Yes its appalling, total neglect due to penny pinching. You do not see any of this in Ireland. The disease of privatisation. Great footage BTW

Didnt the 89 have it's own train supply fitted? I know when it was in GNER blue it ran the train supplies

Yes the 89 has standard ETS but the HST coaches use a different system to all other BR coaches hence the need for the power car to provide supply.
