking about going to my state and calling it an experience. Honestly yeah it is 😰
Man, he is so right about the South being an experience. I grew up in Alabama, and it was like some insane Southern Gothic novel.
Yeah I saw the instagram story and froke out 😭
@@ekit254 Froke 😭
@@hvhyche I also grew up in alabama and not really? I was in birmingham though, maybe it’s different in other areas.
I'm with you on McGriddles, absolute best thing on the menu.
George’s laugh is so contagious it’s unreal
3:00 oooh the McGriddle. Those things never fail to give me a tummy ache but I cannot resist ordering them if given the opportunity.
I love these no context videos
We will miss the boxes greatly
I agree with George on the micgriddle being the best McDonald's breakfast option
Sad to see the owner of Unnecessary Necessities died and they're probably closed for good
All George M viewers in Indiana must now put all their cash together and buy the store to keep the legend alive
The reason US McDonald's breakfast is so good is because here in the US we like to start the day with one foot already in the bad health coffin
'imagine falling in love with someone who uses subtitles' ... imagine falling in love with someone who forgets Disabled people exist xD
(obv anyone can use subtitles, and ik non-native English speakers find them super useful to, but you know, the joke)
I once had a Starbucks employee ask my name. I quite clearly said "James". Cue confusion and me wondering where my coffee was waiting at the collection point while the barista was calling out for "Maisey" to collect. I am a 6'6" bearded man. How exactly she thought it was more likely that my name was Maisey than James, I have no idea.
No context USA is what I needed today, thank you George
“Round meal. Feeds three men. How to do it: Boil in bag, open and enjoy. Protien blasted.”
Thank you for acknowledging that it is easier to find good food in New York than in LA. I been living in California for 2 years now (I hate it. Like why the HELL is the air so GROSS and why does nobody know how to DRIVE????) and thought I was going crazy when I couldn't find a food place that amazes me. There is only really one, and it's the Okonomiyaki shop in Little Tokyo
Mate you live in California. It’s fucking filthy
the okomiyaki shop in lil tokyo fucks so hard . honestly in my experience the food places in ""nicer"" areas arent as good and tend to be so much more overpriced.
@@tangledupinblu people say that california is the hub for diverse and good food but like @.@ i feel like i had better food and diversity back in Massachusetts for a lot cheaper
@@barrelman6073 idk how anyone says this is the "best state" i am miserable and can't even have nice crispy air to make me feel better
LA sucks as someone who’s from Toronto. I’m used to taking public transit everywhere and not driving, but the public transit system in LA is pure ass.
Yeah me and the boys eat our 'Roundmeals' once a day, real American tradition lmao, but for real i've never seen that monstrosity in my life.
I once won a visit from davis
Thank you, Zorze! That was hilarious.
"3:50 "So If you can look after 65 cats, an and train them all to steal from your neighbor's". Then you can fix a bike, and if you can fix a bike you can fix a car, if you can fix a car you can learn to fix a lynx mark 8 helicopter, a Pacific 24 sea boat a 4 and a half inch naval gun, a Samson radar system or a type 45 destroyer, and when you can fix all that, you’ll be a Royal Navy engineer.
6:48 george doesn't realize that flying Delta to Atlanta says absolutely nothing about where you're actually going
Yeah, him saying "it's in the same country" shows that he does not understand just how big the US is.
@@mr._2994It still doesn't take that long to fly from one part of the US to the other though does it?
@@craigbush9449 I mean, even just a flight from New York to Atlanta is still 2 hours, and they are on the same side of the country.
@@mr._2994 oh yeah I get that but I don't think that would warrant an inflatable bed to rest on 😂

never thought I would ever hear memeulous say ANYTHING good about the united states.
8:29 3 dollar each + tax. Another crazy thing that they don’t include tax with the price.
hello George i work at a restaurant in north Carolina and we put cinnamon sugar on our sweet potato fries because there naturally sweet and salt on french fries
George is the perfect person to make fun of both Britain and America. Most British people making fun of the US is annoying because they can’t even realize the ridiculous stuff about their own country, and Vice versa.
There's way less ridiculous stuff about the UK compared to the US
@@yeetjones927 Really? I live in the UK and we are pretty goofy. Us is pretty goofy too. Bo'l'o'wa'r and Baddle of Wader. Both goofy. The British lost their tea in the habour and the Americans lost their teeth in Texas.

Re: High up plug sockets. Apparently, in houses at least, they are meant to be for wall clocks, it used to be common for them to be main-powered rather than battery-powered
Growing up we had electric clocks in the kitchen, dining room and lounge but they were wired directly into the wall,, didn't use sockets at all.
With those girls talking about cooking during their teen years or studying in school.
I personally had a mom who made some great food, so I didn't need to cook as a teen. I was busy day dreaming about being famous but never figuring out how to get there.
My mother tried to teach both me and my sister to cook (I'm male).
It did not go well. Whenever I'd ask "How much X should you put in?" she'd say "Until it looks right."
As a result, I am to this day a Crocodile Dundee cook. You can live on it, but it tastes like sh
Americans do the date with the month first because in casual conversations in American English if someone asks you the date Americans would say “it’s February 16th 2023” for example

George’s critique for every meal is “iT jUsT lOoKs DrY”
American who worked in restaurants here-a lot of our sweet potato fries come with a vanilla sugar coating before they’re even cooked. Some places serve them with marshmallow cream or a syrup type sauce.
Gotta agree with my boy Church here, some Starbucks employees can't get your name right even if it's common.
They actually sell the chocolate covered bacon at the Hershey chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. You’d think it’d be awesome, but it is so dry and salty that you spend five minutes drinking out of the water fountain
I absolutely only watch shows with subtitles on, especially if they have thicker accents I can't understand, but I watch a lot of foreign shows and films as well, so I don't have much of a choice for some.
George. The fact you can stomach the monstrosity that is the McGriddle is concerning
2:01 YES GEORGE!!!! HERE FROM YORK!
SAME!!!
The power outlets aren’t high up, George is low down.
Sadly, the round meal is only an artpiece.
My family are deaf and I can’t watch anything without subtitles anymore 🤣
I moved to Canada from the UK and I can confirm they also do their dates backwards and it confuses me so much. I have lived here for half a year and I am still not used to it

i love mcgriddles so much
As someone living in Indiana, I don't know why anyone would come here either lmao.
American dates are like that because it makes dates easier to remember/read out loud… idk if this is the same in Britain but it’s more colloquially common to say “April fourteenth 2023” than it is to say “the fourteenth of April 2023”
ive definitely heard the latter more often in britain yh, but a lot of ppl just say 'the fourteenth'
But you have fireworks on the Fourth of July, not July the Fourth. Go figure.
I like your chain George

"One in three Americans weighs as much as the other two."
Is there a connection here?
@@lomax343 We were given some US hotdogs (tinned) and some US breaded chicken steaks. Believe it or not BOTH - under the description of ingredients in the MEAT part - had sugar in the meat (the chicken also had it in the crumb coating AND in whatever gunk they used to attach the coating to the chicken - at home you'd use beaten egg). Incidentally they both tasted horrible and not even the cat or neighbour's dogs would eat them (rather alarming I thought). Not surprised they're largely obese if they're putting all that muck into their bodies. I mean, honestly, who the heck puts SUGAR INTO CHICKEN MEAT?
Fun side note to the picture of the lady eating her food from the Rearwing. In germany, some people actualy call it "Frittentheke" wich basicly means "French Fry Counter" ^^
