as an osu!mania player, i approve this tutorial, is very clear and detailed, and is very good for beginners and people that are stuck on the same start, this video should deserve more likes so everyone can see it
I am a player who quit (against my will) because my computer broke. I returned to osu! on October 5, and I would like to provide my tips too. I jumped from 8th dan, to 10th dan, to Alpha, Beta, (All in October), Luminal, (in November) Gamma, and finally, Tachyon (in December). Aiming for Delta Dan next. (I will try not to repeat any tips already in the video) #1. Play with friends: This really helped me increase skill. This was the reason why I even got Gamma and Tachyon in the first place. You’ll be demotivated or bored if you play alone, so try to chat with your friends who also play, ask them for tips if they’re better and give tips to those who’re on a lower skill level. #2. Play maps that challenge you: This also played a huge role in my rapid improvement. Do play challenging maps, but not those that you’re SURE you can’t beat. For example, you’re Alpha Dan but you try Delta Stamina. The type of challenging maps you’re supposed to play are like: You’re Luminal Dan so you play low-Gamma maps. (As in, a low difficulty level of a Gamma map. You can find Gamma practice maps if you search at the osu! website. #3. Don’t have high expectations: If you have high expectations for yourself or you have a goal that’s too difficult to achieve at your current level, you should consider lowering those expectations. If you aim too high and you don’t reach that goal, you’ll be heavily demotivated to play. Just try to have goals that are moderately difficult to achieve. For example, trying to pass Fallen Symphony while being a little bad at LNs. #4. Don’t always go for push sessions. Add some variety to your playing sessions: (Accuracy, LNs, SVs, etc.) Overdoing push sessions is guaranteed to bring you pain, because of course, you are pushing your skills to improve. If you feel like you’re getting nowhere with your push sessions, do an accuracy session where you try to set a good accuracy score (SS, 999k score, etc.) or practice your SV skills by playing SV maps. (Polyriddim and other unreadable maps that require memorization does not count.)
i push all the time and accuracy is boring all you do is reset the whole thing just because one of your hit is 1 planck time early or late also sv ########### 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Holy, nice man! When I was actually focused on progression and when I could actually play since my pc/monitor is broken rn, I went up from 5th Dan to 9th in like 2 months. But honestly your progression is insane, pretty sure you can make it to Delta soon.
What do you recommend to increase focus? I always end up doing bad at the end of most maps I play because I struggle reading patterns for an extended period of time.
@@trashscript1479 just don’t overthink it, you can look at one focus point (ex: the place where your judgements show, in this case is the middle). there are times when you can’t look at one focus point so you can also follow along the notes as they go down. i’ve never had a problem with reading so i apologize if my advice isn’t that good for that problem
underrated video. it explains things very well and as an alpha player i can confirm this whole thing is true and i would recommend it to watch to some one who just started the game
After watching this video, taking 20 pages of cornell notes, writing a 5000 word essay, and tattooing these tips onto my skull, I can now say I am delta player after watching this video
for the last one am afraid some people will go be toxic and say am bad and shit and i really hate it cause i do want to be positive to myself but sadly people just keep being narcisit when i post a score in a channel
I havent played mania in the last 2 years and im trying to derust but my stamina is pretty bad i can play maybe 1 hour without having my forearms burning or wrist pain since most of the time i have sore forearms from the gym, i would love to improve i wish i was like the ppl that kept playing those 2 years i didnt and hit insane goals like delta or ganma, do u have any recommendations?, tbh ik my case is really strange among osu players as almost not a single top player takes the gym seriously also ive been trying skins but the only confortable one is the one crewk used in his delta run with 21-22 scroll speed so im pretty limited, but any help would be appreciated. Thank u so much if u read my comment.
i might have to quit playing because my keyboard for my laptop is broken. At first my keybinds was A W I L, now its Z S I L, now my S key is starting to break i don't know what to do...
at the screen naw but like i recommend looking at around the top of the screen personally if you have the muscle memory of timing the notes down. then you dont have to focus on timing the notes by looking down but instead only have to see the notes coming
Fully depends on your average stamina and what kid of session it is. If it's an acc session, then you're obviously gonna be able to play more than a speed / stamina session
I actually became aeonair after watching this
thats an unexpected aeonair mention, but I’m here for it
edit: i just saw the thumbnail lol
