Then, life happened and I wound up forgetting Alberto Manguel's name, and the name of this series. Despite these cognitive gaffs, I always held fast to his wonderfully rich, lilting voice, and his friendly, inquisitive visage. A few months ago, via some circuitous, serendipitous route, I found a quote of his in an old drawing book of mine barely looked at for the last twenty years. While luxuriating in rediscovering his words, suddenly it dawned on me! It was him, Señor Manguel! Like the day I stumbled over his words tucked away in a forgotten art book, I am now equally thrilled and immensely grateful to you for sharing this series.
