My dad bought so many Chevy , Ford & dodge trucks when I was growing up , I could'nt say what yrs most of them were..
He bought them not running .
Which meant he paid $50 or so .
But he would get em running , drive em awhile & sell em.
Some trucks I really liked h wanted him to keep them.
But he wasnt in love with any of em & they were always for sale..
I bought two from him in the late 70's .
A 71 F100 that was worn out & a 72 F100 that was wrecked in the front..
I swapped out the front clip , had er' painted & I had a sweet 72 short box . It had a 302 with a 4 speed on the floor.
It looked great & sounded great..
Wish I had kept it...
It only had 39k on it when I bought it .
It had over a 100k when I sold it..

57 Ford truck is nice looking truck. The Chevy grain truck is too. That green chevy truck is very good styling. Yes the headlights are so Cadillac like.
I wish I could go to a auction like that just to look at all the cool stuff I'd probably drag home some old motorcycles and snowmobiles

Listening to u explain the difference between years is awesome. I wish I had half the knowledge of these cars. My dad and I used to go to car shows and junk yards and he would point out the years and differences. Ive retained some.

Yeh always loved that body style, I have a 66 I got after I graduated high school in 1984, still have it and drive it on a regular basis. Congrats on the purchase!

That old lathe was pretty cool, I used one of those at a shop I worked at in the early 80's, had a local establishment at the time that could supply belts by dimension. The pickup will make a good driver without much work, lucky you still have old farm auctions to attend, fun stuff.

I love the farm auctions. I always get excited looking at older trucks from the west. I am from Wisconsin so they all rust out fast. I am not going to lie I am a bit envious of you CZcamsrs but also at this point on my time I have no room for projects

The thing about auctions is that eventually you find out that it’s not the things that you did buy that you regret, it’s the things you didn’t buy. That truck will come out real nice when you’re done with it. Good purchase.

It's great to see how much interest there is for these Old Trucks. We had a bunch of trucks back in the 70's and 80s.... loved my 70 C10 ... 3 door Suburban... it was the beast of the rock n roll generation!

you're at auction looking at solid Iron that'd been sitting around for decades. with solid frames some good-looking surface rust, on the other hand. my chinesim steel 08 Silverado needed 4 extra holes cut into to remove the bed, today I had to Adrees why had to remove the bed not gas tank, "the tank strap hardware was rotted away" yep trade you this 08 for anything you get running lol/ tomorrow attempt to put all back together, not quiet factry but good enough. Love these auctions.

I like that old Ford truck you won at the auction, you rarely see them anymore I think that was a good investment. The chevy...always a winner and appears to be Duff approved he was checking it out like a kid with a new toy
That's awesome man! My first vehicle was a 65 chevy truck back in school! Same running gear! They took good care of it! You got a great truck! I wouldn't change anything on it! Just make it road worthy!

Very cool '64 (had one like it, with a 3 speed). It'd be cool to see a future segment on it. Kinda wished there would have been another scene like the last short though, with your buddies throwing shade on each other while the helped move stuff (a time honored tradition here in Minnesota, too). Nice score!

The 64 truck was owned by my grandfather from around 1970-75 or so. I think he was the second owner. I remember riding in it at his farm, just west of Heimdal. He sold it to his friend Arden as his health was failing. I looked into buying it but I live in Texas and it was too big of a project for me. I am so happy you have restored it. I really enjoy your YT channel.
