That's the sound. Sublime!
Great sounding
It does the job very well.
I'm pretty impressed by the tone you get from it.
It's pretty, and you make it sound good.
In your hands any box will sound great tim! I had the first year made in japan one of those…i really dug it but i sold it to get something else. I shoulda kept it!
It's in the fingers & it obviously has to be set up to the players preference. Jack Pearson plays $100 Squiers & sounds like a million bucks.
Jack is a wonderful player.
This is true.
Complimenti 🎉🎉🎉
They sound good. - The new models come with DeArmond and HB too.
I played one that felt like a $800 guitar. Might have needed a pro setup. Wasn't impressed by their semi's. I went with an Ibanez AM2000H and am quite happy with it. Small, light, hollow, sweet tone, plays like top tier.
Sounds beautiful Tim. But you could make a shoebox with rubber bands wrapped around it sound amazing! After watching you play and wanting to sort of emulate a bit, I bought myself a squier vibe telecaster (sure, not the real fender) and I absolutely love it. I got a small 10w amp (loud enough for my wife to ask me to turn it down) and I was setup for around $500... But hey, I'm just learning so I don't need much stuff. ❤ your channel Tim!
😎
The D'angelicos now are made in Korea and are exceptionally high quality in my experience, at least in terms of aesthetics. The same factory (I think) does the Gretsch hollow bodies and they are also impeccable. The factory can't help that they have poor specs like pressed tops. You can't make a good sounding archtop guitar without a carved solid wood top. Electric tone to the audience isn't affected whatsoever by the acoustic tone, but it does make a big difference to how the player connects to the instrument.
Joe Pass, Tal Farlow, Jim Hall, Barney Kessel, Jimmy Raney, Herb Ellis, Grant Green all played laminate top instruments. The carved thing is not always what the greats used. Many of Bob Bennedetto and Roger Sadowsky high end guitars that go for 8g and up have laminate tops. Just sayin’.
I'm a lefty and someone is selling one of these near me. Not very common left handed! Feels like it's been sitting listed online for over a year... maybe I should look at it... 😇
Can we have your opinion on this guitar please...?
Coming soon.
Sounds good to me. Are you going to do a second try? I would like to hear more.
Coming up soon
practically any half-decent guitar will do fine as log as it's set up comfortably to play
Only two guitars I can hear all day with no listening fatigue: a great classical and hollowbody jazz guitar. This one, Tim, sounded like you had to enhance a little, huh? 😉
Just a little reverb from the amp. No additional “enhancement” unless you consider my fingers.
$1900.00 is affordable?!? It is a laminate guitar that is made in Inchon, Korea. A 1990's Samick Artist Series, in your hands, would sound just as good and cost well under half that price. Maybe change the pickups.
A well-made hollowbody jazzbox for the price of an entry-level American factory solid-body does qualify as, "affordable."
Everything's relative.
@@CZcamsHandlesAreMoronicExactly what I was thinking. It’s all relative, especially if we compare the average prices of jazz boxes.
Depends on who u are I guess.
affordable has become very problematic.
never really liked how D'Angelicos looked, I just clicked to hear you play
One of the best looking guitars made. I have the Bob Weir deluxe and was a little worried on the look of that headstock. Until I got it. First, it plays and sounds like no other guitar I have. And it is an absolute work of art. I keep it in its case cause I don’t want scratched or damaged. They are gorgeous.
I had one recently, I found it somehow soulless.
D.Angelico is the best jazz guitar suond and body❤
Tim is better teacher jazz
