@@davysanders4922 hmm i liked certain parts of both. I like being very busy and the robot facility gets extremely busy during peak. That makes it very tiring. The traditional facility is easier in terms of productivity rate but the items are heavier which has a higher risk of great injury. Overall, i think i slightly prefer the robot facility.
Im a picker working at Amazon fc and tbh I really don’t like working there. However, working at Amazon has also given me the opportunity to just think about my life which I really needed, helped me decide what I really wanted, relationship, job, all that stuff. And also gave me a chance to control my overthinking or negative thinking. The short breaks are something I don’t like, it’s only 2 thirty minute breaks, IMO it’s not enough time to recover and get the mind straight for work again.
i felt exactly the same. I spent a lot of my time thinking about the dreams I want to achieve and what i needed to do to achieve them. all while I was slaving away haha. And now I'm in Japan teaching! One step closer to a bigger dream. Keep grinding until you find what you really want to do! Good luck!!
As someone who works for a company who's a third party seller on Amazon, it's interesting to see how you pick and pack our items that we send to the FBA centers.
I plan on getting a job as a packer at Amazon so I wanted to see some of the daily task I would be doing. This video was very informative. Thank you for sharing.
Great video, I've always wondered what does on behind the scenes when I order something and this was an interesting look into it. They need to treat people like you a hell of a lot better. People pissing in bottles comes to mind
i worked for amazon from dec 2020- march 2021 in its sortation centre doing stowing, picking and loading. I did 12 hr night shifts 3/4 days a week. I live in england and got payed £10.71/hr and £11.71/hr during peak. Its hard, boring, repetitive work, hence the 3 months. Respect to the people who do this work for yearrssss.
Amazon has really helped the companies making boxes. The box company near me for the past 30 years was about to close every year, the other day I saw where they were adding on to the plant and hiring more workers.
That's good for the box companies. I'm glad they're growing more. I always felt bad for those companies because some of our packers waste the boxes if it's not folding properly or if it's not glued right. I try to fix them lol
I’m a packer and it’s a little different where I work at. The tote full of products comes down a line and we pick one up and we have to pack the box and tape it up and throw it on the conveyor-belt. Our rate is normally 70-80 boxes an hour.
Nice, LGB6!!!! I use to work at LGB4, did the away team at SBD2, and now I'm at PSP1. Thinking about going back to a Non Sort Amazon since I know how to do everything there.
1a7 and 1a boxes, basically the small ones, you can usually skip putting dunnage because it will kick out and go to the slammer anyways, especially if the product is very light. On some cases though, when the product looks really fragile, or heavy, I'll put a lot of dunnage. But yeah most of the time for 1a, 1a7 i skip the dunnage. Also, if the item looks like it's a really good fit in the box, like it wouldn't move much, you don't need to put dunnage either. Hope this helps!
I packed at an FC in WA, 50 lbs or less, and we had a tape machine kinda like a small register, with buttons that dispense tape according to the box size punched in. Also all the items cane down in totes on conveyors for me. Heaviest packages I’ve packed were weights, an anvil, so much kitty litter, and Fiji water.
That was probably a robot facility! Cool i worked in one too! And I've worked with those tape machines as well. We called them water tape machines because they're water activated. I love using them!
Packing at a fulfillment center is definitely pretty different. They need a better system for restocking boxes and envelopes though especially where I am.
I thought the same thing. Try ordering a big item next time. Just in terms of probability, there's so many more boxes that are being taped with water tape compared to clear tape.
I’m shocked you were aloud to record this when I worked for Amazon then would even allow our phone in the FC but it’s funny how nothing has changed from what I seen in your vid but in my FC we didn’t have have someone to make custom boxes we had to do them on our own and we’re still expected to hit rate great video though man
This not the same around the country, in my location: PDX9 Pack: We have to tape the bottom, flip, pack, tape, label, and send on the line. (Provided label makers, tape printers, and cutter at station) Units per hour pack : 200 required, easily hitting 268 (station depending). Use to pick at about 458 UPH before I switched.
Im a picker (I use OP Pit) And i cannot stress enough how painful it its to move those umbrellas though the tiny ass space between the OP and the cage. There was one time where my whole cage was filled with umbrellas and dumbells. I had to leave early because i was about to collapse. thanks customers!
I had already planned to quit at a certain time because i had another job lined up. It just got pushed back because of covid, so i ended up staying in Amazon for another 6 months. Thank you so much!!
Was thinking of applying for part time while in school. Now I really don’t know if I want to anymore, and apparently you can’t use headphones but I heard that depends on the managers.

Excellent and informative content. I laughed more than a few times as well lol.
Thank you! Glad i could make you laugh
LOL - I love it! Very interesting....
Thank you!
So well made! Thanks:) the ending made me laugh a lot hahah
Thank you so much! I'm glad i could entertain you a bit!
Ty 4 this. Makes me appreciate my product more. Makes me realize the hard work that gets put into it just getting it to my door step. Your job seemed very labor intensive! Hope youre doing well.
doing very well thank you!
Dope video! Loved the commentary and clips you made 👍
thank you!!
WoW. Amazing filming and editing
Thank you!
Strange yet interesting to see how different this is compared to an FC (where I work) with robots.
Yep i was so shocked when i went from a robot facility to this facility
@@davysanders4922 hmm i liked certain parts of both. I like being very busy and the robot facility gets extremely busy during peak. That makes it very tiring. The traditional facility is easier in terms of productivity rate but the items are heavier which has a higher risk of great injury. Overall, i think i slightly prefer the robot facility.
@@davysanders4922 good luck!
Good luck!!
I worked in a Warehouse too- dull labour, but plenty of time to think...
@@joequimby5658 yes i enjoyed the thinking time
Try delivering packages, you'll get lost in your thoughts.
amazing video. thank you
Thank you for watching!
As someone who works for a company who's a third party seller on Amazon, it's interesting to see how you pick and pack our items that we send to the FBA centers.
i'm glad you found it interesting! thank you
I plan on getting a job as a packer at Amazon so I wanted to see some of the daily task I would be doing. This video was very informative. Thank you for sharing.
No problem good luck!
How's it going?
How is it going? Are you still working there?
That was actually interesting Mark.
For once lol
It was always interesting just this was unexpected
I have so much respect for you. Wish you a good life.
Thank you! I wish you the same!
Such care and dedication to your job.
Thank you
Great video, I've always wondered what does on behind the scenes when I order something and this was an interesting look into it. They need to treat people like you a hell of a lot better. People pissing in bottles comes to mind
They just need to lower their expectations and the workers won't suffer as much.
And thanks!
Lmao “weird flex” took me out 😂😂💕
lol glad you enjoyed it!
That was cool bro..nicely done and mad pro in the industry. Mad love bro stay hungry cuzzz. Salute
Thanks yo!!
Great video! Nice work and informative :)
Thank you so much!
i worked for amazon from dec 2020- march 2021 in its sortation centre doing stowing, picking and loading. I did 12 hr night shifts 3/4 days a week. I live in england and got payed £10.71/hr and £11.71/hr during peak. Its hard, boring, repetitive work, hence the 3 months. Respect to the people who do this work for yearrssss.
Respect to you as well sir! Thank you for sharing your experience!
Massive credit to you man. You guys the real mvp during pandemic. Logistics
Thanks man
i like these logistics stuff very much....superb
Logistics can be pretty cool
Great insightful video
Thank you!
I try to fix them lol
isnt thie contributing to enviromental issues?
I’m a packer and it’s a little different where I work at. The tote full of products comes down a line and we pick one up and we have to pack the box and tape it up and throw it on the conveyor-belt. Our rate is normally 70-80 boxes an hour.
That's cool! That would save us so much time if the cages with the products came to us automatically.
Are you a single packer?
Or a flow packer
@@goodnessifebigh4080 i did singles, multi, etc. Not sure what flow is
I’m a singles packer
Nice, LGB6!!!! I use to work at LGB4, did the away team at SBD2, and now I'm at PSP1. Thinking about going back to a Non Sort Amazon since I know how to do everything there.
PSP1! I think I know some people there! Yeah Non sort is pretty chill I think. Good luck! And thank you for watching!
Dude! I love your humor! 😂😂
Great content too 👍
Thank you so much!!
I use to work as a packer at another warehouse before and man, I miss having that job.
I actually miss the actual act of boxing/packing. Not Amazon though lol
Hey, I noticed you dont put dunnage in alot of the 1a7 or other "taping" boxes. Do you think I can get away with that to save time and make rate?
1a7 and 1a boxes, basically the small ones, you can usually skip putting dunnage because it will kick out and go to the slammer anyways, especially if the product is very light. On some cases though, when the product looks really fragile, or heavy, I'll put a lot of dunnage. But yeah most of the time for 1a, 1a7 i skip the dunnage. Also, if the item looks like it's a really good fit in the box, like it wouldn't move much, you don't need to put dunnage either. Hope this helps!
@@maakudesuyo oh man this will cut minutes off my time hahah sooper thanks for the tips mang!!!!
Also lol an anvil
Amazing video
thank you so much
Packing at a fulfillment center is definitely pretty different. They need a better system for restocking boxes and envelopes though especially where I am.
I never got to work with envelopes. They seem fun lol
@@maakudesuyo they aren’t too bad. Can suck sometimes when trying to close them when their full.
The ending sound effect!! LOL
haha game over!
Love the voice over!
Thank you so much!
Awesome footage guy!!!
Thank you!
Damn! This guys hustling even at an Amazon job. Respect!😤
thank you thank you!
I've never once seen an Amazon package with clear tape....
I thought the same thing. Try ordering a big item next time. Just in terms of probability, there's so many more boxes that are being taped with water tape compared to clear tape.
I love this guys commentary
thank you!
Make more videos like this please, I love it..
Will do my best thank you
I lost my mind working for Amazon I had to do it when Covid started Bc I lost my job was not my thing left for construction and so much happier
glad you're at a happier place
I'd imagine a more physically involved job like construction is much more enjoyable than the repetitive and mundane experience over there at Amazon
I’m shocked you were aloud to record this when I worked for Amazon then would even allow our phone in the FC but it’s funny how nothing has changed from what I seen in your vid but in my FC we didn’t have have someone to make custom boxes we had to do them on our own and we’re still expected to hit rate great video though man
thanks so much!
This not the same around the country, in my location: PDX9
Pack: We have to tape the bottom, flip, pack, tape, label, and send on the line. (Provided label makers, tape printers, and cutter at station)
Units per hour pack : 200 required, easily hitting 268 (station depending).
Use to pick at about 458 UPH before I switched.
Cool! What kind of building was it?
Great video, thank you
Thank you for watching!
Im a picker (I use OP Pit) And i cannot stress enough how painful it its to move those umbrellas though the tiny ass space between the OP and the cage. There was one time where my whole cage was filled with umbrellas and dumbells. I had to leave early because i was about to collapse. thanks customers!
Thank you for your hard work!!
awwww little cwybaby had to work for his money.
@@YourSweatyUncle that was uncalled for.
this guy is funny. his accent n humor are matched well.

Nice video I remember working At that location and I also remember when we ship the first box out
day 1!! awesome! thank you!
Awesome vid.
Thanks 👍👍!
Awesome video bro. I actually don’t really see what you guys do. I drive the blue Amazon van
Thanks bro! Mad respect to you guys! Sorry for all the unbalanced and weirdly packed boxes haha
When you got hired didn’t you sign something that says not to record inside the warehouse to protect trade secrets? Dope video though
thank you. You know what....I don't actually remember lol
Great video man i was laughing every scene
Thank you!
Amazing!
Thank you
The camera in the box epic af bra
thanks man!
Absolutely amazing, especially the last part. Were you fired for that, or did you quit on your own behalf?
I had already planned to quit at a certain time because i had another job lined up. It just got pushed back because of covid, so i ended up staying in Amazon for another 6 months.
Thank you so much!!
@@maakudesuyo 6 months.. wow..
Amazing shooting
Thank you!
Thank you l just got home from my 3rd day and this was so helpful
Good luck!
No wayyy, I used to work at LGB6 LOL!! I was a learning ambassador and was in icqa but also did picking and packing
Nice! I really wanted to do picking but by the time i was about to get trained, i was hired for a different job.
Was thinking of applying for part time while in school. Now I really don’t know if I want to anymore, and apparently you can’t use headphones but I heard that depends on the managers.
Its fuckin brutal bru.
Also, long hair = hidden earphones
some guys would just wear beanies all the time and hide it like that
Damn that was some really exciting filming
Thanks man
that hey baby line.....wasn't expecting that lmao. thanks for the laugh
Glad i was able to make you laugh! Thank you!
