- The Golden Enclaves came out at the end of September and I thought it was about time I updated my review from two years ago - spoiler alert it did get more gay.

Just read them all from the library, pretty much in a row. I definitely enjoyed the series as a whole.
Love the review Judith! You hit the nail on the head for me, why I didn't love the Golden Enclaves as much as the others. I think I just love getting stuck in a new world and magic system and The Scholomance to me always felt like its own character rather than just a setting, and I missed it in book 3!
I have had the first book just sitting on my shelves forever! I really do need to get to it soon!
I haven’t read these yet but my friend has lent me the first two so I’m excited to pick them up!
...not me sitting on the bottom of the stairs weeping because the Scholomance books ended.
I've listened to the audio books over 4 times now. I want the physical copies now just to have them.
Does anywhere in this trilogy mention Dracula or the devil running the school or the top graduate being chosen to control the weather while riding a flying dragon?
@@kvino9003 :( thanks. Well thats just some of the general mythology lore/romanian folklore of the scholomance.
And is mentioned a couple times in the origional Dracula book that he went to that school.
So im a little bummed some of that isn't mentioned.
@@VikingVern7 In the world of the book belief plays a big role in magic working, so I believe the idea is that the school was named scholomance due to it being a magical school in the minds of a lot of people due to the mythology and that allowing the school to function easier :)
Look at your cute hat!! I can't wait to dig into The Golden Enclaves!
I love it!
The Scholomance trilogy has, hands down, the best political commentary in any book that I have ever read. Ever
Hi! Can it be read as a stand alone?
I would say each book has a plot that is contained but they end on hefty cliffhangers and you'd need to read the first one to have context for the next
I would not read the books out of order. I feel that the third book will be underwhelming if you dont care about the characters yet.
